Always big a fan of MOD. My girlfriend is vegan and they do a good job accommodating for her, vegan cheese etc. and I eat meat like mad so it's nice to have a place that we can both be happy. Ordered online, the order got lost in the mix of customers so they didn't have our pizzas when we showed up which was a bummer. MOD Pizza is known as "fast food pizza" right? Well, sometimes, that can have a negative affect on the customer. My experience with MOD has always been decent, besides the forty minute wait that usually occurs there when ordering one pizza; Yet, my family members have always disliked the place, due to how they have gotten food poisoning from MOD's "fast" pizzas. Yesterday was an average day, and my Mom ordered my pizza, since they require credit cards to make pick up orders now. She reported that there were tons of pizzas on the counter, and that the people working that station just stuffed them in and pulled them out, not giving the pizzas amble time to cook. When my pizza was delivered, I noticed that the chicken was undercooked and that the food was cold, but we were already at home. Right after I finished, I went to the restroom... FOUR times throughout the night. I had food poisoning, so this is a warning to all you who might be thinking about getting one of Mod's "fast" pizzas; you might regret it after. read more

Well, our favorite Burmese food restaurant was closed today so we thought we'd try this new place! Mod Pizza took over Pasta Pomodoro location and we hadn't had the chance to check it out! We found out that it's a build your own pizza place. I like the fact that they have skinny crust and you can put as many toppings as you want. We got the Mod pizza (medium size) two orders. I had red sauce on mine and had spinach, pepperoni, bacon, artichoke, tomatoes and bell peppers on mine, my hubby had mostly meat on his and we both really enjoyed our pizzas! For $22 we had personalized pizzas and we had blackberry lemonade, refillable. We will definitely be back but will not come on Friday or weekends because they get so packed we would have to take our food to go! Service was fast, courteous and we had Miguel who came around to check if everything was good and we were really impressed by the friendly and helpful staff! We will be back really soon! read more

