We came in Saturday after a karate tournament and ordered a bunch of pizzas for our hungry group. We had 2 basic pizzas, pepperoni and a pepperoni, sausage and bacon pizza for the kids. One star is too good for my experience with Ultimate Pizza tonight. We have been ordering pizzas from Ultimate Pizza for a long time. This was a first for me. Pizza is no longer a cheap lunch or dinner as we all know. We ordered through Grubhub for delivery. Our order is ALWAYS The Mediteranean but tonight we received a very bland cheese and mushroom pizza. No problem, I'll just call and get it taken care of. Boy was I wrong, I was told to call their manager on Monday. Uh what about dinner tonight? After arguing about the right thing to do she told me to contact Grubhub for a refund. I didn't want a refund.....I wanted a correct pizza, that's when she hung up on me. I honestly couldn't believe she did that. After I calmed myself I called Grubhub and chatted online with a very nice person who assured me that we would be refunded and vowed to never let this happen again. Ordered a Calzone, antipasto salad and dessert. Because we are in a hotel, I specifically put a note that I needed plates and utensils (for 3 people). Well, the food was delivered, driver disappeared, and no plates or utensils. Eating antipasto with my fingers wasn't a great experience for one person, let alone 3 sharing. I don't know what happened to this place, I'm sure as others have said it's under new ownership. The last few times we ordered from here, there have been less toppings, less sauce, they charge much more for the pizza now and they're charging for ranch to dip it in. We used to order the two 2-topping large pizzas for $30 ish, out the door with tax and tip was less than $40. Last order was a large and a medium because they don't have that coupon anymore, and it was $50! Also one of the last orders, I referred to one of the pizzas as the Wolf Pack Snack (it's still only two toppings - chicken and bacon). The owners wife didn't know which pizza i was referring to... I had to go on the website, to find it, and tell her this is how it's listed on the website. That was a clue to me that ownership has changed and seeing another review here just cemented that in my mind. When I asked her on the phone if they were new owners, she said no. I don't appreciate deceit. We are never ordering from here again. So disappointing. :( read more

Delicious. I just moved here so I am at the mercy of reviews and my own intuition for eats. This pizza does not disappoint. It's excellent. The crust is a good thickness without being too doughy. The topping choice is thoughtfully curated and with great premium options. The red sauce is nicely seasoned. I'm not a fan of white sauce, but theirs is damn good. The house combos are enticing and imaginative. They also have a generous create-your-own option. I've seen in-house specials that are reasonably priced and with nice extras. I have only had the pizza delivered. Once I did it through a food delivery app, the other directly with the restaurant. DELIVERY IS PRICEY. I ordered a combo pizza (XL) at approximately $30. I got cheese bread and an anti-pasta salad. The total was $79. That's right, SEVENTY-NINE dollars. Yikes. I'm still a fan. I'll eat here again and I'll even have it delivered. A very decent pizza place in a lonely and empty part of the town. If not for the Yelp reviews, I wouldn't have known about this place. The place itself has a 60s rock band theme. There's an Elvis Pesto pizza, a Sergeant Pepper's pizza, and their kitchen is named "Abbey Road". Pretty cute, right? Their pizza is thick crust style, and the ingredients on it are delicious. I wasn't that into the chicken fingers, but the pizza was definitely worth it. Stop by here if you're in town, and grab a pizza and beer! Well, the name fits this place well, the pizza was ultimate. We ordered The Ultimate minus onions. The pizza had great flavor, the sauce was excellent, the veggies were fresh, and the meats were full flavored. Crust was cooked to perfection. Okay, so I'm not sure if I'm even supposed to review this place, because I'm related to the guys who own it (one by blood, the other by marriage), but that is not the reason that I've given Redding's Ultimate Pizza 4 stars. It's actually really freakin' good. The guys who own this shop also own the Shasta Pizza Co. in Anderson, but this is a much smaller, more intimate shop with a really different feel. It's hard to pin down exactly what they're going for with the records and album covers all over the walls, but it's actually cool and kitschy--and makes a small-looking place in a really unimpressive stripmall memorable. As does the pizza. I'm not going to bullshit and say that this is the BEST pizza I've ever had, but I WILL say, for a fact, that the owners have been making pizza for many years and have it down to a science--and since one or both of them is pretty much always at the shop, you don't run much of a risk of having some poorly made soggy flatbread abomination when you've been virtually promised Redding's ULTIMATE pizza. The cheese bread is phenomenal and is really all you need, but their pizza is really tasty, too. Whether you're a carnivore (unlike me), a white sauce lover (again, unlike me) or a fan of excessive amounts of marinara, the people at Redding's Ultimate Pizza won't judge you. They'll make what you like. The crust is good, the ingredients are fresh, and the marinara is tasty. They offer sodas as well as white and red wine (Chardonnay and Merlot, I believe), and have about 6 beers on tap--including Downtown Brown and Fat Tire. Even if the pizza weren't as good as it is, I think they'd deserve 4 stars for having those 2 beers available--and at a reasonable price. There's also TV, so if you want to watch a sporting event while eating your pizza and drinking your frosty, delicious pint of Downtown Brown, you can easily do that here. And I feel safe in saying that the television will always be tuned to some sporting event. So, I implore you, if you're in Redding and craving pizza and a beer or two, roll over to Redding's Ultimate Pizza. Give my fambly some lovins! It's better than the pizza alternatives. read more

We have no complaints! We love supporting a family business like Reddings Ultimate Pizza! Their pizzas are always hot and the toppings are always fresh! We've never eaten inside but when we've picked up our pizza the restaurant is very clean and staff is very friendly! One day I had my baby and 4 year old with me and after I paid they helped me by bringing the pizza and soda to my car. That's not service you'd get at a big chain pizza place.
