Love this spot- you can never make me a Shipley's fan. What love most here isn't the typical glazed, it's the cake donuts and the crueller ones- glazed of course. Always fresh and the staff is nice. I've been here more than a couple of time and when I tell you I'm never disappointed the cinnamon rolls are my go-to they are so lite and fresh no matter what time you go there. Stopped in at Billys Donuts in Missouri City. The place is small but the perfect doughnut shop. You order at the counter and it is prompt service. I got the jumbo sausage kolache. It was very good! Poor Service Today my kids went in to make a purchase like any other guest/customer and or adult. Unfortunately they were met with a not only impatient but inconsiderate staff member (older woman). My kids were visibly being skipped/passed over and once they were able to get help they were then asked to "hurry up". This is NOT OKAY. Not only was she vocal about it so was her body language. She wouldn't have dared to tell an adult to hurry up. My kids dollar is no less of value than any other paying customer and they should be treated with the same respect, care, patients and decency as such. After learning about it went in to address what happened and she just seemed like she wanted to rush me out to get to the next customer behind me. Don't get the smaller size, just get the bigger kolache, trust me, we've tried them both and the jumbo sausage is just a lot better. My favorite is Snowflake donuts, but this morning we were in a hurry and Billy's it right next door to Tropical Smoothie cafe, which made for a great breakfast combo on the go. This is a small donut shop with a selection full of all your favorites. Everything we ordered was freshly made and wonderfully delicious. Their kolache rolls are sweet and the sausage flavorful with plenty of melted cheese in it. They had other flavors, but this is my favorite and I have a hard time getting past it to try something new. I've been a semi-regular customer here for awhile. They have historically been good, hence two stars and not one. But they seem to really have stopped caring about covid regulations lately. This is twice now I've seen the person up front, handling everyone's food, not wearing a mask. The first time (about a week ago) she put one on about 15-20 seconds after I came in the store. She sneezed into it several times, which makes me wonder how many times she sneezed in the store BEFORE wearing a mask. The second time, this morning, I didn't even go into the store. I could see through the window no one was wearing masks. I for one will not order food from a restaurant that doesn't prioritize health. Sneezing around food wasn't acceptable before the pandemic, and it certainly isn't now. read more
