Loved everything about this tasting room! The decor is so 1920s, with historical frosted glass from a hotel in Golden that closed- and it is stunning. Someone forgot the bathroom though. Our server was very sweet and made some good recommendations drink wise. Here are my thoughts on the drinks we tried Ella Brennan - dessert in a glass. So good with caramelized bananas as a garnish. Frida Khalo- tasty, with just a hint of spicy chili. Liked the Ella better but still good. Santanico pandemonium- really refreshing. Basically a lime Rickey with a kick. Really really liked this one. Lili'uokalani- named for the last queen of Hawaii, very tropical tasting with the spiced bourbon. Not on the menu but one of my favs. Ginger grant- heavy on the ginger Bonnie parker- extra citrusy, almost sour Sara Lee- so good! Very cinnamony, desserty but not as heavy as the Ella Valapaloosa- heavy on the spice, my husband loved it but I wasn't as much of a fan

Frida Kahlo! This cocktail is a delightful masterpiece that beautifully marries the warmth of spiced bourbon with the rich, decadent flavor of 100% cocoa. Cheers!

How would you know if you've missed out on one of the best bourbons if you've never tried it? With nearly one hundred whiskey bottles at home, this is the smoothest bourbon that I've ever tasted. Aside from having an incredible straight bourbon, a top notch rye, and a special bourbon edition spiced bourbon (that's technically a liqueur), they have a great tasting room with a unique, chill ambiance. If that's not enough, you can order some outstanding hand crafted drinks. (You need to try the bourbon based Ella Brennan with flambéed bananas or Bunny Lebowski with bourbon and nitro coffee!) There aren't many places worth the drive just for the drink, but this is one. If you don't feel like that, most major Colorado liquor stores carry their product. Tip: buy it now before the secret gets out and this becomes an allocated, hard-to-find bottle.

Definitely worth the trek up north to try these powerful cocktails named after powerful women. Molly Brown Spirits does it right. Nestled in an industrial area, it's a pleasant surprise to walk into the tasting room which is like stepping into the Unsinkable Molly Brown's parlor. Friendly staff is willing to give you free 1/4 ounce pours so you can make a solid decision on your drink. Since Frida Kahlo is my spirit guide, I chose the Frida cocktail - a chocolate and chile drink with Molly Brown Spiced Bourbon. Yum. Moving on to another female icon, the RBG is their take on an old fashioned - Molly Brown Bourbon, bitters, sugar cube, and water. Each cocktail is carefully crafted and definitely worth the wait.

Such a great spot! Enjoyed conversation with the owner & fun craft cocktails and I loved the spiced bourbon!

The drinks and service were amazing. The space has old Denver elements from an old historic Denver hotel. The attention to detail is truly wonderful. Thank you for preserving our states history. Our bartender Saturday was a great and the banana drink was AMAZING! I don't think I've ever had bourbon before... and I absolutely loved everything.

I enjoyed taking a tour of the distillery and playing bingo! The tour is very in depth and the guide knows everything! Tip: when playing bingo, check the master board, to make sure you didn't miss any numbers!

Bourbonrita - a margarita, but better because it's made with bourbon! Secret menu item.

I talk about this place to everyone I meet. So much so that people think I work for them! I really should at this point. I go here as often as I can, especially for bingo on Wednesday nights or Thursday for trivia! You can sample thru their bourbons at no extra charge and then pick from their delicious cocktail menu. They are all named for women (ie the Miranda Priestly is a Manhattan and the RBG is an old fashioned). If you like margaritas, order a bourbonrita. It's on the secret menu and also known as my drink! They also have delicious cocktails on draft that are only $5 during trivia! If you are a Bloody Mary fan, you must try theirs. The Bloody Molly has been called a fav by many! The owners and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. You are guaranteed to have a good time. You are free to bring your own food in or order for delivery. They have a patio out front and plenty of parking. Great spot to host an event. See you there!

I was in here the other day because they just opened and I hate traffic. If you're a bourbon fan especially rye I'd def give them a go. They have a few draft cocktails that I liked and several craft cocktails that were pretty amazing. I'm gonna pretend there is traffic more often so I can visit these guys.

We had time to go grab a cocktail from the bar prior. Ryan was behind the bar, crafting beverages for folks. My husband chose to have a Sazerac, while I went for an espresso martini. Drinks in hand we headed back to spend time with Forrest, who took us on a brief tour of the facility. He gave us the history of how Stranahan's started. It was interesting to learn that they bottle by hand. We came to our tasting set up. At each couple there were jars with items to smell that would be aromas or tastes we would experience, like rose, leather, tobacco, and cinnamon. There were four tastes paired with caramel, cheese, chocolate and fig. Each pairing brought out different flavors in the whiskey samples. We both had a lovely time and at the end, I had my husband pick a favorite for me to get for him for his birthday. Great experience!

Her enjoyment and love of her work made the tour so much better than any tasting experience I have had. Take some cash to tip your guide at the end! The separate bar is lovely, beautifully crafted and plenty of room for friends to enjoy the full menu of spirits. Highly recommend!!

I've tried a variety of drinks here, but my favorite has got to be the Just My Luck - a fruity and light cocktail made with the Denver Dry Gin. A close second is the "Nut a day keeps the doctor away," which is made with their (delicious) almond tequila. The distillery alone is very impressive, before adding in the immaculate vibes of the space and people who fill it. Everyone who works there is happy to talk to guests about the whiskey distilling process, their go-to cocktails, and the story behind this bar. Note: They have transitioned away from the party scene MHS used to be. No more silent disco, but same spirits - just elevated. I highly reccomend checking out what they've done with the space and how they have encapsulated the amazing spirits into hand crafted cocktails that will blow your mind.

After checking in, we had time to spare, so we tried to get a bevvie. When it is this busy, it is best to go to the outdoor patio and order from the bar there. The patio is pretty spacious, with comfortable seating areas, complete with fireside cabanas, shaded patio tables (great for summer events) and cornhole (natch!) As MHS is a distillery with tasting room, the only food one will find is the random food truck or two parked at the front entrance. Restrooms are decent (open area that is accessible) but cleanliness is an afterthought here (possibly because it was busy). There is a pool table on site but I did not see any darts or Jenga games.

The distillery was mostly empty when we arrived, so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. During the hour or so we were there, the place filled up quickly. I enjoyed sitting at the bar, as the bartender was friendly. She told us about the drinks she was preparing and we watched her make each beautiful, intricate cocktails. The menu sounded amazing, and it was hard to make decisions. I ordered Running with Scissors, as the bartender told me it was her favorite cocktail. It was a vodka and gin cocktail with fruity, but not too sweet flavors. My friend ordered the Fall of Man with which was a Bourbon cocktail with fall flavors, topped with marshmallow foam. Both were amazing. Honestly, each cocktail was a work of art. The space was open and large, with sort of a gallery feel. I would have enjoyed another cocktail and some more time at this venue, but we had a lot of plans for the evening and decided to move on. Anyway, this distillery is highly recommended.

As an investor, it is now late June, and they have still failed to provide the necessary Schedule K-1 tax forms for the 2025 tax year. To make matters worse, the communication from management has been entirely unacceptable, officially advising investors to either "guess" using last year's numbers or file their taxes without the forms and pay to amend them later. Taking zero responsibility for the professional and financial headache this causes their backers is a massive red flag. If they handle their core business compliance and investor relations this poorly, it makes you seriously question their overall operational management. Great spirits mean very little if the business is run with this little accountability.
