Ceviche
Ashley C.

Came here on a Thursday night. Greeted promptly and sat immediately. Plenty of options to choose from. I went with the ceviche and the lomo saltado, both of which were recommended by our server. Highly recommend getting the ceviche; very flavorful and fresh.

This is a leche de tigre with sweet potatoes and plantain chips and toasted corn

First time here gotta say the food is on point ceviche was spicy but with a lot of flavor. The service and the atmosphere were excellent. They have a little shelf of Peruvian Products to buy from desserts and treats to condiments.

Service is good but English is definitely a second language for the staff. The food was good but nothing exceptional. We had a Peruvian beef dis and fried chicken dish along with a tropical fruit ice cream . The fried chicken was a quarter of a small chicken . Crispy but not a lot of flavor . The beef dish was quasi Asian . It was ok but nothing I would come back for . The tropical ice cream was rich and tasted like butter pecan . A nice experience but nothing exciting. I wish the restaurant well but I have no reason to ever come back

Lomo saltado a Lo Pobre, really good quality food. Loved the meat and all the vegetables that was incorporated.

A Taste of Peru That Feels Like Home From the very first bite, this restaurant transports you straight to the heart of Peru. The flavors are bold, authentic, and crafted with love by Peruvian hands that know how to honor tradition. Start with the ceviche, fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Then the iconic lomo saltado, where juicy strips of beef are sautéed to perfection with onions, tomatoes, and that unmistakable touch of soy sauce and spices. The arroz chaufa is a savory fusion masterpiece, while the tallarines saltado brings a mouthwatering twist on stir-fry pasta that's packed with flavor. Don't miss the anticuchos, tender skewers of marinated beef heart that melt in your mouth, or the golden picarones, a sweet finish made with squash and sweet potato, drizzled in chancaca syrup. Pure Peruvian joy! To wash it all down, sip on a cold Inka Kola, a tangy glass of maracuyá (passion fruit) juice, or the deep, spiced flavors of chicha morada. Each drink is a memory, a story, a sip of home. And for a truly special treat, they're bringing out the Pachamanca (tres sabores) this Father's Day, a traditional Andean feast slow-cooked underground with marinated meats, herbs, and native potatoes. It's more than a meal, it's a celebration of culture, family, and roots. You will also appreciate the warm, attentive service from the owners and chefs. Whether you're Peruvian or just discovering its rich culinary heritage, this place will have you coming back for more. ¡Buen provecho!

Plenty of dining room tables

Ambiance was very chill and low key w some Latin American music playing on the tv. Food was delicious and tasty. My sever was very attentive and patient w me. It was my first time trying and I was happy to share my photos with my family and friends. I am happy we have a Peruvian spot in Vallejo and I can try something new! I will be back. Thank you & wish you guys the best of luck! They've been open for six months now.

Tradicional Mostrito

Hidden treasure for sure, great food with large portions that always leave with 2nds for later. The service is quick and inside is very peaceful, great for family dinning.

Great place, love the enviroment. The restaurant is owned and run by a sweet little family. Their hospitality is so warming. Peruvian cuisine at its finest! I will definitely come back with my friends for next time. They even have peruvian products for sale. Inka cola was definitely a must have for me!

We were warmly greeted by Wilfredo at the front podium, who escorted us to our table. The ambiance was fantastic, and our table in the center of the restaurant gave us a great view of the lively bar area. Romeo was our server/bartender and did an excellent job answering all of our questions about the menu. With so many great options to choose from, it wasn't easy to decide! We started with the Limón Grand Cadillac and an Espresso Martini, along with the Jalea and Chicken Empanadas. Both cocktails and appetizer was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we ordered the Saltado Mar Y Tierra and the Crispy Pork Belly Chaufa. Both dishes were incredible and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying either one during your visit. Throughout our meal, both Wilfredo and Romeo checked on us regularly, making sure everything was perfect. They were friendly, professional, and took the time to share information about Limón and its offerings. To finish, Wilfredo recommended the Chocolate Bandido for dessert, and it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Overall, our first visit to Limón exceeded our expectations. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and exceptional service made for a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back! A special thank you to Wilfredo and Romeo for your professionalism, hospitality, and outstanding service. You made our first visit one to remember!

