I thought I already wrote a review but I guess my memory failed me. I really enjoy the mochi doughnuts here and I do like how their menu is rotated so you can always try a new flavor. Check out their IG for the menu that day. My favorite is the original though. Ube is a close second favorite. My boyfriend really loves original and churro as well. A part of me does wish that they served these warm, I feel like it would add to the awesome texture they have going on. Mochinut compared to your typical doughnut is more chewier and bouncy. I would say they're also not as sweet as your standard doughnut. I like it here and my boyfriend and I come here when we want a quick dessert after a meal. My sister got the brown sugar milk tea pictured and I had a small sip. It was okay... I personally wouldn't get it though. Overall a good dessert spot as they have a couple other business in the same building - which makes it a little confusing your first visit. read more

I visited New York couple months ago to visit a friend and we ended up trying a spot that served Mochi Donuts. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect. It was mind blowing good. Fast forward to now craving, another Mochi Donut back in Houston (Home Town). I had huge expectations, and this place definitely did not disappoint. We had the Churro flavor, chocolate, Ube, and original. When they're fresh out it basically melts in your mouth. Even when they're chilled it still had a nice taste to it with the light glaze. I'd definitely check this place out if you're into or wanting to try out a Mochi Donut. They have nice Korean Corn dogs too. The spicy sausage was good. Their spicy Mayo is actually cracked and the addition of spicy/hot Cheeto crust for only .50¢ extra is worth it. I'm not sure what Ube milk tea is but I'm always down to try new things. It tasted very similar to Taro. +1 The boba has a nice texture and has that solid doneness to it unlike the other kinds where it's all slimy. Overall, this place is doing it well! Only complaint is parking is somewhat limited--but if the foods good, the walk is worth and that's what this place provides. read more

An okay experience. I figured the mochinut was the star of the show but apparently not. When you walk in, corn dogs and drinks are advertised more. We weren't sure if they had the donuts until you walked up to the register where there is an extremely small display of them. No where near the amount of flavors it shows on the website. I had really high hopes but left really disappointed. We came at open on a sunday and it was pretty busy. Friendly staff and quick service. The donut was stale because they leave the donuts out on a rack with no covering. I figured they just opened so they'd be fresh but it was definitely from the day before at the least. They didn't have all the sauces available at the condiment bar. Cute little spot to try something new. I will definitely be back! Tried the Traditional Korean and the Traditional Potato, absolutely love the fact it's 100% beef. I'm not a huge cheese fan but the half and half was flavorful, especially with the Hot Cheetos. There were 3 dipping sauces : mustard, two different sweet and spicy ones, and some ketchup packets. Bellaire never disappoints, but THIS spot was very good! I'm in love with the guava flavored donut! I think it's the best. The hot dogs were pretty good as well. It wasn't too spicy considering it was covered in hot Cheetos dust. Very enjoyable. The establishment was pretty dirty though. It seems nobody cleans the tables. If I could have the pandan-flavored mochi donut every day-I would! This was my first time at Mochinut, and I tried Thai tea, pandan, and pineapple with li-hing-flavored mochi donuts. I wanted to try this since seeing a Mochinut in San Antonio and on the recommendation of friends. First I tried an order of 3 Mochinut Donuts. I had the chocolate iced, the original glazed, and the churro one. All three were light and fluffy. Not hard and dried out. They come out to be about $3 each which is pretty expensive for donuts. Then I tried the cheddar cheese hot dog, which I topped with ketchup and mustard. It was good - the outside was crunchy and the inside was a typical corndog, but with cheddar cheese in between the crust and the dog. And last I tried the potato mozzarella hot dog. It is covered in the same crunchy outside as the other hot dog, but then covered with a ton of small potato cubes. The inside is filled with melted mozzarella, but there seemed to be too much breading on the inside. All in all it was a great visit and I'm glad I tried something new! read more

Coming from LA Mochinut is my favorite place for dessert. This location was disappointing. Out of the 25 different Mochinut flavors they only have 6 available. I asked why only 6 and they rotate the flavors every so often. So coming here will be a hit and miss and don't expect the flavor you want. read more
