Privately owned, these donuts are like twice fluffier than any other donuts I've had in this area. Mention Sally's or Thalia's name and they might give you some freshly, just make donuts from the back. I've only tried their basic donuts here, but will be back k to try their other menu items. read more

It's a mom & pop donut shop. Best apple fritters I've ever had. So big it took me almost 3 days to eats but it was crispy, not too sugary, with good size apples chopped in. Loved it! read more

Ordered a dozen sausage and cheese kolaches here and a mixed dozen donuts from here. I actually like the donuts and kolaches over shipleys and the ratio of bread to sausage is perfect. Good customer service too. Support your local mom and pop donut shop. My colleagues all love this place as well! read more

They are proof that sometimes "fancier " isn't better . They don't have elaborate character donuts or nice facilities but man they know how to make the best donuts/ and donut holes you've ever had! I am not even a "donut person"- I know I know , how unamerican of me! And what do I mean by that is I will always turn down a donut - with no problem , and if you ask me if I want donuts I will always say no. But the 1-2 x's a year I could go for a donut .. I want Queens Donuts. read more

I love this little shop. Always fresh donuts and honestly tastes better than Shirley's. They are also cheaper to me than Shipley's. However, they do add 50cents to your total under $5. I really enjoy the Vietnamese Coffee as well. Service is always great, quick and easy. read more

I've lived here for 10 years and Queen Donut used to be absolutely stellar. Now it seems like the group that were so in top of everything--delicious food, fast service, beautiful shop--have retired maybe, and boy I miss them! The recipes have changed and the new crew in charge are so slow, maybe because they all have ear buds in constantly and often have full conversations on the phone while you're trying to talk to them. I was in just now, barely a word from the woman at the counter, but she was in full conversation the whole time. And it smelled like cigarette smoke. I've been giving the shop a chance again every few months, but that was pretty appalling. Goodbye, Queen Donut. I'll always miss what you used to be. It would be cool if we could get a community notice when these current people are fired or get it together, haha...half joking. read more

Best donut/kolache shop in Houston. I come here all the time for breakfast. They're open so early and the staff is so friendly.

Had been meaning to try this mom and pop donut shop down the street from us and it didn't disappoint! We got the glazed donut, blueberry cake, apple fritter, chocolate sprinkles-all were fantastic! The donuts all live up to the hype. The apple fritter was the best I've had. We also got the kolaches which were ok to me, but I'd highly recommend the croissants! We got a ham and cheese croissant and a sausage and cheese croissant and both were delish. Will def be getting those again. Employees were super nice. Will def be back and it will be our home donut shop! read more

Came in once early in the morning to be rudely ignored by a female employee who I greeted, who wouldn't greet me back, nor serve me and pretended as though I didn't exist until I tried to speak to her about ordering when she just left to the back of the store for no apparent reason, I was confused and unsure of what I did or what to do so I simply left without getting anything. Felt like a fever dream and I'm not sure what was wrong with her that day, she only cleaned around me and heavily sighed and eye rolled and groaned. But I hope she's okay, whoever the brunette was. read more

Small donut shop with the most incredible ham and cheese croissant. They will warm it for you and it's so good!! I will say don't go too late in the morning as they sell out of the ham and cheese croissants. They prefer cash so hit up the atm before you go but it's not a requirement! read more

TLDR: Get the glazed. Get a kolache. This changed my 70-year-old dad's life, they are so good. Truly, these are some of the most incredible donuts my family and I have ever had, anywhere. Texture is SOFT, stretchy, pillows. Incredible dough. Flavor is not too sweet!!! Even the glazed is juuuust sweet enough and you don't feel like you're going to die from too much sugar. The Kolaches are just the right level of sweet, savory, and spicy. Their dough is just so so special. Queen Donut has set the standard for donuts everywhere. read more

THE KOLACHAES! Honestly some of the best I've had in Houston, no joke! I have been here a few times and they always have speedy service, awesome customer service, and delish food. I highly suggest the boudin kolache. The ham and cheese it tasty too! 14/10 would suggest! read more

Always great customer service! Always great tasting treats ! Love them always go on Sundays !

I'm so glad we found an amazing donut & kolache shop in the Heights other than Shipleys! Overall, great small shop with a large variety. Maple Bacon Donut: Great balance of sweet and salty. The bacon was still light and crispy when we ate it, and the maple icing was not overly sweet. Blueberry Cake Donut: These are my go to! Fluffy donut filled with blue berries and lightly coated with icing. They smell so good! Boudin Kolache: There's not a lot of places that offer this. I only know two places, and this place is now my favorite. Great flavor and ratio of rice and meat. Apple Fritter: This was cooked perfectly. Usually, I see residual oil and grease from apple fritters, but this one did not. Great flavor of apples and cinnamon, but again not overly sweet read more

In all my years of adoring kolaches, I have yet to find a more affordable and less addicting contender for the "Slap ya mama" award. Serious. The family that runs this spot is friendly, fast and patient. The shop itself is quaint and perfectly "donut-shoplike", just as you'd expect. I personally recommend the ham+cheese croissant, literally any kolache, and their apple fritters are pretty freakin mean. In a good way. Warm it up please! From the friendly service to the perfectly delicious kolaches, this place is a winner. The quaint shop, affordable prices, and tasty treats make it a must-visit. read more

Love this little shop. Freshest kolaches and friendliest people! Easy stop in for breakfast.

Small mom and pop donut shops are the best. Very friendly owners. Always sneaks in an extra donut or two and donut holes in your bag. Jumbo sausage and cheese kolache 5/5. Nice soft breading. Good sausage to bread ratio and not over stuffed with cheese. Glazed Donut 5/5. Very soft and bready and not too sweet. read more

Family owned, everyone is always super nice, and the kolaches are THE BEST I've ever had in Houston. The pastry dough is incredibly soft and delicious - the dough reminds me of this coconut pastry bread I used to get back in NY...but I digress...
