This was a let down considering we used them for catering and then the promise of 1 free sandwich would not be honored. The issue is not the price of a sandwich but the lack of follow thru and the way the issue was handled. More recently I DoorDashed a Mesquite Turkey sandwich from then 30 min to closing. The sandwich was really good. TLDR: sandwiches are good, and perhaps we had a communication or customer relations issue.

I've been told this before in different purchases from this sandwich shop. But I finally asked the gentleman at the counter today about the surcharge, and he told me it was "just how the machine is." When I pulled up the information on my phone explaining that debit card surcharges generally aren't allowed, he dismissed it and said I would have to speak with the owner. When I spoke with the owner, I was hoping for a simple explanation. Instead, she became combative, brushed off my concern, and said, "Everyone around here (Benicia) does it." Which is simply not true. I wasn't trying to argue--I was simply asking about a charge that didn't seem right. The food is genuinely good, but the way my concern was handled left a bad impression. If you pay with a debit card, I'd recommend checking your receipt carefully to make sure you know exactly what you're being charged. I hope the business reviews its payment practices and takes customer concerns more seriously in the future. Before they are reported to the state's department of Justice or to the county department of weight and measures by someone for their charging practices.

They forgot drinks everywhere, the way they brought the food out completely disorganized, then they had to ask for our dessert AGAIN after the main course. Another major disappointment was the last-minute change to our seating arrangement. This was never discussed with us beforehand, despite us having reserved this event well in advance. We had carefully planned our seating based on the agreed arrangement, so separating the bride and groom from part of our wedding party was both unexpected and upsetting. I can't imagine any couple wanting to be split from their guests during such an important celebration. While the food itself was delicious, much of it arrived cold. The service throughout the evening was disorganized. The male waiter repeatedly forgot items after being asked, and my father-in-law had to request three separate times to have his bottle of wine uncorked. When it was finally opened, the wine was spilled on the table. What saddens me most is that every single person seated at our tables commented on the waitress's passive-aggressive attitude. Burger is another favorite, always cooked as requested, the meat is super flavorful and the toppings - cheese, onion, sauce, and arugula fit perfectly between the brioche bun. This is also served with fries - always served the right amount of crisp. For beers, I prefer to drink the War Bond. However, I can vouch for the fact that all of the beer here is good.
