Everyone in my house lives a good doughnut. Our go to, Texas based chain is not as good as it used to be since recipes changed so we haven't had a good doughnut in a while. This was a hidden gem, diamond in the rough kinda situation. Didn't even realize they were there but I think this is going to be our new weekend tradition. Service was great, doughnuts were fantastic! Very reasonably priced read more

Our go to donut place and they have lovely kolaches as well! We DoorDash it on weekends and it works out great for our family! The donuts are always fresh and not overly sweet. The glazed, colored icing, chocolate are all good. The sausage and cheese kolaches are hit too and spinach one is a good option for non meat eaters! read more

Stopped by around 6:15am one morning to pick up donuts for some coworkers and I think it may have been an off day for them. There weren't many donuts in the case and they had been open already for an hour. There were only old fashioned donuts and maybe two dozen cake donuts in the case along with their breakfast croissants and kolaches. The owner and his wife were incredibly nice and working hard to make/fry donuts for people coming in and out. My order was fairly large (4 dozen-- 2 dozen glazed and 2 dozen mixed) so I didn't mind waiting. They had to fry and then ice the donuts while it was hot, so I know the icing was more melted than usual. I still really appreciated how hard they worked to get everything out and ready. Everyone at work said the donuts tasted great! Will certainly come here again in the future and give them a heads up the day before so they can have some time to prepare it for the day of! read more

I buy donuts by the dozens all over the Houston area and deliver to local businesses. Best is my favorite shop in the Sugar Land area. I must say, these donuts are delicious, everyone at the conference LOVED them. They were fresh, warm and service was top-tier. See you in the morning. read more

Best Donuts - 3 dozen mixed donuts. ***Sticker is mine. - Donuts Near Me - Sugar Land, Texas

We just bought a home in Livingston so not familiar with restaurants yet. We love donuts and hot fresh Shipley's have always been our favorite. I did a search for "donuts near me" on our map app - Best Donuts was the first to come up & had many 5 star reviews. I found them on FB & sent a message asking if they delivered. The phone was answered right away & the gentleman that answered was very polite & friendly. He lmk that they do not deliver but they have an agreement with Door Dash - I went on DD & ordered about 2 dozen donuts & a caramel Vietnamese coffee. I had a cinnamon sugar donut & loved it! Very fresh & delicious. A few hours later my husband came & was asking where the donuts came from. We always disagree on donuts. He's from Florida so is a Krispy Kreme kid, I grew up on Shipley's so we always debate on where to get donuts when we're in Houston. He loved the Best Donuts & wanted to go to the restaurant & buy a few more dozen for the holiday weekend. I talked him in to waiting til tomorrow so we can have fresh donuts again but am so pleased to find a donut shop that we both love! I love Yelp & being able to read reviews from fellow helpers is very helpful to me. I thought it was only fair I also share our experience & recommend this shop! We will be returning & the Vietnamese coffee was very good too! If they had boba my kids would spend all of their time there instead of on the lake! read more

The glazed donuts were perfection!! We wished we had gotten more. Will go again anytime we're in town!

This is one of my favorite donut shops with a great variety of kolache. Service is always friendly.

Classic donuts with really friendly owners. Whenever we are craving a treat, this is the place to go. They offer classic donut flavors, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast tacos. Their donuts are soft, fluffy, and nostalgic. When I stop by with the kiddo, the owner always throws in a few extra donut holes. They also have lots of different colored frosting and sprinkles to choose from. My go to is either a boston cream or powdered donut. Their breakfast sandwiches and kolaches are hearty. I have tried the sausage and cheese, spinach and cheese, and boudin varieties. All fantastic. read more

My 2 year old knows this place out of all the donut shops we go to. I guess that's one way how you know it's good! He says "Best Donut"! To me, freshly made donuts taste about the same anywhere (except for Krispy Kreme, Round Rock Donuts, and gourmet donut shops). What stands out for this place is the customer service. The people behind the counter are always so kind and friendly. Sometimes a simple smile (and a few extra donut holes... jk) can affect everything. The selection is decent for a small establishment. They have regular frosting, powdered, coated, sprinkled, chocolate, filled, etc. nothing over the top like Voodoo, but they have all your delicious basics. Interior is a bit drab, but I wouldn't expect more from a small family business trying to make it. It gives it a special home feel. We are becoming regulars here, and I suspect that this will continue on until our son stops requesting "Best Donut". read more

This is indeed the BEST DONUT store! They have the best donuts and sandwiches I have ever tried. It is a small donut shop but there is a good variety of donuts, kolaches, and sandwiches. The donuts are not overly sweet, and they do not have the factory taste. The donut holes are so good. They are small so I will just pop one after another into my mouth. A dozen is gone within 5mins. Their new pastry with spinach and cheese is so delicious. One is not enough. The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich is super good too. They have the best donuts and sandwiches I have ever tried. Business owner is very friendly. She always greets the customers when they enter the store. I always feel welcomed when I am in the store. Many thumbs up! read more

The donuts, croissants and kalachies, etc. are Delicous and fresh. Family owned, very pleasant and courteous. Convinent parking.

