Variety of morning goodies
Akilah H.

I happen upon this place one morning & I'm glad I gave them a try. The donuts were airy & fluffy. I had the glaze donuts. I also had sausage kolaches. The croissant around the sausage was nice & buttery tasting. I've been here two other times since my first visit. Customer service is friendly and welcoming.

Their donut holes will put a smile on for those non-morning people (which includes me). On this particular morning (when it was also my day off), I had to wake up bright and early and I found myself extremely hungry as well. Sleepy and hungry, what a double whammy. But I was so happy Morning Donut Cafe has a drive-thru because there was nothing better for me on this morning (well, maybe breakfast in bed or sleeping in) than ordering food from the comfort of your own car. Besides their delicious donut holes, I also ordered a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant. Though I finished it, I don't think I will order it again because the croissant wasn't my definition of a croissant. I wanted it to be more flaky and more buttery (call me Anna Deen). I'll try a kolache on my next morning visit ;)

Sausage Bacon Kolache
Nnokwanda N.

The very 1st time I ate here I had the mini kolaches, glazed donuts and a boudin kolache. It was pretty good that I wanted to go a 2nd time. The 2nd time glazed donuts wasn't ready and there were no mini kolaches yet. So we got sausage with bacon and boudin kolaches. I didn't enjoy the bacon and wished I had got a plain sausage kolache. I'm not eager to go again but might.

I ran in to grab a coffee during a gas stop and was greeted promptly. There were a lot of pastry options, but I just wanted coffee. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was super sweet. I didn't enjoy my drink because it was so sweet. The employee was really nice, I was given free donuts that were warmed before they were give to me. They were light and delicious. I would say go, even if just for the pasties.

A lovely array of simple donuts

Good vibes. Friendly staff. Owner is really nice. Donuts are good and simple. Coffee on point. Decor motivational. Conveniently located in HOUSTON near the tollway. Modern and enjoyed the ambiance. Stop in and enjoy a donut you deserve it

I love going to coffee shops that have my name in them ;)…read more No but for real, Yemeni and Turkish coffees and teas anyways hit the spot. Pair that with my love of pistachio, and you've got a match made in heaven. This place looks ethnic, modern and clean. There's a painting of a woman on the wall who stares over us as we eat cake. We were lucky enough to come on a gloomy afternoon, my favorite a way to go to a coffee place. I tried a multitude of desserts, and they were all good. We also had four separate drinks, and they were all good. The cheesecake, milk cake and honeycomb bread were all good. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Overall- would definitely go here again!

The pistachio latte was not overpowering at all and you could definitely taste the nuttyness! Not overly sweet which is perfect for me! The pistachio mousse was very thick and rich. My party of friends all enjoyed sampling them both. Our group also tried their Mufawaar medium roast coffee with cardamom & cream (not shown) per the cashier's recommendation. We really did appreciate his rundown of the menu. However, the iced Mufawaar was VERY watery much to our disappointment. Very much everyone in my group's least favorite. The lotus milkcake (not shown) was delicious Interior I will say I was impressed at how big the space was. Very clean, ideal for some work / study. Beautiful patio outside if this Texas heat wasn't so terrible! Overall I have to give it a 4.2~/5. I think their cake selection is great along with their pistachio featured items

In…read morefact, I recently recommended it to a family of seven, and now they tell me they enjoy it regularly. The owners are friendly and remember my chai tea latte with half almond milk and half water upon seeing me. Their employees are always friendly and pleasant. The hospitality is a welcome from so many other places who barely utter basic courtesies like 'hello' and the rare 'thank you'. Their iced and hot chai tea lattes taste like Christmas! They are rich in taste and spice, and heads above Starbucks. There's no chemical taste. We've tried the chocolate croissants, and they are delicious, flaky and buttery goodness as are the ham and cheese croissants. The smell of fresh baked croissants in the air is the best greeting throughout the day. The only small con is sometimes the cleaning (chemical) smell is a bit overpowering, but I have a sensitive nose and stomach when it comes to cleaning products mixed with food smells. If a low or no odor product could be used, that would be perfect! The location is convenient and the music is a great mix of retro, Italian, lounge-chill, etc. The atmosphere is lovely, peaceful and simultaneously energizing with an inviting covered outdoor space for cool weather relaxing. We've played the bean bag toss game they put outside, and it was fun! We've met new friends as it's an ice breaker activity. Finally, you can earn points for free drinks. That's a win! This Minuti is my favorite spot hands down for warm welcomes, tea, coffee, croissants, sandwiches, treats and delicious coconut gelato! Divertirsi! (Have fun! Enjoy yourself!)

Trying to order was a little challenging. There was one menu by the front door that we were…read moredirected to, but then there was a different menu at the register with pieces of white paper covering parts of it. It would have been much easier if we'd been directed to that menu first. There were also photos of drinks displayed on the counter without prices, so we had to ask about each one. The staff had to enter every drink into the computer just to tell us the price. We ordered two drinks, a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon blueberry loaf, and two macarons. We received the drinks and macarons, but nothing else. We waited about 10 minutes, assuming someone would call us when the rest of our order was ready, but no one ever did. I finally went back to the counter, and the employee said, "Oh, I thought the other girl did it." While we were waiting, I had plenty of time to look around. The tables, booths, and chairs were dirty. There was food on the tables and floor, and the front door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. One employee was sitting on what appeared to be her personal laptop, laughing and watching something instead of helping customers or cleaning. I remember working in food service years ago, and one thing that was drilled into us was, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." That definitely didn't seem to apply here. The food itself was okay, but having to remind the staff to finish our order was disappointing. You're asked to tip before you've received any service, yet everything is self-service and no one checks on you. I don't mind self-service at all when it's organized and the restaurant is clean, but this experience felt disorganized from start to finish. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I left more frustrated than impressed.
