It almost melted in my mouth. Chocolate cake was moist and the chocolate topping did not taste too sweet or artificial. The apple fritter was delicious. I saw this place on the Too Good to Go app and decided to give it a try. My wife was in the mood for some coffee and I was interested in grabbing donuts so I had breakfast for the rest of the week. The app said that the store was open until 1:00pm today. The door said that they were open until 1:00pm today. Unfortunately, when we got there at 12:30pm (10 minutes before the pick up time), it was clear that they'd been closed for quite some time. They don't have a website, but some very outdated Facebook page confirmed that their hours today should have been until 1:00pm. I finally was able to find an Instagram page that appeared to be more or less up to date and indicated that Monday was the one day they close at noon. I had the old fashioned chocolate cake donut. Seems like it should be easy to make, but many places either don't have them or don't do it justice. They were actually sold out of the chocolate so they took a plain one and chocolatized it up for me. That shows they are helpful and caring about their customers. We picked up 6 unglazed cake donuts, dozen donut holes, and a sausage klobasnek for less than $10. The cake donuts were tasty but little denser than we like. Donut holes were huge, nicely sweet, and soft. The sausage klobasnek tasted excellent with good sausage to dough ratio. I don't know the brand of the sausage, but it was really good and the kolache dough was not too sweet which we prefer. We definitely will return to try other items. read more

Nice small donut shop on the border of fort bend and Harris counties. The friendly owners are always there to greet you with a smile. They have a variety of donuts but my favorite here are fluffy kind. If you are in the mood for a Kolache they have them too but I usually just get some croissant with cheese and egg. They are nice a buttery and if you wanna warm them up just go for it. They also have some large donuts that I have not seen in too many places around here. They are great for a birthday party or special occasion. If you want to order one just for the heck of it make sure to ask for a knife. I'm glad they also have coffee and other drinks in a cooler so that you can gulp down a half dozen. Overall this place has a decent variety and consistent quality. read more

Nasty!! I ordered two breakfast tacos, wasn't expecting a gourmet breakfast taco by any means but what I got looked like a hot mess stuffed in a sticky, wet tortilla. They were wrapped in food service film, not at all appetizing, unlike their display taco. I walked in at about 11AM, and there was no one in the shop. The place is pretty small, with counter space for food about 1/4 the size of Southern Maid down the street. Many of the shelves were empty, but the staff is willing to make anything you want if you are willing to wait. I did find the empty shelves confusing because the items on the trays did not match the item names on the shelves. Therefore, the staff have to tell you what each individual item is, and if you are like me, it is hard to remember all 15 items (for example) on the kolache shelf. The guy said that the food is consolidated onto one shelf at the end of the day, but the place didn't close for another 2 hours. This place has some unique items that you will not find at other donut/kolache/klobasnik type places. The boudin kolache was pretty good and had the right amount of spice. I thought there was supposed to be cheese inside as well, but I did not have cheese inside mine; I could be wrong. I also tried the potato, egg, and cheese kolache, but this was quite bland. I ate a little less than half. The glazed donut and donut holes were pretty good, although it's hard to mess these up. The donut holes were bigger than what you would normally get at other places, which is good. The four items cost me $7.18. Would I come here again? It's a convenient location for me. I would not think of this place necessarily at the top of my list of go-to places for breakfast, but I would not object to returning either! read more

This is one of the best donut shop in Sugar Land. The staffs are really friendly and willing to make you happy. The owner is an older lady and she's always so cheerful. It's a small business so it's not flashy or decked out like the other shops around but the personal touch and the chance to know the passionate owner is very unique for itself. The donuts are very delicious. They are not as unhealthily sweet as Shipley's or Southern Maid. You can have 2 in one sitting without hating yourself. The glazed ones are also very delicious and even though they don't have all displayed on the shelf, they can make you what you want in 5 mins. Best kolaches I've had ever! I always get their sausage, jalapeño cheese kolache. I actually prefer their donuts over Shipleys to be honest. I go with good ole glazed donuts and donut holes and they're great because the glaze isn't runny even though the actual dough is warm. On my second visit, i tried out the croissant sandwich with egg and cheese. They also have the sandwiches in ham, bacon, or sausage! I loved how the lady in the front warmed it up for me as well. The sandwich was good and warm, but I would probably try it with sausage next time as the egg and cheese basically mixed and had the same texture as the croissant.