Theres hiking trails or places where we go to get to the Ocean. In order to go to them, we have to drive through Novato to get there. But whenever we are out in Marin, we usually just defeat to eating a Sol Food(If you know you know...). Recently we wanted to try something different. Ayawaska is about the experience. A very bold name but from the moment you walk in, to the moment you start eating your food you will quickly understand why they chose that name. All the workers are professional but also very friendly. Their cocktails are all delicious. Theres something about taking a sip and peering out the windows and seeing the view. For a minute it really feels like we are in another world. They really chose such a cool location for a restaurant. For food, I saw the Paella adjacent dish on the menu and I immediately knew what I was ordering. Arroz con Mariscos. We did order some Empanadas. I hate mushrooms but I had a bite of the Empanada Veggie. It's all mushrooms dude...alllll mushrooms...but it was good. My favorite was the Empanada de Lomo. But both Empanadas were delicious. They had a nice flaky crust but had really generous fillings. The flavors were so dang good. But with the Arroz con Mariscos I loved all the fixings it came with and how it was decorated. All kinds of onions and bell peppers everywhere. The rice itself wasn't overcooked or undercooked. And most of all there were giant shrimps along with calamari and clams. Altogether this was a symphony of Seafood and rice. This probably could be shared between two people. Unless you are just really hungry. So long story short, I highly recommend this place. Sometimes you go to fancy places like this and they got the nice decor. Sure. They got a nice view. Cool. But at the end of the day, the meal and the overall experience is what matters right? Ayawaska is the full package. If you live in the area and haven't tried this place yet, you are definitely missing out.

Nice tables and silverware and plates. They have a good sized menu. Food was the surprise. I expected it to be different but it was quite tasty. We shared the empanadas 1 each - beef, chicken, pork. We also had the sweet plantains and the mango habanero ceviche. The empanadas were a little on the small side but they were delicious. The mango habanero ceviche was really just cooked shrimp with a mango habanero sauce and pickled red onions. There was also a dried plantain chip on top. Though I was expecting a more traditional ceviche, it was really tasty. The sweet plantains were excellent, just what you expect with more onions and a sour cream type sauce. The service was quick but not intrusive. Would definitely come back.

Being a pescatarian, I am sadly not able to eat at most soul food places unless they have seafood options, which many don't. Urban Fusions even has vegan collard greens on their menu! I was expecting the place to have the traditional greasy spoon diner feel that a lot of soul food places have. Instead this place had more of a artsy urban feel to it, which I loved. My son got the fried okra and the southern 3-way plate with the fried chicken, fish, jumbo shrimp and fries, with Mac n cheese for the side. He loved it and of course couldn't finish it all, so he saved it for later. His friend had the sticky ribs and fries, which he said were amazing. I ordered the fried basa with vegan collard greens and of course fried okra, which my son and I order any time we see it on a menu. The fish was PERFECTION. It was seasoned just right and fried to the point of being crunchy but not at all greasy. The okra was flavorful and not too salty the way it can be at some places. I tasted the mac and cheese and really liked that it was seasoned with a touch of garlic. Yum. Our server Lyla was sweet and attentive. Be sure to tip her well when you come to this place. None of us could finish all of our food and had to take the remainder to go. We all left feeling super full and happy. All three of us slept like logs. Urban Fusions is a must-return spot for sure!

Despite having TVs visible in the restaurant, Parada Walnut Creek does not show live sports at all. If you come in hoping to enjoy a game while eating or having drinks, don't bother. The TVs are either off or showing non sports programming, even during major sporting events. This is especially disappointing considering the bar seating and layout suggest that watching a game would be an option. What makes this worse is that the Lafayette location (Barranco) DOES show sports on their TVs, creating a confusing and inconsistent customer experience across the brand. Same ownership, similar cuisine, but completely different policies. If Lafayette can balance food and sports viewing, there's no good reason Walnut Creek can't. At a minimum, this should be clearly communicated. Instead, customers are left guessing--or worse, finding out after they've already ordered. Not everyone wants a "quiet, curated dining experience" all the time, and having TVs but refusing to use them for sports just feels out of touch. If you're looking for great Peruvian food and want to watch a game, go to Lafayette. If you're at Parada Walnut Creek, leave your sports expectations at the door.
