Visiting the area and decided to stop by! Food - ordered a cinder supreme and a honey bear. Both had a good amount of toppings, tasted fresh, the crust was a bit on the softer side or burnt in places so a more even cooking would've been better. Service - we waited over 25 mins for our 2 pizzas. There was no line to order, a few families waiting. The staff behind the counter seemed to be having fun and being silly, which hey sure if the restaurant is empty, but I'm sure that didn't help our long wait. Not cool! It is located in the Redding public Marketplace area so parking was a little challenging. We were able to get a parking and rush to get our order. We saw that it is a small place connected with an ice cream shop which was kinda cool. The order was ready when we got there and it was all correct. We got the bacon n Brie pizza, the BBQ chicken pizza, honey bear pizza, pepperoni pizza, and a small harvest salad. The salad was a good size for small. The pepperoni had some kick to it which was a pleasant surprise. Really good flavor. The BBQ chicken also had good flavor. The honey bear pizza was okay. It had some flavor but only where the toppings were. The bacon n Brie pizza was hard and didn't have as much glaze as I thought it would have. The crust is thin but good. The pizza that I ordered was not good at all. I got the bacon and Brie pizza. It was some of the thinnest slices of pizza I have ever had which I was not prepared for . My pizza along with my families pizza was burnt on the bottoms so that burnt flavor did not mix well with the flavors of the pizza. I really want to give one star, but the crust was good enough and the family all choked it down. The crust is so thin though, it makes the slices even more meager. Not much sauce, not much flavor. The toppings didn't seem fresh or well cooked. There was a gross flavor in a few spots that almost made me spit it out and made me think it might give us food poisoining, like they put the pineapple in a container that had had meat in it before and hadn't washed it, like a raw meat taste. I know that sounds paranoid, but that's the only way I can describe it. Once I tasted that, I had to fear-factor it down. Since we don't eat meat or dairy, we ordered the vegan cheese, but they said they don't have any because it had all gone bad... I wish they had just said they were out; it made me picture them just letting ingredients go bad and that wasn't an appetizing thought. We can deal with no vegan cheese and have had plenty of great pizza with just sauce and toppings, but this was not it. Vegan friends, I'd definitely head somewhere else. read more

Amidst the trendy Market Square in downtown Redding sits a combo Pizza and Creamery. After looking at the menu and seeing that wood roasting I had to give it a shot. Full disclosure, I had pizza the night before...that's how good it looked. Kinda interesting that the ordering booth is its own little island away from the pizza crafting. The menu has a mix of traditional and exciting combinations. I'm pretty big on that hot honey drizzle after having it in NYC this summer. I was directed to the BBQ Chicken by a very helpful staff member. Pizza comes in one size only and I could only eat half of mine. Not big enough for two and a little large for one. I guess if you got one with fewer toppings it would be perfect for a solo devouring session. I got my pizza in about 15 minutes as foretold by the kitchen staff. I was surprised to see the pizza so loaded down with topping...usually pizzas seem to have a light sprinkle of the toppings you ordered just to check the box, this place is aiming at FLAVOR! The pizza is cut in little triangles that are too narrow to fold and not stiff enough to hold the toppings. I just plowed it into my face hole and pinched the droppings that fell off like a claw crane. BBQ chicken is simply loaded with flavor and that hot honey really hits. I'd probably remove the pineapple next time since the honey is already sweet but man do I want to create my own combination with that hot honey next time. So tasty. I think the pizza here is very good and overall better than Fritelli's with the exception of the crust. Cinders simply has amazing flavor combinations that you need to come try. Cinders is our go-to spot, my wife and I absolutely love it. Last night, after a long workweek, we were too tired to cook, so we treated ourselves to some Cinders via DoorDash. Her Margherita pizza was perfect, just as expected. Unfortunately, my cheese and olive pizza was scorched on the bottom, the crust was blackened and brittle, it had been left in the oven too long (my wife's pizza did not have any charring underneath). It had that bitter, charred taste that overpowered everything else. DoorDash refunded part of it, which I appreciated, but I didn't feel like placing another order and paying DD fees again. The prices may look great, but know they only have single pizzas, one for each person and their salads are lacking. But overall, we were very pleased with the service and the pizza. We had the bacon and brie which comes with garlic extra virgin olive oil, brie cheese, bacon, kalamata olives, roasted garlic cloves, black pepper and balsamic glaze. We also enjoyed their pizza with truffles, which comes with garlic alfredo sauce, fresh mozzarella, black truffle oil-tossed mushrooms, roasted garlic, green onion, black pepper and not close to enough parmesan cheese. The place itself has less ambience than a McDonald's but better pizza than Domino's. The atmosphere is most like a high school cafeteria. I had the happy hour Margherita pizza and a Coke. The crust was good but the topping had a slightly tart taste that I suspect came from the sauce. Somehow the cheese and sauce were slightly dry, probably from being overcooked in the oven, though the crust had the right texture. The pizza itself is small (less than 10") and would be overpriced were it not for the happy hour deal of $6 which is still pricey for a pie that misses the mark. read more

Always a fan of wood fired pizzas - had high hopes for this place and received delivery when we were traveling through Redding. All of their pizzas are personal sized 10" diameter, so be aware that the prices listed and the toppings/sizes are very small. Between 4 of us, we cleared out 3 pizzas and a side salad, and probably could've had more. Toppings are decent and tasty, but nothing that is out of the norm. Thin crust, and overall felt a bit underwhelming/lacking in ingredients. Salad was routine/standard caesar w/ dressings/croutons. Prices were a bit on the higher side for what we were expecting - typically for this cost we'd hope for a little more toppings, nicer ingredients, or a bit more pizza for the buck. read more
