I have been here several times and would give 5 stars except for the fact that on two occasions, my friend and I were served pizzas which were undercooked. This ruined it for me as I had to take them home and finish cooking them on both occasions. What a pain! Hopefully MOD will figure this out. This is a great place for a quick pizza trip. I like that you can have as many toppings as you want. The ingredients were super fresh. I'm not a huge fan of thin crust, but the crust was very tasty and not too crispy. I really enjoyed the pizza and will come back again. The staff was were very helpful and happy. The downsides were A) the women's bathroom stall is so small. I'm not a large person at all and could barely squeeze in. B) the music was a tad bit loud. MOD pizza is delicious! My pizza is always just right and the thin crust is just what I like. The mini size is perfect for one sitting, but the MOD size means leftovers, so you can't lose. I particularly recommend trying chick peas and the roasted asparagus on your pie. Wash it all down with a cup filled with pellet ice and their lemonade that's not too sweet and not too tart. read more

I generally enjoy Mod as far as the atmosphere and great food goes but there is one employee in particular who has consistently made my visits unpleasant. The blonde girl with braces (worked night shift last night around 8 making pizzas as well as expediting, I didn't ask her name) has never given us any form of good customer service at all. There's been at least 4 instances I can name off hand that she's been rude to me or the people with me as well as just given us poor quality product. I really like Mod, but with an employee at her level of unprofessionalism it's really starting to turn me off from going there, I really hope something is done about her overall work ethic soon. read more

Great place to eat and have a great time with friends. Great atmosphere, and wonderful pizza. It's a pizza joint so people who are complaining about the music on here must be up tight and used to fine dining at the Sheraton. Manager was super wonderful and helped me to the lemonade WHICH IS AMAZING!! Great customer service, people also complaining about being "yelled" at when you walk in through the door are also used to Outback Steakhouse where everything is gloomy and quiet like a Tim burton film. If you are a fan of excellent pizza, Redding isn't the place for you. MOD is doing a good job. It is loud, but they work to deliver the best possible product. It is definitely Chipotle's version of pizza and will probably do pretty well. The staff is the difference...crazy energy. Food was decent (but some of the better pizza in Redding), drinks were creative and the wait times are as long as it take to cook a pizza. I'll definitely be back. read more

If you're in a hurry this place is not the way to go it literally took 20 minutes to make my food and there was only me and this other couple in the restaurant in line. How is it that there is a million workers here and it still takes that long to get your food ordered along with waiting for it to cook. The food is great but the overall service is crappy. We are travelling through Redding and based on reviews we figured Mod Pizza would be a good choice for dinner. We ordered on line and the pie was ready when we picked it up. Beyond that, there isn't much positive we can say about it. Dough was essentially raw. The toppings slid off when you tried to pick it up. The person who cut the pie didn't cut it through to the bottom so along with sliding toppings, you had to tear and I mean tear the pieces apart. Next time we are in town we'll pass on Mod Pizza. read more

Oh MOD, how I love you. I've only just discovered you and I've seen you twice this week already. It's like the Chipotle of the pizza world. Choose your crust size, and it's the same price no matter what toppings you get. Great selection of toppings--meat, veggies, cheeses. My plan is to try a new creation every visit. I am so surprised at how FAST they are. This is due to their extremely thin crust and hot brick oven! This crust is my favorite (thin and crispy!) and you don't feel disgusting after you eat it. They even offer a Gluten Free option for $2 more. I haven't found a crust like it in Redding yet. You'll probably learn my name, MOD staff, because I don't think I can get enough. If I'm being honest, this place is a joke. From the GM (who ive heard about through multiple people) right down to the group of misfit employees. I've been iffy about this place the past few (very few) times ive gone. The pizza is like McDonald's quality to be totally honest. My kiddo loved the fact she could choose what she wanted from all the usual and also healthy ingredients, and she likes flat pizza. So, all in all it was positive. However, I'm new to the assembly line pizza thing, so I wasn't so much of a fan. I'm a Chicago pizza kind of gal, you know, deep dish cooked to a perfect bubbly pie in a pan, each slice needing a real ceramic plate for support on a candle lit red checkered tablecloth table. But, to each his own, right? The service was great, everyone was super attentive and explained the assembly process. It was busy, so it took about 35 minutes to order and get out the door with our two to go pizzas. I know my kiddo would go back for more. L O VE this place and so does my whole family, especially my dad. He gets a gift card here for Christmas every year. They're super fast and nice and everyone seems to be well trained and capable of doing their job. They're always super busy but the line goes by fast and is say once you make up your pizza, you only have a 5-10 minute wait for it to be done. They have a super yummy lemonade that's homemade and you can only find it there, it's the best! Would highly recommend. read more

