At DONUT GUYS... They don't treat you like family when you come here. They treat you like you're a friend who's become family. They give you their light and their joy, without conditions. They open their space up to you, so that every time you come here you feel like you're home. They are genuine, and actually care about you and how you are doing, and it shows in their faces, in their actions, and in every facet of their business. At DONUT GUYS... They don't just make good donuts, they make the best donuts in Houston. They don't use premade anything. Everything is scratch made. They don't buy their materials from restaurant supply or Walmart. They support local small businesses only. They don't shortcut to save money; they invest time, energy, and their finances to make sure they only serve food to their customers that is deserving of their craftsmanship and their brand. These are those people. The rare ones, the ones who impact your day and have you leaving their store feeling changed. These are the people who have thought through every aspect of their business and only cared about how they can make their customers experience better. These are the people who aren't going to beg or plead or demand your support, even when they totally deserve. Out of the millions of Houstonians THESE FOLKS are the folks who you should give your loyalty to. Out of the millions of businesses in Houston, these are the folks who you should your money to. And out of the thousands of establishments I've gone to in this year, and out of the millions of establishments I've been to in my thirty years of life; this is the third place I've ever been to that has impacted me to the point where I have gone home and prayed to my god for them. Not because I selfishly want them to stay open. But because I believe in my soul that out of everyone they are one of the few that deserve to not only make it, but to prosper. Last thing I will say... this is the only donut shop on 1960, and yes me and my family have tried every single one from I-10 to 290; that has said hi back to my daughter. That has been kind or even given her a moment of their attention. And has been graceful and patient while she expressed her excitement. I know, that sounds kinda weird. Like, why would that matter. But see, my daughter has high functioning autism; like me. And she has the same problem I do, where she doesn't care about how you're expected to act. She just got a lot of love to give and she gives it freely. So she gets hurt, and oftentimes closes down when people ignore her and don't want to meet her eyes. Because she doesn't understand why people don't want her to love on them. But here. She runs around and screams with excitement and they laugh. She says hi and waves and you can see the crows feet when they smile and say hi back to her. They look her in her eyes and talk to her and actually put in effort to show her she matters to them. And you can tell. They have love for her as if she was their own niece. That to me. Means more than anything else. If my child is welcomed somewhere. Then that's where you'll find me. read more

first off let's talk customer service. The owners are amazingly kind, and really personable. I bring my son here all the time, he loves the kolaches, I myself am a fan of there venison kolaches. There drinks are also extremely good. They definitely get to know their customers, when i come in it's always smiles and nice conversations. It's a casual homemade feel, which is so nice. If you want excellent food, that tastes Fresh you need to go here. read more

I stop by this donut shop in hopes to get a good quality donut. I was very disappointed. Upon entering it was very quiet in side as I was the only customer there. You would think there would be a little more traffic at 9:30 am. I ordered 2 glazed donuts and a spinach croissant. The donuts were old, cold and hard. Both menu items taste like they had been made the day before. Im not sure how this place has 4 stars. I'll be back at Shipley's where the donuts are hot and fresh! read more

I was really disappointed with the donuts I bought here. I popped in after church one day, hoping for a quick snack before heading home. I ended up getting two glazed donuts and kolaches. I specifically asked the lady to warm up the donuts, but when I got in the car and opened the bag, they were still cold. On top of that, they had a strange smell and weren't fresh (stale). I was hesitant to even try the kolaches so I didn't. I gave it to my husband, he's like Mikey. Lol! read more

Jalapeno Boudin Kolache! Absolutely YES! It is a relief to notice and appreciate a small business such as this. As like most Donut shops, this one is different. The staff actually talk to you and engage the conversation. The food is AMAZING. a bit on the pricy side, but hey inflation right? The store itself is bright, cheery and welcoming. A great selection to choose from but again, i would highly recommend the Jalapeno Boudin Kolache. Treat yourself, you deserve it. read more

We were looking for kolaches and donuts so we tried Donut Guys. We went after noon so the selection was down. We still got kolaches and donuts. I like boudin so I got 1 boudin kolache and a boudin kolache with jalapeño. They were great. My wife got a beef sausage kolache. She really enjoyed them. We ordered filled donuts and they filled them while we waited. We also got old fashioned doughnuts and mini cinnamon buns. The people that waited on us were terriffic. We really loved everything and we will definitely return. Try it you'll like it! read more