Growing up, I was always a Shipley's gal, but then I had Best Donuts and have changed my tune. These donuts truly are the BEST. They are like sweet, fluffy, pillows, of yummy goodness. I'm glad that they are a little out of the way from my house, otherwise, I'd go there too often. read more

My 9-year-old daughter has been coming here since she was 3, and here's a special review from her: "I love this place! The menu has the perfect variety, and the cozy atmosphere makes every visit so enjoyable. Plus, the donuts have a delightful mom-and-pop charm--they truly are the best donuts!" As for me, I'm a big fan of the croissant-style breading on the kolaches--it's so flaky and decadent! read more

I love trying out local donut shops, and this one didn't disappoint! We tried a handful of different sweet donuts and savory kolaches, which overall were delicious. The owners are also friendly and sweet, and the doughnuts are super fresh and also sweet. Awesome neighborhood spot that I would go out of my way to visit, especially for their boudin kolache ! Support small businesses (PSA Dunkin' Donuts have everything come to their stores frozen, and they just thaw it and warm it for you. Try looking for a fryer, they ain't got it ) read more

There was ants crawling on the food in the display case. The restaurant and selection seemed good but i quickly noticed the bugs and smell.

You're closed at 11:26am on a Sunday... smh. I wish I would've known........................................................

I decided to update my review. This place deserves all of their flowers. I have ordered at least fifteen times now. We order kolaches with jalepeno sausage, egg and potato, donuts, fritters, twist. Just a variety of things. Everything is excellent. When you order thru a delivery app if they don't have the item they will call you. No complaints. This business deserves nothing but praise. read more

I love this place! It is my go to for donuts now! So convenient and a neighborhood gem. Sorry, not sorry Shipley's, Best gets all my business now. Ms Hannah and her husband are so awesome. I feel like Norm from Cheers every time I drop in, they always remember me by name. For those times I take a break they are so welcoming when they see me again and always greet me with a smile and a "where have you been?" I haven't been disappointed in anything I have tried, especially their recommended iced blueberry cake donut. My fav! I usually am not a fan of cake donuts, but this one changed my mind and only this one. The plain glazed donuts are also a favorite, so light, so fluffy, so tasty, so mmmm. Not at all greasy like some other places. If you get a chance, also try their spinach and feta pastry or their sausage/cheese kolaches the roll is light, not heavy or bready. I am more than happy to a support this small local business. They are the quintessential neighborhood Mom and Pop shop. You can't go wrong. read more

Ok. I'm very surprised I haven't made a review on this AMAZING place, because I go here almost every Saturday. They are my favorite small business of all time. Their donuts are the only donuts I've had that don't make my stomach hurt. Also, their chocolate icing is SO much more flavorful than Shipleys and Dunkin. They recognize us and greet us by name every time we enter. They remember my mom and dad's orders when they occasionally come back in, even though they haven't come regularly in YEARS. When my brother and I were kids, we ALWAYS got donut holes. Even when we don't order them now, Hannah remembers we like them and adds in a few, at no cost to us. Summary: the donuts are delicious, and the customer service is top-notch. Thanks to best donuts, my favorite small business!! read more

Hannah and Kai make the best donuts in town! I asked for color coded birthday donuts - my son prefers donuts over cake - and Hannah suggested letters...! I placed the order Friday for Sunday 11am. When I walked in to pick them up they were fresh from the frying pan and still hot - super delicious!! She colored them to order... I appreciate your hard work and willingness to go the extra mile! Thank you both! read more

Two words: spinach croissant. It's the stuff dreams are made of! Haven't tried anything that isn't delicious.

A small mom-and-pop shop in Sugar Land serving donuts, kolaches, and breakfast tacos! Inside is nothing special; if anything, it'll give you some vintage 90's coffee shop vibes. They have a variety of flavors for donuts ranging from traditional to cake donuts to crullers, all made fresh same day! If you come early enough, you can catch some warm kolaches. The prices are fairly reasonable! Roughly $1 for each donut and about $12 for a dozen. When I ordered a dozen, the older man threw in a handful of donut holes as well! Their donuts aren't too sweet compared to Shipley's or Krispy Kreme. I will warn y'all that card payments theres a minimum of $4. This is a great local joint overall! This is a great local gem! read more

I've never had boudin croissant and I am hooked!!! The boudin stuffed inside a flakey croissant. Amazing. They had options for mild or spicy boudin. We also got some of their doughnuts and their doughnut holes also yum! Definitely will continue to come instead of going to shipley's. read more

Like the name states, Best Donuts, are the best! I can't say enough about how fresh and delicious these donuts are. I am addicted, everyone in my office is too. Love this place! Super sweet owners, great donuts and kolaches. Try to go early because they will usually sell out of the good stuff. Interior is what you'd expect from a small mom and pop place which adds to the charm. Almost always a few regulars hanging out eating. They always ask if you want a drink- they are expensive but I 100% understand that because there's no way they make any profit on the donuts. I love going here a few times a week and supporting this local business, and would be extremely sad if they ever had to close down. read more

This is our favorite independent donut shop! The owner is always so friendly and the donuts and donut holes are delicious!

Best donuts is probably my favorite donut spot in missouri city. They're consistently good, and the prices are very fair. I've tried things ranging from their various donuts, to kolaches and croissant sandwiches and everything's been solid. I think what really stands out is their blueberry cake donut. It's what differentiates them in my opinion from your local shipley's or krispy kreme. It's got a really nice glaze and texture, and it has a nice blueberry flavor. Their old fashion sour cream donuts also have a nice crispy exterior and aren't too sweet. The croissants are nice and fluffy with a juicy sausage inside, and the kolaches I would say can compete with kolache factory. I love that they also give you a few donut holes on the house when you order a half dozen or dozen. You can't go wrong with any donuts here, but I recommend the blueberry cake donut and old fashioned ones primarily. Overall great service, great food, and great prices! read more
