The Apple fritter was nice but it was greasy..... old grease at that ....sucks cause the flavor was there....but after I ate it, I did feel queezy and I'm sure it's cause of the grease. The smoothies are made from a mix...not fruit on the spot.... The jelly donut...nothing special. It was a donut filled with regular...I'd even say flavorless jelly. The bread for the kolaches is incredibly soft, fluffy, and delicious. The sausage, jalapeño kolache was delish, not a strong over powering jalapeño. We tried the ham and cheese, boudin and a taco for kicks. It's an egg and sausage taco, not bad at all. You can't substitute milk on any of the coffees or frappes so we didn't get any. Service is fast, it's not up to date in fixtures but it's clean and yummy. It was a quick in and out. Will return. read more

The breading is croissant and it is just so good crispy on the edges but soft in the middle with a good amount of sausage to bread ratio. What got me is the customer service. Every time I've been they've been so accommodating. Today, my daughter specifically wanted a pink sprinkled donut. They have special pricing for 1/2 dozen glazed, but I only ordered 5 plus the sprinkled and they still gave me the deal. Not only that, they were literally OUT of the pink sprinkled and the man at the counter literally went out of his way to make her one special. Not to mention he threw in a free blueberry cake donut. Family owned, super friendly & delicious. Family has been real sweet with my son ever since he could eat solid foods. His favorite donut is a glazed donut with blue (sometimes green) frosting & sprinkles. They even make it right then & there if they're out (making is day). They make amazing sausage kolaches (jalapeños preferred). Their croissant sandwiches are great. Their croissants are amazing PERIOD. They also have these biscuits which are more like torta breads & are heavenly! I think they'll be great for burgers. The best cake donuts in town. They made me forget about Shipleys. My husband spotted this hidden beauty's "open" sign and we pulled in to test our luck. We then decided, let's try the blueberry donut. I would have never thought to order it. But I am GLAD I did. It was soooooo moist. And had the perfect balance of sweet. I have always drove pass this place without much care for it because the exterior doesn't have much appeal. But recently someone raved about it in the Spring Branch Facebook group, and so I decided to try it out. Since it was my first time, I tried a bunch of donuts and kolaches, and I have to say that they are AMAZING. This is one of the best donuts and kolaches I've had in awhile. All the donuts were so SOFT and FLUFFY. Same with the dough of the kolaches. I agree with the rest of the reviewers that the blueberry donut was great. The lady was so nice, she even gave me two free glazed donuts. Anyways, great mom-and-pop place. I regretted that I judged this place from the outside appearance and missed out all these years. The egg was actual egg with both the yolk and the egg white. Several places I've been previously have the folded yellow egg mass, but not this place - it's real egg! The food is great the service is friendly but they are just missing a few KEY elements. Like if you ask for one spicy kolache and one reg. You'll prob get home with two of one kind. And they don't package your food properly so don't even bother getting anything with icing topping. I've lived in this area for 4 years now and never been in this shop (mostly afraid of it actually being good since it's about 200 yards from where I live lol). Finally moseyed in the other day and got a few kolaches: jalapeno, sausage + cheese, and boudin. Also sprung for some donut holes since they smelled so nice. I will say some things could be labeled better but the lady behind the counter was completely willing to explain everything if needed. Everything we got was very tasty - the donut holes were fluffy and sweet, and the jalapeno kolache was my favorite. All tasted very fresh! Only real con of this establishment is the parking - there are a few spots right in front of the restaurant but if you can't get in to one of those then the parking lot is a little difficult to navigate. There is plenty of parking in the lot as a whole but you might have to walk a few extra feet which, let's face it, probably ok when we're talking about eating donuts ;) read more

It varies on what they have in morning, sometimes someone comes in and wipes out inventory so might be slim pickins, other times overflow of your favourite items, all cheap. They were open during Harvey so I figured I'd stop in. Best decision I've made in a long time! They were out of donuts (it was late) so I got some kolaches. Light dough and good flavor sausage. My wife is not a bread person and she liked them. Went back next day and got donuts. Sour creme glazed are heaven. Plain sugar made my lady happy, and finally... finally... a shop that makes a great apple fritter, and it has real apple chunks (lots of them)!