I have family that lives nearby this shop and I went in and wow the donuts were amazing!! I couldn't even choose what I wanted everything looked so good! I purchased 3 dozen varieties and all my family was so excited. I think this is the best donut place I have ever walked in. I only wish they had a location in Austin. I will go in every time I go to Houston! The customer service was excellent and when talking to the owner "Carlos " I found out it is family owned and operated. Awesome place and very clean! read more

This is not our usual area of town so we were looking for a non chain donut shop, and stumbled upon Donut Guys. From the outside it looks like a normal shop but when you walk in it's very clean, the donut guy himself is very friendly & the array of offerings is unusual! We went for a chorizo & potato taco, boudin kolache, small sausage & cheese kolache and old fashioned donut. My partner was extra excited because he offered her to try his homemade spicy salsa. Everything was fresh & delicious- I highly recommend! read more

This is a great non-chain donut shop and is very close to home. The boudin kolache is the best. I will be back often.

Nice little donut shop. Kolaches, glazed donuts and filled donuts. We got one of each and all were good. Sign outside said tacos (assuming breakfast tacos). We were there around 8:30am on Sunday and it was very quiet, just one person up front. Maybe busier during the week. I was a little disappointed that they recently stopped making Apple Fritters as they did not sell well . It's close by so we'll be back. read more

Leaving this review short and simple. Donuts were nice and fluffy, yet a little too sweet for me. Price was reasonable and staff was polite. I got the blueberry, blueberry and glaze, glazed, and fruity pebbles. I recommend just getting the blueberry because it was bursting with flavor! Perfect for kids with a sweet tooth! read more

Saw this shop from the street while we were looking for a donut shop, decided to give them a try. The proprietor was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we got a dozen various items, including chocolate covered blueberry cake, regular glazed (really light and tasty), old-fashioned twice fried (a little crispier), strawberry filled, cinnamon twist, and a few others. Everything was really, really good. The donut guy (owner?) said to come back on Saturday for tamales from a 2-generation recipe, we want to try that some time (we're from out of town). Thanks for a wonderful taste treat or 12...! read more

So I just got my order through Yelp and I gotta tell you not too shabby! Order went through quickly and was delivered ahead of the promised time so woo. The only things I was a bit disappointed with was that on their menu they had a breakfast taco as one of the pictures next to a bacon egg and cheese kolache title, so I assumed they just had the title wrong but nope the titles right and the picture wrong. Also I ordered a white chocolate latte because it was listed and they almost immediately after I put in my order called to let me know they didn't have that so I just got the caramel latte instead. Honestly almost perfect service so I'm pleased. The food was also great so yummy place to get your basic donut fix. read more

I've had Donut Guys bookmarked on Yelp for awhile after moving into the area recently and I'm sooo glad I've finally made time to try it out. The guys that own/work the joint are so nice & genuine! I came in with a new housemate that recently moved here from Vietnam & they were so nice and accommodating to him. They also gave him 3 free donuts to welcome him! We tried out the cheesecake, creme brûlée, smores, bacon maple, and chocolate iced with walnut donuts and they were all bomb as heck, super fluffy as well. We also tried out all of the kolaches & wow, PLEASE try the boudin!!!! You will not be disappointed! This will definitely be my new go-to to satisfy my donut/kolaches craving. read more

I've been here multiple times and I'm told they can't make an iced coffee; in the past it has been no problems. The apple fritters were stale, like they were from the day before. I'm not sure if it's new management or new employees but its not the same place it used to be. read more

Maaaaannnnnnn!!! This place right here is the lady behind the counter told me I was gonna be back and man was she right. I got a few kolaches(more on that later) some glaze, red velvet, and other random donuts. The red velvet donuts were fresh, and tasted really good. Not too sweet. My son did a dance when eating his . The random donuts were good although I didn't bother learning what kind. Now for the fun part The kolache I had were pan sausage and cheese and damn these things are good. Like, one take 1 bite then look at someone to see if they notice the joy and pleasure you're experiencing at that moment type good. Definitely check this place out . Very customer friendly, and clean establishment. I'll be back read more