One of the best experiences I had with this type of restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and told about this location. After I explained that this was our first time and needed help on how to order, we were walked through the process without any grief or inpatients. I want Pieology...the hubby says "lets try Mod cause its closer and its the same thing." We learned the hard way that it is not! It's Friday night,like 6:15, we waited for almost an hour and a half for pizza! 45 minutes standing in line. We seriously could have driven to Pieology in Fairfield, ordered and ate in the time it took them to even take our orders! Friday night and there's only one employee working both the register and oven. EWWW, touching money and pizza with bare hands,YAY! One employee is running around like crazy cleaning tables, making crusts and directing the two other seemingly brand new, lost in the headlights employees working the counter. They would help one person in line, then make online orders, help the line, make online orders...Each topping went on one at a time....like literally one pepper at a time!! If they moved any slower they would have been going in reverse! Super High, Super New, Super Didn't Care...I dunno? Zero organization... there should be one person making online orders, one person on crusts/ sauce/ cheese, then pass it down to another person for toppings, then pay the cashier and your pie should be fired right up (like at Pieology). Zero training...both of them had to come out from behind the counter to check the special pizza of the day sign cause neither of them knew how to make it,LOL. The pizza itself...my husband (who adores all things pizza) ate two slices of his and threw it away. I have never met a pizza he didnt like! This place needs some work, I did a online order yesterday for MOD and was told it'd be ready within a half hour and when I arrived. My order was not ready and I had to wait 15 mins, the pizzas were missing some of the toppings that I asked for and I was told that they ran out, which I think they were lying just so they could keep moving along. I don't care if this place is new or not but management needs to get control of there employees as they were completely clueless yesterday. The woman behind the counter cutting the pizzas seemed high as a kite and was all over the place not knowing what to do. Just opened here in my home town. Very disappointed. Long lines, tons of workers don't understand why the lines are so long and having to stand in a 20-30 minute line. Workers are very new and asked me to move over so they had read the toppings on pizzas. There very young and you can tell most of them, this was their first job. Price was great...for as many toppings as you want and zero extra charges. And the poor girl handing out the pizzas hollering out everyone's names, managers should get her a microphone. The taste of the pizza on the other hand was dreadful, bottom of it was very (on all three of our pizzas) burnt and our toppings dripped off as soon as you pick it up. I liked the pizza, different than any others with the cracker crust and I love the unlimited topping; however, it took an hour from the time I got in line to when I finally got my pizza. It seemed to me that each pizza took longer than it should to put together. Lots of people interrupting the pizza makers and a lot of other people just standing around. One thing I tried to do (unsuccessfully) was order a pizza for me to eat at the shop and then have a second pizza ready to take home when I was finished. They didn't seem to have a process for this and my to-go pizza was cold when I picked it up. We reheated at home but it wasn't the same. Pizza and salad were tasty but the dinning room and exterior were filthy. The over flowing garbage can at the front door was not particularly welcoming. Staff was friendly but did not know the pizzas on the menu nor did they attempt to explain the concept, or products. Maybe everyone else on the planet has been here before but it was my first experience. Second visit June 19,2018. Arrived at about 6 PM and took our place in a long line which did not seem inappropriate considering the time of day. We saw only 4 employees but it is possible there was staff in the back who did not directly service customers. The two young ladies who took our order were very pleasant although the one who was building our pizza admitted that she often had to check/ask what ingredients were required for menu items. Their work area was messy and they were out of some ingredients. We then moved in to beverages and the cashier advised me that they had had a very busy weekend and they had no beer on tap. They did have two bottled options which I did not care for. My interaction with the young man were pleasant and jovial. It had taken about 20 minutes from door to cash register, but at that point it didn't seem remarkable. My daughter and I then cleaned off a table and she sat down. I went to the drinks/condiments station to get a fork for my salad. There were none so I went back to the counter to get one. The cook yelled the request out to the rest of the staff while I stood and waited. They all proceeded with their tasks at hand (young man was prepping pizza dough) and I continued to wait. A few moments later the young man approached so I thought he was coming to assist me, but he looked me off and addressed the woman next to me. So I said, firmly, "I need a fork." He told me he would get to it and proceeded with the other customer, so I left the counter and sat down with my daughter. Shortly there after the young man came to our table to tell me that he had refilled the fork container and then told me that I should not have "copped an attitude" with him and pointed out the long line, etc, etc. I interrupted his lecture and told him I wanted my money back. He of course complied. While at the counter I attempted to engage him but he told me " you don't have to explain" and "you don't need to talk to me", both seemingly nice ways of telling me to "shut up." I appreciate the fact that these employees are not receiving the support they need from management but this guy's response to the stress of low staffing at peak time was really out of line. Neither of us used any type of inappropriate language or raised voices but man...if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. read more

This place unfortunately sucks. I've been here five times. Ordered online three times and went in and ordered on the spot twice. Every single time the pizza was made wrong. I get that this is a new location but messing up a pizza every time is ridiculous. Especially when you placed an order online. All you have to do is read what i selected to be on the pizza. The last time i ordered online i ordered a very simple pizza with white sauce, onion, tomato, pepperoni, and ranch sauce. It came with barbecue sauce as the base (literally drenched in barbecue and it was inedible), and no ranch. The time before that i ordered the same but with Asiago cheese. It came with feta. How hard is it to read. And don't even get me started on the employees. They're incredibly rude and won't even acknowledge you. I stood by the pick up area and two employees were in front of me not even giving me a glance. And i work in retail, i get it, it gets hectic sometimes but you ALWAYS acknowledge customers. Say "I'll be with you shortly". When i finally decided to speak up after waiting a good fifteen minutes, one of the employees rudely said "one moment". Still didn't even glance over at me. This place is awesome! I love their "Pizza Pie's" as they call them. I love how they let you add on a bunch of different toppings and choose a sauce of your liking. Great quick and friendly service. Although one of the workers forgot to cut our pizza. We had to hand it back to him but maybe we distracted him a bit. He was nice anyway. Worst place ever don't eat here, first they were going to put my pizza on the grill with a bunch of burnt pieces that had fallen off of other food, I asked them to clean before putting my pizza on, and then they completely burnt the bottom of my pizza and I jr to just get a refund and leave.
