Hidden gem with $5 for 5 liquor tastings which gives you $5 off a bottle. I could just end the review right there.... But wait, there's more. Location is hidden in an industrial park but has an adorable lush garden as you walk up and the building is gorgeous. Cocktails are $10?! The fruit whiskeys are to die for - so sweet yet 80 proof? Yes, I will take that - to the face.

Best whiskey they offer. Smooth, rye, unique, and a bit pricey, but worth it

been in Denver for a week and wanted to hit this whiskey place/distillery...It's only open on Saturdays but that will be changing according to Alex who serves behind the bar. They're known for their MD style rye whiskey and have a few flagship products available. The $20 tour is over an hour and a half so you get a lot of information and a lot of pours ! great value. MD five year aged small batch however, only a few barrels because it such a small shop so basically a single barrel ..,,little higher priced whiskey but the corn mash bill speaks to the mellowness Jeremy and Alex were great hosts .., nicer area. If you bring small kids in the tasting room is quite large it's in the middle of an industrial park but once you get behind the gates, it's a very attractive place. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere so you'll have to drive a bit if you want to hit some local restaurants in Central Park afterwards. I think you'll enjoy your visit !

My son celebrated his birthday here with friends and family, and what a great way to celebrate! The staff are so knowledgeable and also passionate about what they make. We took a tour, and the educator in me, not to mention the gin lover, learned sooo much! I 10/10 recommend the tour and of course tasting one of everything (as long as you aren't driving). My husband, also a gin lover, may have a new love, the Rye. While we couldn't afford the $250 bottle, the way it is made was fascinating, so make sure you ask about it even if you don't get a tour. The drinks were well balanced and delicious as well as having interesting flavor combinations. I personally enjoyed the jalapeno drink the best, even though it was Vodka not gin, but can I really say I like one better than the other? The space is adorable and there are tables both inside and out. We will definitely be going back and only wish they were open more often!

Y'all need to go see Jeremy! He does a fantastic tour! And go early/stay late for more tastings at the beautiful tasting room. All the guys there are knowledgeable about the products and are very helpful and friendly. Great experience!

Great place to hangout in the afternoon Outdoor space very pretty. Apparently landscaped by the father of the Leopold brothers. Also apparently helps with natural fermentation of the mash as it's right outside fermentation room The cocktails are well mixed. Not overly alcoholic and well balanced We did the tour and got to see and taste a plethora of distilled spirits. My favorite were the Maryland style rye and the bourbon Would be nice to just come for the drinks

This place is about 5 minutes from my home and I had no idea it existed until about a month ago. What a treasure! Our tour guide Geremy was awesome. He's so knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining! We learned about their unique processes and tasted 9 different products, all made in site. the facility is beautiful. The bourbon is so good. The gin might be the best gin I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try more of their seasonal batches.

Our group of 6 had so much fun on this tour and tasting event. $20 per person and you get $10 off a bottle. This would be an excellent idea for birthdays, team building, or when you are hosting out of town guests. Why had we not done this sooner? Very informative and a great way to learn about and sample spirits that you may have not enjoyed before. We left with a bottle of the Summer Gin and the Peach Whisky and plans to come back for a future cocktail class, Cheers!

Tried two of the flights: one with the vodka and whiskey and the other with liqueurs. The whiskey and liqueurs were delish and bought 5 bottles . So, essentially, highly recommend.

This was, hands down, one of the best distillery tours I have ever done. At first, the price seems a bit steep ($20), until you realize what you get for it. You get: 1. An hour and a half long tour 2. A Q&A session after your tour with a distiller 3. A bunch of samples during the tour (I think I counted 8 samples, but after awhile, I lost count, ha ha, oops) 4. A tasting glass 5. $10 off 2 bottles of booze I enjoy their spirits, although they do some fruity ones that are not my taste. But that's just personal preference. I really dig their gins, and they have an aperitivo that makes a great Negroni. The location is beautiful, with a lovely garden which would be fantastic in the summer. I like their commitment to sustainability and using environmentally-friendly distilling practices. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and cheerful. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes spirits and cocktails. It's a very fun place to take out-of-town guests.