I tried their smore donut and a plain donut. The smore looked amazing and smelled amazing. My co-worker made fun of my excited face when I saw the donut. Apparently, I don't get excited for much BUT that donut did the trick!!!! I normally don't like chocolate but I did like their smore donut. The plain donut was soft, fluffy, and so delicious! I had seen their store in passing and heard other co-workers talk about it. I can't wait to go eat more of their donuts! read more

I came in here this morning to get some fancy donuts for my mom since it was her birthday. Arriving at around 9:30 am, there was a couple of people ahead of me. Not too bad. The shop was small and pretty plain. There was a glass counter in the front with so many donuts. The people there were super nice and helpful since there weren't any labels for the donuts. I got half a dozen fancy donuts and had to get 2 boudain kolaches since they looked super good. I got 2 cake donuts in dark chocolate raspberry and strawberries and cream. The rest were maple bacon, chocolate pecan, strawberry cheesecake, and smores. The two kolaches were regular and jalapeño and cheese. The donuts were super cute and yummy. The donuts weren't too dense and weren't too fluffy. They were just right. The kolaches were my favorite. I'm a huge fan of boudain, so there's no surprise that I would get a couple of them in kolache form. The jalapeño one has a good about of jalapeño bits in the mix which made it better than the regular one. I liked the regular one as well, but I prefer spicy food. The breading around the kolache was slightly sweet and fluffy which was amazing. Overall, I loved this place. I'd definitely come back when I'm craving boudain kolaches and cute donuts! read more

Happened to stop by wasn't even planning to, but wow what a great find. Everything looked delicious, but i went with the ones i usually don't find near me. One was a cronut and a red velvet crumb donut. Both were amazing! My first cronut, it was smaller than the ones i've seen, but it was delicious. One of my favorite now. It was like a chewy crunch crossaint. The red velvet was amazing and soft, but had a nice crunch from all the crumbs. Everything was better than i expected. read more

OMG what a treat in my neck of the woods!!! I was pleasantly surprised with the selection and the quality of this little donut shop... Me and my daughter selected four donuts and we split a boudin kolache... We both bit each donut and agreed all was awesome... Her favorite was the smores donut and mine was the turtle donut... We both loved the boudin kolache... My daughter said she thought the place was really cute and she was already planning her return visit... The owner insisted that we taste the sausage kolache which was great as well... I also noted that they sale cafe du monde coffee... read more

I always have to have a donut and kolache before my couponing runs! I was lucky enough to run into this grand opening donut shop. I was simply amazed and shocked of the unique flavors they had. Location: easy to find and plenty of parking space. The inside of the shop is just trendy and way too cute. It's not your normal run down donut shops. Product: the donut itself is simply fluffy and soft. You would figure that after leaving your donuts on your kitchen counter at home and it becomes hard like a rock. Not this donut!!!! It's not your typical donut! I left the donuts out for a whole day at work. Decided to eat it while stuck in traffic and tasted just like it was freshly made still. The kolaches: HANDS DOWN!! The best kolache I had. Not a normal mini sausage in your kolache. It's a smoked sausage. The boudain kolache is amazing as well!!! You must try the kolaches!!!! Words can't explain how good it is!! read more

This place is amazing the owners are such friendly people, and the kolaches are amazing (my gf loves the boudin kolaches), and if you didn't already see the pics my favorite is their Cronuts. Arrived at 10:15 am on Sunday , there was plenty of donuts to choose from . We got 3 glazed donuts , one glazed with sprinkles Donut wholes and two kolaches . Let me start off by saying that the Boudin kolache was so good , the ratio of bread to boudin was perfect , it was so tasty and the bread was soft and buttery . I got a small jalapeño sausage and cheese and the bread was nice and buttery but the sausage bread ratio was not So good the sausage was very small. My daughter wanted a plain sausage kolache and they ran out so next time we will come earlier . My kids said the donuts where great and I thought the donut wholes where decent , I wished I would have asked them to heat up our food so that I could have ate it on the go but I forgot as I am usually asked at other places . It was good for the first time here . read more