I have been here twice. I got the same pizza both times. The number 2 it's the equivalent of a meat lovers pizza. First time I got the traditional "MOD size" it was delicious. Second time I got the Mega and the pizza was undercooked. I gave them 4 stars because they do make a great pizza...just undercooked it once. The staff here is so friendly and we can build our own pizza's just the way we want making them very plan friendly. The service was okay. They put small amount of cheese and veggies choices which made me feel like they should put more since i am vegetarian. The music was too loud and keep saying hello every time someone walks in. It's just rude while i am telling them what to order and have to keep repeating over the music. I have never tried this chain before. There were 3 of us in our group with very different tastes. I liked the way we could each get our own pizza with our own toppings. I love mod pizza, but the one I love is in san Jose. Rhis one isn't close. The one in san Jose, if I wanted extra something and not something else that's fine they made it how you wanted. Here they don't work with you. If I asked for every item one by one, all of them, then I would have this huge pizza but all I want is extra on certain Items to make it how I want it. They are just to restraining at this location. I have heard the same thing from other friends. They pass you off and say they will add more at the end. So I pass up stuff because I want it built my way and they screw it up. Owners need a trip to san jose store and see how to run the place. My whole family loves MOD. It's our go to place if we want fast delicious food. It's got a nice little outside eating space.

This place is such a mad house, no body there has any idea what the heck is going on, the are all making pizzas and running in circles like chickens with there heads cut off. We ordered four pizzas two of them were mini pepperoni pizza, and cheese the other a mini with a couple toppings, the fourth was choose your own, and it wasn't anything overly difficult. We all got our pizza with in 15mins, but the fourth was lost remade, and remade again , each time wrong. My advise for this place is.. Great concept very new and fun, butt and that's a big butt, get you staff together , you have a ton of employees but none of them know what's going on. Please train your mates. so the pizza is ok. most of the time they are fast. this place just opened so there is a ton of people here prime lunch and dinner times so expect to wait in line if you have to eat then. Mod Pizza is the bangiest pizza for your buck this side of the Mississippi. Their 11" option is only $7.87, and that's not even the best part: your pizza is completely customizable to order. It's like a subway-style set-up with the toppings options right there and you can choose any and all that your little heart desires. Then they bake it for you in an extra hot oven and BAM. Mod pizza is a chain, they're generally pretty good and this location is no different. The price is great at $7.xx for the mod size pizza that's about 11". You can pick from a suggested toppings or make your own. I always make my own and suggest the BBQ sauce for the base. I also really like that this location has the Marion blackberry lemonade and highly recommend it. The only downside is currently the wait. The line was out the door and was around 15-20 minutes to place our order. read more

Best pizza in Redding! If you don't like this place it's probably because you aren't fun and hate pizza. One permapissed girl who works at the beginning, other than that, everything is amazing! Most of the workers are happy and friendly. They let you put whatever and however much on your pizza without charge. You can ask for more of anything, they can't get away with cheese skimping! MOD is my second favorite pizza spot. I enjoy coming in and being greeted immediately. It is filled with multiple personalities when creating my own mega. I like that this establishment isn't stingy with their toppings. Karen listened to how much meat I wanted so I can tell that they make sure everyone is satisfied. MOD serves beer which is an automatic plus. I hardly drink soda but the fact that they have the little rabbit turd ice IS MY FAVORITE!! One thing I would change/add is bigger size container for ranch because it hardly gets filled and I ask for about four which makes me feel bad. They have outside seating. There is nothing like this in Redding so those who don't get out much probably aren't used to "hip/cool" places like this with cheerful greeters and loud music. read more
