Used to frequent this place manny moons ago. First time back since forever. Used to tell people they have the best Pepperoni pizza on this side of the city. For some reason I I had a craving for one tonight seeing that it's been about 17 years since I ate there. I ordered one, picked it up and almost ate the whole thing by myself. So my claims that domino's is the best pizza in Worcester didn't exactly go over so well on instagram (@bekkicrocker). I decided that I do owe the institution that is pizza more than making such claims without adequate experience. I pledge to sample every single pizza in Worcester to ascertain the best slice in this place. Anyways, my quest begins with Pizzeria Delight. There aren't nearly as many reviews for PD as there are for some other places which raises some suspicion. Either way, it is still the place with almost the best average review, so I figured it would be a safe place to start. Appetizer menu: the essentials are there: fries, wings, garlic bread. There was no option for cheesy fries or something more aggressive (ie, loaded fries). There was, however, ZUCCHINI STICKS. I don't know what that is but I am intrigued. Pizza menu: so you only have two options for sizes (small and large) which is inconvenient for people like I who are indecisive and feel that both small and large are too extreme. They do give you two crusts to choose from, regular and thin, as well as literally 25 toppings to choose from. Crust: bottom was a touch soggy but otherwise thickness was perfect. It wasn't quite like a classic NY thin crust but close. The edges were too dry. Sauce: great flavor but quantity too scant Cheese: perfect amount Toppings: I added garlic and it was to-die. Price: slightly more expensive than other places, the large cheese pizza is around $18 and it's probably the same size as a medium for Domino's Overall this pizza was great. It was at least as good as Domino's and maybe better but I don't quite feel the confidence required to make that determination. I will definitely order from here again. read more

I was in Worcester visiting my niece at Holy Cross College. My family and I just left the college after move-in and were told about Pizzeria delight by a Holy Cross staff member. We went into Pizzeria delight in the afternoon and we were greeted with a smile. We were unsure of what we wanted and as we were standing there, a customer recommended, tuna fish, and also the steak and cheese. My wife and I ordered tuna, fish, and the steak and cheese and my son ordered a small plain pizza. We decided to sit down and eat. We reside in Boston and have had plenty of pizza style food. This restaurant by far was the best quality and the best portion. The tuna fish was perfect. The steak and cheese was excellent Quality. And the small cheese pizza my son absolutely loved. My son also has acid reflux and sometimes pizza bothers it. This pizza did not bother him at all. You can tell that the quality of the food is top-notch. We are heading back to Holy Cross first week of October and we will definitely stop in to Pizzeria delight. Quality food great portions and excellent customer service. A definite A+. Was looking for some pizza late night one day and this joint was the only place open. We got a large super seven pizza with a side chicken Alfredo pasta for about $30. The pizza itself had great toppings but was so heavy that it turned out slightly soggy and not crispy on the bottom. The crust, however, was delicious and I think I'd come back for a simpler pizza! The chicken Alfredo pasta came with 2 side rolls and butter - I like my pasta a bit more Al dente and the Alfredo was meh. Needed to add a lot of pepper, salt, and some hot sauce to get some more flavor in it. Over all, I think this place has potential for the pizza but I think I'll skip on the pasta next time ! read more

I am not one to write a review, BUT I feel I need to share that my household cannot get enough of Pizzeria Delight. They have been our saving grace through Covid. Their food and service is among the best in the city of Worcester. We have ordered delivery and have picked up. The staff is so sweet and the place is clean and well kept. I got my mother hooked on the Mediterranean wrap. Turkey bacon wrap is another favorite. We love their pizza and appetizers. Their Caesar salad and grilled chicken is delicious. Seriously you cannot go wrong. Do yourself a favor and order a pizza. I highly recommend the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, spineta (as a pizza or calzone), WHITE PIZZA (never tasted anything like this one YUM), really any of them. Haven't had one we did not like. So good, that I'm typing while I eat! Typically we get pizza in town, but this was on my husband's way home. This is the best pizza we had since living in Boston and Westborough. They definitely make their own dough fresh, if I'm not mistaken. The pizza is awesome, not soggy, and super fresh! We will be picking up pizza from here again soon. read more

Still the best. We try others from time to time to see what else is out there but always go back to Pizzeria Delight as the best. Crust is crispy chewy. Sauce is authentic Italian. Generous cheese and toppings. J&S special-a fantastic meal: fried eggplant/ricotta cheese/mushrooms/tomato sauce. Truly a one of a kind pie. Solid takeout pizza. Good crust, its not too thick and has some chew to it. The prices are pretty reasonable and they have a lot of topping options. About the right amount of cheese and sauce. Easily better than any takeout pizza place in the suburbs, at least that I've experienced. Low quality ingredients, grilled chicken was small cut up pieces of chicken and barely edible. My boyfriend had a sub recently and said basically the same thing.. Very low quality ingredients. Solid spot. As other reviewers have noted, lovely service, decent pie, price is certainly right. Critical note: Greek-style pizza for those to whom that matters. Wonder how much Holy Cross business they get, it's a short albeit slightly scary walk from campus under and around some highway overpasses. The best pizza is not fancy, and Delight qualifies on that score, no airs, and also no cutting corners. I showed up as my pie was gliding out of the oven and the woman cashing me out lifted it up, checked out the underside, and slid it back in for a little extra (needed) cooking time. I'll take that over frou-frou ingredients any day. Four not five stars: sorry team, I am one of those insufferable snobs who prefers Neapolitan-style thin crust. #38 on the Worcester Pizza Quest Next on the Worcester Pizza Quest is Pizzeria Delight. I was not the one that placed the order or picked up the pizza. The person who did said the person on the phone sounded busy and quickly took the order and got off the phone. The location was a bit run down but seemed clean. Nothing outstanding good or bad was presented when picking up the place so in a way that is good. Now this where I come in woohooo "Pizza in the house", I open the box and poof, DAM! YUP, another Greek stylish pizza was staring back at me from the box. We ordered half black olive and half cheese. The black olive half had plenty of black olives so every bite would allow a taste of the olives. The cheese seemed thick on the slice that was pulled away. The first bite backed up the impression of lots of cheese. They did a great job of adding a touch more cheese than normal. The sauce was nothing special but also nothing bad. Average pizza sauce that could be found in any of the other pizza shops in the area. Half way through the first slice uncooked cheese could be seen from the bite I just took and the sauce was a big colder. I grabbed another slice and peeled back the cheese to see if my suspicions were correct. Sadly because of the abundance of cheese the pizza was not fully cooked so that all the cheese could not melt. The dough did not seem to be undercooked much, but there was a hint of gooeyness of uncooked dough. I think the pizza was heated enough so as to not cause a concern over health issues. But because it was uncooked I could not eat any more of the pizza it made me quizzy. We grabbed some leftovers and enjoyed it for dinner. Pizzeria Delight seemed like an ok place with ok customer service the uncooked pizza brings the bad rating. Maybe another day this place deserves another look because it could just be this one day it had a bit too much cheese. This is a common mistake that could happen at any pizza location. Even if the pizza was cooked I doubt the basic flavor of sauce, crust, cheese, and Greek style would have given the place a high rating. read more

I have had the pizza and the steak and cheese sub, both were really good. I am a health conscious eater but do enjoy a sub or pizza every once and awhile. More often than not I feel substandard (pun) after eating this type of food, this isn't the case with Pizzeria Delight. They definitely use fresh ingredients in their food as far my body can tell.
