We're from Sacramento and love MOD. We ended up going on the day that they happened to run out of cheese. They were nice enough to offer free pizza coupons and said the truck would be back at 4. We got there at 3 45 and waited until 4 30. Still no cheese. Plus they were out of mushrooms and diced onions. Decided to settle and get the dairy free cheese because we wanted to beat 5 o clock traffic. The wait was forever. 30 minutes to order and bake it. Received it and the crust was burnt. Ordered the Caspian pizza, it was good, crust was crunchy. I think the pizza is better than Pieology. The only thing that concerns me is the employee handling the pizza dough doesn't wear gloves, yet he kept on pulling his pants up (including underwear) with his bare hands! He also put his bare hands in his pants pocket to pull out his cellphone, used the cellphone, put the phone back in his pocket... Rung people up at the cash register with his bare hands. And never once wash his hands. The store manager definitely should be enforce better food preparation safety and better hygiene. read more

This place is only getting two stars because the staff is very nice. Walked in waited in line finally my turn after about 10 minutes. We order or pizzas and go wait at a table. My niece gets her pizza they say mine will be out shortly. I go back after 5-10 minutes because they aren't calling my number. They can't find my pizza. My paper with my name on it is still on the counter but no pizza. So they are going to rush me another one. She writes down everything I wanted and gives it to them. Takes the about 5 minutes to do it. Then they put it on another counter waiting to be put in the oven. Finally about another 10 minutes later way after my niece is done with her pizza they give me mine and it has the wrong toppings on it. They did refund me but still an hour for a small pizza to get it wrong is just horrible. read more

If you have a gluten or dairy sensitivity, don't eat here. They give zero F's about it. I have given them 3 tries and I am done with them. They act like it is a terrible inconvenience to put gloves on or remake a pizza that they got wrong. I asked 2 times to use dairy free cheese and they just kept screwing it up. My wife and I frequent this place and we love the friendly people and management of this restaurant. They always get our orders correct and listen to us when we ask for something different. The General Manager always comes by and visits with a friendly smile. Since Ashley has taken over this location it appears to have improved 100%. They were unorganized and everyone's pizza was out of order and I ended up getting mines after everyone that was behind me. Second time I've tried it. And I love it even more. I'm obsessed with the garlic strips and I live that you can create your own pizza. Also it's soooo much cheaper in comparison to what I regularly get with takeout. On top of that they even offer vegan cheese, which to me is a huge step forward. WOWTonight was my first time eating at MOD and it definitely won't be my last!! The young lady helping me was so bubbly and funny! It made my visit so much better. I asked for gluten free crust(so stoked to find out they had this option) and her concern of it being allergies or a preference was awesome!!
