For the holiday donuts. Use to be included with getting the mixed specials donuts of half dozen or if you were getting dozen donuts. This goes for getting fill donuts when getting the mixed special. Now they are charging separately for filled and holiday donuts which basically ends up being an up charge of 100% when charging for donuts separately vs getting mixed half a dozen or dozen donuts. What's the point of listing you have mixed special?! Mixed special is supposed to $6 for half dozen but when I got a few filled donuts and holidays donuts they charged separately which they never did before and I ending up pays $12.50 for 6 donuts. Effed up. Been going here for years. But better for going to Kroger for donuts now. Usually also get half dozen kolaches and 2-3 croissant sandwiches. Products taste wise is on spot delicious but the new change in upcharges in donut pricing is straight ridiculous. read more

Where have you been my whole life? my mouth asked the steaming cheese, egg, potato taco. The packet of salsa happily coursed into the sliced rectangle thin potatoes. I came late in the day for this. I knew it would be a gamble to get the sweet white paper wrapped barely hidden rectangle promise dwelling within. It was after high noon. I felt reckless. Letting the universe determine the outcome of this taco. I committed to not asking for a refund even if the taco didn't serve my curiosity. I knew the tortillia wouldn't be the champion. Usually, donut shops use store bought tortillas so yes I understood ahead of time that was not the aim. Was the inside gonna be the best part is the challenge of any taco. If need be, can I eat the inside with just my bare hands and be filled if I dismiss the tortilla? It was worth it. Best plain egg, potato, cheese taco I've had from a donut shop. The potatoes tasted real, not from a frozen brand. Use the packet of salsa that is given or you could even just add salt and pepper of your own. Or just eat it with nothing. Naked tacos will tell you everything you want to know about how it was cooked & designed in the wee hours of the morning.That cheese was the strength of that taco. Best cheese. I think it was cheddar. Thick. Not shredded. Thickness of cheddar cheese just driving this 18-wheeler of egg, potato, and tortillia. I did eat the tortilla. I became friends with the tortillia. The apple fritter was next. And oh I'm so glad I did that next. Heated slightly, it just dripped into the right places in my hand as a munched away. Oh. So. Good. The smell of the cinnamon spice lodged visibly between the darkness of that deeply adorable sight! I would have licked it except my mouth was full. Soft. Gooey. Sticky. And a lot of togetherness. It took me to some mountain where you sang "It's so GOOD!" If you don't believe me, just go try it. If you have never seen the melting of the glaze from a glazed donut as it drips onto your t-shirt as you are rounding third base. Neatly as humanly possible tidying up the last bits of the taco, apple fritter, and the lip gloss of a glazed donut.....then you just haven't lived a full life. On a Thursday morning my boyfriend wanted donuts last minute, and so I swerved into the parking lot like a mad woman because it was the first donut shop I saw. I didn't read reviews and I didn't look at any pictures beforehand. But let me tell you.. this place is amazing. I came in asking for a dozen donuts, enough for him and his friends. I chose the prettiest ones in that case and expected to pay $9-15 based on Shipley's and other donut shops. But even with all the sprinkle donuts and fancier donuts, it only cost me $7 for the dozen. The very nice lady also helped me rearrange the donuts so I can take pictures after! The donuts were pretty, tasty, fresh, and well worth the time and money. The service is fast; lots of open space to separate ourselves distance wise; and as late as I came in the morning-- they still had quite a bit of selection was fresh that didn't need a microwave nuke to make it soft again; best of all-- roughly similar pricing to other things in this area and it's easy to get to. read more

I came in because of the reviews and wow they were spot on! Line was 5 deep but moved quickly. Staff seemed friendly and offered to heat kolaches. Glazed donuts were so fluffy and not overpoweringly sweet. It was perfect. Blueberry donuts are my favorite (I ate 3!) and they were fresh and delicious. I ordered in bulk for a group of people, and - I believe it was the owner - gave me extra donut holes just because. They make lots of different donuts and kolaches. My favorite was the brisket kolache (kind of like an Americanized Hong shao bao). The glazed donuts were nothing to rave about, but the kolaches were great! Glazed donuts were fluffy, soft and mouth watering! Texture is a lot different than Shipleys, but in a good way! My kids devoured their donut holes and chocolate donuts within minutes! They had no complaints. Came here around 10:00 on a weekend.. there was a small line, but it went by quickly. The two young men working the front were very friendly and diligent. I used to go to this donut shop often when I lived a mile away in the lakemont subdivision. This place has it's pros and cons. The pros are the people who work there are really nice. They try to remember your name and use it when you come there frequently. It makes for a better customer experience. The glaze donuts are good and they generally have specials on them. Their hot chocolate and varied drinks are good too. I like them. Their food is generally on point and I've never had a bad memory of them. One of my biggest memories of this place is that the donuts are a little bit more pricier and they would run out of donuts during peak times of being there. Most of the donuts are smaller in size cutting corners. The donuts were not fresh except the regular glazed, some I received were day old donuts. I was not satisfied with the service and noticed they tried to over charge me thinking I wouldn't notice. If you have a price listed then charge customers the correct price. I would recommend just driving down mason to Shipley's Donuts you will get better quality at a better price and their donuts are excellent!
