I stop by this donut shop in hopes to get a good quality donut. I was very disappointed. Upon entering it was very quiet in side as I was the only customer there. You would think there would be a little more traffic at 9:30 am. I ordered 2 glazed donuts and a spinach croissant. The donuts were old, cold and hard. I was really disappointed with the donuts I bought here. I popped in after church one day, hoping for a quick snack before heading home. I ended up getting two glazed donuts and kolaches. I specifically asked the lady to warm up the donuts, but when I got in the car and opened the bag, they were still cold. On top of that, they had a strange smell and weren't fresh (stale). The staff actually talk to you and engage the conversation. The food is AMAZING. a bit on the pricy side, but hey inflation right? The store itself is bright, cheery and welcoming. We were looking for kolaches and donuts so we tried Donut Guys. We went after noon so the selection was down. We still got kolaches and donuts. I like boudin so I got 1 boudin kolache and a boudin kolache with jalapeño. They were great. My wife got a beef sausage kolache. She really enjoyed them. We ordered filled donuts and they filled them while we waited. We also got old fashioned doughnuts and mini cinnamon buns. The people that waited on us were terriffic. This is not our usual area of town so we were looking for a non chain donut shop, and stumbled upon Donut Guys. From the outside it looks like a normal shop but when you walk in it's very clean, the donut guy himself is very friendly & the array of offerings is unusual! We went for a chorizo & potato taco, boudin kolache, small sausage & cheese kolache and old fashioned donut. My partner was extra excited because he offered her to try his homemade spicy salsa. I have family that lives nearby this shop and I went in and wow the donuts were amazing!! I couldn't even choose what I wanted everything looked so good! I purchased 3 dozen varieties and all my family was so excited. I think this is the best donut place I have ever walked in. I only wish they had a location in Austin. The proprietor was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we got a dozen various items, including chocolate covered blueberry cake, regular glazed (really light and tasty), old-fashioned twice fried (a little crispier), strawberry filled, cinnamon twist, and a few others. So I just got my order through Yelp and I gotta tell you not too shabby! Order went through quickly and was delivered ahead of the promised time so woo. The only things I was a bit disappointed with was that on their menu they had a breakfast taco as one of the pictures next to a bacon egg and cheese kolache title, so I assumed they just had the title wrong but nope the titles right and the picture wrong. Also I ordered a white chocolate latte because it was listed and they almost immediately after I put in my order called to let me know they didn't have that so I just got the caramel latte instead. I've had Donut Guys bookmarked on Yelp for awhile after moving into the area recently and I'm sooo glad I've finally made time to try it out. The guys that own/work the joint are so nice & genuine! I came in with a new housemate that recently moved here from Vietnam & they were so nice and accommodating to him. They also gave him 3 free donuts to welcome him! We tried out the cheesecake, creme brûlée, smores, bacon maple, and chocolate iced with walnut donuts and they were all bomb as heck, super fluffy as well. We also tried out all of the kolaches & wow, PLEASE try the boudin!!!! You will not be disappointed! This will definitely be my new go-to to satisfy my donut/kolaches craving. read more

I got a few kolaches(more on that later) some glaze, red velvet, and other random donuts. The red velvet donuts were fresh, and tasted really good. Not too sweet. My son did a dance when eating his . I tried their smore donut and a plain donut. The smore looked amazing and smelled amazing. My co-worker made fun of my excited face when I saw the donut. I came in here this morning to get some fancy donuts for my mom since it was her birthday. Arriving at around 9:30 am, there was a couple of people ahead of me. Not too bad. The shop was small and pretty plain. There was a glass counter in the front with so many donuts. The people there were super nice and helpful since there weren't any labels for the donuts. I got half a dozen fancy donuts and had to get 2 boudain kolaches since they looked super good. I got 2 cake donuts in dark chocolate raspberry and strawberries and cream. The rest were maple bacon, chocolate pecan, strawberry cheesecake, and smores. The two kolaches were regular and jalapeño and cheese. The donuts were super cute and yummy. The donuts weren't too dense and weren't too fluffy. They were just right. The kolaches were my favorite. I'm a huge fan of boudain, so there's no surprise that I would get a couple of them in kolache form. The jalapeño one has a good about of jalapeño bits in the mix which made it better than the regular one. I liked the regular one as well, but I prefer spicy food. The breading around the kolache was slightly sweet and fluffy which was amazing. Overall, I loved this place. I'd definitely come back when I'm craving boudain kolaches and cute donuts! read more

