I had just recently discoverd this pizza chain that specializes in Indian style pizza. I was at the Folsom location and got a half baked deep dish (pan crust), but it wasn't Indian style. So, I discover I have a Pizza Twist location in Redding, just 30 minutes from Red Bluff ... since there's not much in Red Bluff after you've been to most places. I decided to go for the Indian style Tandoori chicken pizza, since I love tandoori chicken at the Indian lunch buffets. If offered deep dish, I'll always go for that. They call it pan crust here. The pizza came out good, maybe I thought there could have been deeper toppings to match the height of the crust, but it was still good. I guess if they topped up the toppings, the price would be a lot higher. THe tandoori flavor came through and was a nice differnt flavor of pizza other than the normal meat lover of pepperoni pizza. We've ordered from them before and their mild was pretty spicy, so we got the mild again and it wasn't really spicy at all?? Had we known they would tone it down (which isn't a bad thing!!), we would have gotten the spicy. Basically buffalo style wings but made with Acahari, a curry type sauce that is slightly spicy (not too much) with a mild curry flavor. Delicious. My sister and I were visiting from out of town and wanted to order in on Sunday evening. Ordering online wasn't the easiest so I called it in, the employee that answered the phone was nice enough. Pizza was delivered in about 40-45 minutes after we were quoted 30. Delivery man was polite & friendly. There wasn't an option to tip on the printed receipt (no printed receipt was available for using a card over the phone) but luckily we had enough cash on hand to make sure he was tipped well. We ordered a large two topping pizza, two Caesar salads, and two sides of ranch. They forgot the Caesar salad dressing so I ended up using the ranch sides, that we had paid extra for on the salad. The salad itself tasted a little bitter and the croutons were spongey. The pizza was gross. There's really no way to be nice about it. It was just gross. The ingredients didn't come across as good quality, maybe frozen or just low grade?The crust was also spongey, not crunchy, no flavor, no seasoning. I really wanted to support a locally owned business that delivered and was open past 7pm, but I would have rather not had pizza and salad than pay for $50+ tip for what I received. We ordered a vegan tikka masala pizza, a build your own, and a spicy potato bread twist/paratha bread. The vegan cheese/chicken they use is delicious and the veggies were plentiful. We absolutely loved the tikka masala pizza. 10/10. The build your own was really good as well, I ordered it with the creamy garlic sauce as the base and then lots of veggies. We really liked the crust, not too thick or thin, and had a nice crisp to it. You can order it extra crispy if you want to. We loved the paratha bread, it was like a samosa in pizza crust They have pasta, salads, wings, fries, pakora, samosas, pizzas galore, and great for all dietary restrictions. I thought the prices were good too, $15 for a unique medium pizza and the build your own was that price as well for unlimited toppings. They had lots of coupons online for cheaper bundles, like getting a 2 topping pizza for the kids etc. at a discounted price.