For someone that doesn't drink a significant amount of spirits, I sure have experienced my fair share of distillery tours. Add Leopold Brothers to the list, along with Stranahans (twice), Laws, Anchor, Distillery 209, and Lost Spirits. Leopold Brothers exceeded my expectations! Going in with a bit of a hangover didn't even matter, that's how good the tour was. Highlight reel in words: + Beautiful site to visit, even in the winter. It's in an industrial park, but there's nothing industrial about the tasting room. Also, there's pretty gardens in the warmer months, which they grow to use in their products. + Informative tour, whether you're a novice to the distilling process or have seen this before. The Leopold way of open fermentation was new to me, as were the different kind of stills (three chamber what?!) and adding fruit to whiskey. + So many tastings! With the aforesaid hangover, I didn't really go for gold, sniffing and dumping mostly instead of swallowing, but the products I tried were all interesting: vodka (really, really clean), Cherry liqueur, bourbon, and Three Pine Alpine were some of the highlights. + A portion of the tour fee goes back to local charities. The 90-minutes flew by with our guide Matt. He'd been part of the company for less than a year, but it felt like he'd been a friend with the real brothers and team for much longer. Whether you're a Denver local or entertaining out of town guests, this is a fun foray into Colorado spirits.

My wife and I attended a cocktail making class for Valentine's Day. An excellent espresso martini and charcuterie table greeted us and about twenty other cocktail enthusiasts l. A short tour of the distillery followed, then it was time to learn to make some cocktails. All tools, gadgets and potions are provided, which I liked. We made two different cocktails, and enjoyed them both. The staff was friendly and attentive, and kept things moving. Each month's class has a different theme. We will be returning for sure!

The patio is pretty spacious, with comfortable seating areas, complete with fireside cabanas, shaded patio tables (great for summer events) and cornhole (natch!) As MHS is a distillery with tasting room, the only food one will find is the random food truck or two parked at the front entrance. Restrooms are decent (open area that is accessible) but cleanliness is an afterthought here (possibly because it was busy). There is a pool table on site but I did not see any darts or Jenga games.

I've tried a variety of drinks here, but my favorite has got to be the Just My Luck - a fruity and light cocktail made with the Denver Dry Gin. A close second is the "Nut a day keeps the doctor away," which is made with their (delicious) almond tequila. The distillery alone is very impressive, before adding in the immaculate vibes of the space and people who fill it. Everyone who works there is happy to talk to guests about the whiskey distilling process, their go-to cocktails, and the story behind this bar. Note: They have transitioned away from the party scene MHS used to be. No more silent disco, but same spirits - just elevated. I highly reccomend checking out what they've done with the space and how they have encapsulated the amazing spirits into hand crafted cocktails that will blow your mind.

This space creates a magical moment for a couple's date night, girls' gathering, happy hour with your coworkers and so on. It was an occasion for me and my adult daughter just yesterday. She and I get together as a family which we traditionally do almost monthly to celebrate "us" and we were glad that we chose the Family Jones Spirit House for the very occasion as there was no element that disappointed us. Ambiance: The sleekness that is common when described as "chic", the high-end design is well-incorporated into the space throughout. Despite its way of being high-end contemporary however, the place emits a very inviting cozy feel. The whole place is enhanced by the soft lighting. Overall, the whole place has an elegant image of "cocktail lounge". Drinks and bites (on the menu): They have great ideas to concoct unique cocktails using their current lineup of whiskey/bourbon/gin/vodka. We could easily go for something typical such as wine but we were like "Why would we want to do that at a place like Family Jones?" We started out with one of the Espresso Martinis (Cinnamon Bun) and Early Grey Negroni. After a good few to several bites (House Salad which was a good portion; simple and yet refreshing, Spicy Herb & Cheese; its spiciness was well-manageable, Antipasto Plate was also generously portioned with healthy choices), we concluded our night by another drink, which was Lohi Rising (absolutely an excellently made cocktail out of the whole menu). Most of the items we ordered were discounted by $1 or $2 due to the fact that we were able to order in before the Happy Hour end time of 6pm. Even with the regular pricings, however, the menu items are reasonably priced. I forgot our waitstaff's name but she was able to assist us with great suggestions when we asked her which ones to order especially the drinks. She was the only person who was mostly walking around the whole dining area (the other staff was mainly in charge of the bar but he once came out and asked me if I needed anything before my daughter's arrival.) Not to mention: the hardworking kitchen staff who prepared our dishes should not be forgotten for all the amazing chef skills. Denver's LoHi neighborhood hosts a good number of contemporary restaurants. Other big names might overshadow this cocktail lounge/restaurant but despite the overwhelming elements, Family Jones Spirits House's position to quietly serve as a humble restaurant is worth a mention. So if you are looking for a special place for a special occasion, go here. You will be pleasantly surprised with what they offer you.

The Salt & Vinegar Martini was also memorable and came with a pickled potato that made it even more fun. The Alpine Glow was lighter and refreshing with hibiscus and citrus. We also ordered some food to go with the drinks. The grilled cheese with soup and the pretzel bites were perfect for a cold winter day and paired nicely with the cocktails.