Happened to stop by wasn't even planning to, but wow what a great find. Everything looked delicious, but i went with the ones i usually don't find near me. One was a cronut and a red velvet crumb donut. Both were amazing! My first cronut, it was smaller than the ones i've seen, but it was delicious. One of my favorite now. My 3-4th time here and service is always great. Bout 11 am. Had the spicy sausage cheese jalepeno and spicy boudin kolache as well as a blue berry donut and glazed donut. Sausage was mmh juicy! I always have to have a donut and kolache before my couponing runs! I was lucky enough to run into this grand opening donut shop. I was simply amazed and shocked of the unique flavors they had. Location: easy to find and plenty of parking space. The inside of the shop is just trendy and way too cute. It's not your normal run down donut shops. Product: the donut itself is simply fluffy and soft. You would figure that after leaving your donuts on your kitchen counter at home and it becomes hard like a rock. Not this donut!!!! It's not your typical donut! I left the donuts out for a whole day at work. Decided to eat it while stuck in traffic and tasted just like it was freshly made still. The kolaches: HANDS DOWN!! This little hole in the wall is not only super cheap, but it is amazing! They have Lola Savanna coffee (very good stuff.. look it up) and really interesting donuts for kids like fruity pebbles and strawberry shortcake! Kolaches are out of this world. Let me start off by saying that the Boudin kolache was so good , the ratio of bread to boudin was perfect , it was so tasty and the bread was soft and buttery . I got a small jalapeño sausage and cheese and the bread was nice and buttery but the sausage bread ratio was not So good the sausage was very small. My daughter wanted a plain sausage kolache and they ran out so next time we will come earlier . My kids said the donuts where great and I thought the donut wholes where decent , I wished I would have asked them to heat up our food so that I could have ate it on the go but I forgot as I am usually asked at other places . Woke up this morning craving kolaches. It's hard to find the "right" balance of dough and stuffing for any well-rounded Texas kolache experience. Naturally, I took to Yelp and came across Donut Guys. It's a Wednesday morning here in Houston, and while I was out for a kolache, Yelp bragged that Donut Guys served the elusive cronut. My excitement piqued and the reviews substantially promising, I headed over only to discover that while their weekend menu may brag of a pretty extensive selection, their Wednesday offerings were disappointingly scaled down. No cronuts. No crazy-confectionery creations of donut curiosities. Donut Guys only had a few choices: a sausage and jalapeño kolache and a Tex-Mex bun. Their kolache is a nice balance of meat and dough, their dough is on the sweeter side, but light and fluffy. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, especially negative ones because I know how it is to work customer service & food industry but this sh*t was absolutely disgusting. i found this place a few weeks ago and i loved it. i've gone multiple times a week because they're one of the only donut shops open till 2. yesterday i went to get my usual, a gatorade & 2 boudin kolaches, one jalapeño & one regular. jalapeño was fine but when i took a bite of the other one it tasted kinda funky. mind you, i was a little high so i wasn't paying attention. i was just hungry and i was looking forward to this kolache all day. i take a few more bites and immediately spit it out because it just tasted evil. that's the only way i can describe it, a taste like no other. i throw it back in the bag and it lands upside down and i am DISGUSTED!!! the bottom is covered in f*cking mold. after i puke my guts out i drive back over and show the lady. bless her heart, love her to death she's always so sweet. she ran to the back to get the manager and he came out with some bs excuse about how they roll them fresh everyday so it had to be something from the parchment paper they display them on. from the taste of the filling it was obvious that it was old and he was lying right to my face. he told me he'd make it up to me and tried warming me up another but i declined and told him i just wanted my money back. he gives me $5 cash even though i paid with card and my total was over $13... whatever. spent the rest of the day throwing up and i still can't eat any food without tasting mold. never going again read more
