I can't recommend Mod enough. Their servers are always very friendly and quick, and the lines move fast. The pizza itself is an amazing deal due to their flat rate and not charging you by the topping. Keep in mind you're ordering personal pizzas, not something to share with your whole family. The only slight negative Is that the lines can be really long sometimes, but that's a good testament to how great they are. Owner is also a great guy, came by and talked to us for a couple minutes then gave us a couple free pizza coupons and thanked us for coming in. read more

Pizza was delicious but sadly I was confronted by Tina about sitting at an unmarked table that was apparently for staff breaks and she rudely told me to get up and move. I would have had no problem is she asked politely but it was definitely not. I like mod pizza but if I am going to be treated this way here I will not come back and let everyone know of the poor customer service from I'm assuming a Manager. She also rudely told me to put my mask on while I was taking a drink. I understand the mask thing but me having it off for not even 5 seconds to take a drink. Staff was very attentive and helpful as it was my first time here. Awesome choices for toppings and the best part? THE ICE. The tiny ice cubes are the best thing in the world. We have always received stellar service at this MOD. The food is, of course, wonderful. As a vegetarian, it always impresses me when restaurants are accommodating. Wanted to give them two stars, but decided the pizza was actually pretty good, even though one of the ingredients was missing on my "dillon james" pizza:( My reason for only three stars is due to the 'ambiance' or lack thereof. Maybe good for the twenty something crowd, and that is fine, but the noise was overwhelming, not just all of the voices, but they really don't need the loud blaring music because it just puts it over the top in terms of noise which is not conducive to having a comfortable meal and enjoying conversation. Furthermore, the noise level was so extreme that it was a real challenge to make oneself heard when ordering. To sum it up, the environment was a bit on the chaotic side. Pizza was O.K. For a buffet type restaurant. The music was so loud I could not hear anyone at our table. Minimal seating for a group of over four. If you are in a hurry you may like this place. Unbelievable. No handicap access if one cannot negotiate a curb. We wanted to go here for lunch today and immediately noticed no close handicap parking. Okay found a spot not too far. Got out in walker and discovered couldn't access because of curb (which I am unable to go up). Cannot believe no ramps close by. Management please pay attention to the ADA Update. I was truly impressed the owner contacted me to better understand and rectify situation. And he provide options for access. Something is drastically wrong here. Are all the 5 star reviews from employees? Same theme, same words, same bologna. And EVERY out-of-town'r thinks this place stinks. Pizza version of Chipotle. The other reviews describe the food quality. This place will do well as Redding supports chain restaurants with all the travelers stopping in. The ambiance here is so awful it's comical. The music is playing so loud that the employees can't hear what people are ordering. The company schtick must include a requirement to randomly yell hello at people coming in which creates the appearance of insanity since there are so many employees behind the counter and they don't really make eye contact with any specific people as they yell hello. The one cash register can't keep up with the line. Our pizza was ready before we had paid and the guy calling names (which nobody could hear over the loud music) paraded our pizza around for 5 minutes while we tried to check out. We were over charged and the employee and manager couldn't figure out how to fix it. It just took forever. The manager was very kind about it and comped our pizza which was classy. I'm not sure the 40 people in line behind us felt about it. I may try it again after they have been open awhile to see if they've found their sea legs, but I'm in no hurry. read more

This was my husband and my first time there and we could not have been more impressed! The employees greeted us as we came in the door. They explained how it worked and offered suggestions. The place was very clean and a really fun atmosphere! I met the manager on our way out and told him he had a really great staff and he agreed, said yes he does! He introduced himself and shook my hand. How refreshing to see a proud manager. I should mention that I over heard a snippet of a conversation he was having with an employee and was impressed by his tone and positive encouragement he was giving her. Wow. I will never step foot in there again. You get yelled at by all 30 employees as soon as you step foot through the door; the music is WAY WAY too loud; no one can hear you order over the too loud music; there are too many employees working so your order gets lost in the mix; and finally when your order is ready they yell at you again but when you don't hear it over the WAY WAY too loud music, they yell at you in an increasingly obnoxious manner. The food came out fast but it was like cafeteria food--a super this crust with whatever toppings. I hated this place with every fiber of my being. There is nothing I hate more than being yelled at. If you like being yelled at, maybe you would like this place. Personally, I found it both obnoxious and infuriating. Go to Cinder's if you want good service, good atmosphere and good pizza at a good price. read more

This restaurant was unique and different for redding. I really like the place. However, i do NOT like the general chaotic atmosphere. The music was WAY too loud both times i came into the establishment. I had to almost yell to chat with my girlfriend over a meal. On top of the music, the kitchen was terribly loud and in my honest opinion a bit over staffed. I think the pizza making process could have gone faster. I did like the layout and design of the place. All to say i think Mod Pizza has a lot more potential and is fully capable of doing so. But first, turn down that damm music. read more

I tried this new pizza place after my girlfriend raved about it. We have very different tastes unfortunately. I was immediately leary of a pizza place that doesn't smell like good pizza. Then I saw the crust, I was highly skeptical before it even went in the oven. It is much too thin and has a Tony's (freezer pizza) look to it. The pizza builders skimp on the toppings and the cheese resembles winco bagged mozzarella. When the pizza emerged from the oven my fears were realized. The crust was falling apart and had a cardboard texture to it. The pizza was altogether bland and undersauced. The chorizo on my pizza tasted like quality and the bread sticks and salad were decent, although they forgot my sauce. I haven't been to mini maxwell's yet but do yourself a favor and go next door. My guess is that the pizza there is much better. Will not be returning to MOD. read more

Wow I actually really liked this place it was a bit noisy and my original thought was that it was more of a cool hang out spot for the younger crowd however the customer service was awesome and the food was terrific. We like this place. Shout out to Kassidy for always being on top of things. Once again this can be a hit or miss place. Avoid around dinner time and Friday nights. Lines can be out the door. They may mistake orders but they will gladly fix them promptly. It is a bit loud inside but what place isn't loud during dinner hour, so listen closely for your order and speak up when ordering. THEY HAVE THE GOOD ICE. I REPEAT THEY HAVE THE GOOD ICE. and really good iced teas in unique flavors. Great place for lunch.
