I had dinner here this past Saturday with a party of 15, including 6 kids, and the place was spacious with plenty of seating available to accommodate our large group. Service was helpful and efficient at the front counter, as my family placed separate orders at the food station. My bf and I got a greek salad and a regular sized pizza - a customized mad dog with added mushrooms and jalapenos, sub alfredo sauce. The salad was filled with fresh and tasty ingredients, a great option for a healthy meal. The pizza was thin and crispy, light on the sauce but generous with the melty cheese and savory toppings, especially those jalapenos. It was delish! This pizza store is located at plaza drive with plenty of parking. The spot is somehow easy to miss, unnoticeable to me due to away from the other establishments. They have reasonable prized pizzas with great taste and quality. Wide variety of toppings you can add, unlimited with no extra price. Hello, I am just disappointed in the level of staff and customer service at this location. I enjoy the food but the experience is terrible. I have lived in Vallejo my whole life and am not one to write a review but just have to say a smile and a hello would go a long way. Time after time overall terrible service and zero people skills from the staff. Food is good for sure and I enjoy mod but the staff at Vallejo has terrible attitudes and everyone looks like they hate being there. Love the variety of pizzas offered. My favorite is the Dillon James which is their version of the Margherita pizza. I love how the pizza crust isn't too thick, just right. I've never had a bad meal at MOD Pizza. If you're in the mood for pizza, this is a place to go. You can get thick crust and put whatever you want on it. Just a warning sometimes less is more. I learned that by packing everything on a pizza and it was too much nothing stood out. So now I try to stick with a few things I like best and it's always a good pizza. I got the side salad and I got Sarah. I was kind of disappointed in that. It wasn't very big and it didn't have a lot of stuff in it. Came here last week Monday and again this Vday. As this is my second visit, here's my reasons for coming back 1- Fast, efficient and delicious with great music, can't complain. I want to steal their play list. 2- Food looks fresh and safe, the kind that won't have you either hugging or sitting on your porcelain throne for hours (if you know what I mean) 3-If you have no patience for waiting, look through their website or app and order ahead so you can just pick up. I was in here twice today. First time, I placed an order of salad and a mod No Name Chocolate cake, with a water. The young man who helped me with my order was very polite, professional and helpful! When I went back in later, to use their public bathroom, I already knew the code. The female employee , who was at the pizza oven, stoped me to ask me what I was doing. I told her I was using the bathroom. I was done rather quickly in the bathroom and sat down at the nearest table closest to the bathroom. I intended to write the c bc bathroom code, so as to have it with me whenever coming in to eat at the restaurant. What happened next was unexpected. The woman asked me what I was doing. I explained I was writing the bathroom code into my i-phone. She then told me "You can't sit at that table!" It's where we place orders to go." I replied politely "Okay, I'm leaving." Pretty sad when you only order a salad with a side cheesy garlic bread and only get the cheesy garlic bread. And the DD driver could care less that he didn't have your full meal. Called Mod Fresh's number on DD website and the girl there was also no help because I did not order via the Mod Fresh website and went thru DD she couldn't request a redelivery. She could have just re ordered and re delivered and charged me and know I would be asking DD for a refund. So no one took accountability for the mistake. Mod consistently has good service and have awesome employees Overall the staff are nice and look like they have great camaraderie. I recommend to order off the app to avoid the wait. They have different crust and  topping options. No matter how much toppings you include, it's the same price. I'm the type that gets almost everything on their pizza. The price is based on the size of pizza and type of crust. Gluten free and cauliflower crust cost more, which is an extra $2.70. When I'm hungry I get the mega dough and load it up with more protein. This location is found in the Adm Cal plaza, which used to be a pasta place. This is one of the subway style, build-your-own, pizza kind of restaurants. It took me a while to dial in my custom order. Mine is garlic rub, red sauce, mozz, bacon, ground beef, pepp, chopped garlic, cilantro (i think this was only added recently), and rosemary. Compared to my favorite chain, this differs in negative ways. Most notably, they end up a lot more greasy, and I dont like the crust that they use. The crust reminds me of those frozen pizza ones that sort of taste like crackers. The prices are also a little bit more, although it feels like there are less choices. Covid adjustments: I've been having a mixed bag of experiences when it came to delivery/pickup. Whenever I put in a mobile order, I've probably never been able to get a side of ranch, even when I noted it on the order. I was a bit confused about curbside when I ordered it once, I sat in my car for a bit, even when the order updated to "ready", so I ended up going inside anyway. Delivery is pretty nice because they put a tamper-proof sticker. This place is a-ok. Because it is the only one of its style in the area, I guess I don't have much of a choice. I came here 15 minutes to closing and two out of three employees were very nice. I can tell the cashier did not want us to stay, but the guy told us no problem stay and eat your pizza. Again we were there at closing so the drink area was not very clean and a lot of the tables needed to be wiped down. I have never been to a MOD pizza and compared to their competors, I actually like their pizza better. I like how the dough is firmer and holds it shape even though I put tons of toppings. I have frequented this location since they opened. I will say, a few of my pizzas have been great. I love the fact you get unlimited toppings all for one price. Now, the down side. A couple of times, my orders have been incorrect. My Son's cheese and olive pizza was very dry. We've received a couple pizzas that were not "complete" with the toppings (this was with their specialty pizzas). A couple of times my pizza was under cooked and soggy. And, a couple of times we've had burnt crust. Customer service is off and on. A few employees just don't want to be there. It clearly shows on their face and demeanor. Does not seem like there's enough employees. One of the Supervisors is very condescending towards the employees in front of the customers. Don't dare ask for more than 2 extra daises. You're liable to have them thrown at you. Also, wait time can be 30+ minutes in line just to order. Just recently, I submitted a complaint through the website regarding my latest order. I guess It's so hard to find people with customer skills who work in the customer service industry. First thing is I "love MODs pizza", but because the team here at Vallejo, I won't be back. After my grandsons swim lessons we decided to get a couple of pies. We wait for the person helping the two guys in front of us while we watched another guy making some online orders and a girl squeezing out some dough, while another has a cart with the sauces that she is looking at and moving them around, and of course the one cooking the pizza's. A nice full staff it looks like. So we continued to wait 7-10 minutes for him to finish making them and then ring them up. The guy then gets gloved up and say's "I'll have to wait because he needs to build some on-line orders". ADIOS Vallejo!
