This place is absolutely phenomenal. Service was amazing (shout out to Carolyn) and our food was out in no time. Bottomless brunch was 10/10. The drinks were strong and there's lots of variety! I'll be back soon for sure! read more

Worst delivery I have ever received from any restaurant in Brooklyn. Ordered two dishes. They showed up 2 hrs later after many calls to restaurant (very hard to get through) and GrubHub. The food was delivered ice cold, the tortillas had turned to mush, and the order was missing the sides. The restaurant refused to refund despite all that. I'd avoid them if I were you. read more

Had the pleasure to enjoy 2 Sunday brunches at this Brooklyn eatery. The drink special and selection is second to none and their food is outrageous top to bottom. Love their arepas, its genuine and has the feeling of being a family recipe passed down generations. read more

Really had an amazing time catching up with a great friend while sipping on delicious Coconut Mojitos, Guacamole and Tacos. I ordered three tacos. First the Philly cheese steak taco which had flavorful chunks of meat with pieces of green pepper and onion. Then on to the Coconut shrimp taco drizzled with pieces of mango and sweet sauce. Last was the Quinoa Avocado taco which was a pleasant surprise filled with flavor and texture. This is "the place" to hang and have a couple of drinks or maybe more than a couple! Then there's a large selection of bites where you can accommodate your appetite. Definitely will go back for more. It was a pleasure seeing George after being an original patron of Bogota when they first started out. read more

So I came back and this time the experience was a lot better. The server was great and my god isn't it crazy that the best mac and cheese I've had is from a Mexican restaurant?? The sangrita is probably my favorite drink. read more

Would recommend this restaurant only if ordering pickup or ordering through a delivery app -- I do not recommend using their website to place an order. My food came a full hour after the expected delivery time at checkout (which was almost two hours after ordering) and by the time my food was delivered it was extremely cold & was not a meal that I could reheat on my own. read more

Unfortunately I can't comment on the food because I never got the chance to taste it. I, and 3 friends, had a 1:15 reservation for brunch on Saturday at Miti Miti. We were told we had to wait just a few minutes because they were waiting for some of the tables to get up. At 1:30, I double checked with the hostess about the wait and again I was told they were cleaning up a table for us. We finally saw a table (for 4) become available, but it was given to a couple who put their names down on the list without a reservation before we arrived. I guess it was pointless to make a reservation in advance because that was evidence that it didn't matter. We were seated at 1:40, so hungry and excited to eat from looking at other people's plates. The couple at the table next to us wasn't pleased with the long wait for their meals but we overheard a waitress tell them the kitchen was backed up. We ordered our first round of drinks, our meals and chips and salsa to hold us over while we wait for our entrees. I really liked my drink (guava mimosa), while my friends thought they're drinks (papaya and mango mimosas) were a bit too sweet. It took a while before we saw our waitress again. We ordered our next round (trying different flavors) and thought "wait, these drinks are going to have come faster!" At the rate we were going we were expecting to have 3 drinks within the time frame allowed for the boozy brunch. After waiting about 30 minutes for our entrees, we asked our waitress about how long the meals would take (debating if we should get more chips), she let us know that she would check. She left came back and let us know that the kitchen was wrapping up on our plates and it would be a few more minutes. After another 30 minutes, an hour from when we sat, with only 2 drinks and no food, we asked the waitress again to check on our meals. Now we're getting hangry. She checked and came back to let us know that the kitchen lost our tickets and never prepared our meals (the same meals that 30 minutes ago we were told were almost finished...) She offered to give us free chips and salsa. Nah, how about you get us a manager instead. We were told the manager had to run to the store and that she can give her a call, but that we can have 2 of the boozy brunch deals comped -_- 15 minutes later the manager got back, avoided us for a few minutes and came to our table expressing apologies for the service. After some back and forth about what they could do for us, we were able to walk away without paying. Unfortunately, we weren't the only group with complaints. Because of previous reviews we were excited about trying Miti Miti but I don't think that the entire staff is capable of managing the large crowds during brunch. Waiting for food is expected at any busy brunch location but the first time the waitress went to check was the time to put the order in so we wouldn't even know the slip up. read more

Miguel was incredible! Highly recommend boozy brunch at Miti Miti! Great food and great atmosphere, so fun!

Jody was the best. Ask for her or walk away. The food was good, the drinks were bomb!! But again Jody!!!

We had such wonderful weather the other evening that we decided to take the dog and find a place to have a cocktail outside. I had been eyeing Miti Miti for a while so we headed there. Thankfully there was an outside table still (it was steadily filling up inside) and we took a seat after asking if it was ok. I love the drinks on happy hour. Sangritas are my favorite type of drink--frozen margaritas with sangria (I prefer red). We ordered two with a guac and chips to share, which was 12 for an order. Thankfully it was fresh and tasty. Chips come with a salsa which was nice but I like a little more spice normally. Tacos are anywhere between 50 cents to 2 bucks off. I got a crispy chicken taco and Chuck ordered the gringo. Both were pretty tasty though I liked the gringo better. I was already full at that point but I am definitely going to try the steak taco next time. Our server was very nice but seemed to be the only one working this evening. She was running all over but was able to keep up with our orders (Way to go Brook(e)! Not sure if you spell it with an end E or not!). I definitely plan on coming back for brunch. The menu is very extensive and you can have 1 1/2 hours AYCD for 25 or 30, depending on what drinks you want. Sign me up. read more

The food was great and the venue is fun! My only critique is that service was pretty slow. They include a 20% tip.

Such yummy food BUT beware how loud it is. If you want to go to a party for brunch this place is so you. I prefer to hear the people I'm eating with. The vibe is like being in a club. The food is exceptionally high standard for Caribbean fare which is usually super yummy but sloppy put together. This place executes food and plating with high restaurant standards. But seriously don't eat here sober. It sucks to shout if you're not brunch drunk. read more

I love Miti Miti. I've frequently come here over the year and they never disappoint. Nice sized portions and delicious cocktails. This is great for group dining or a fun date! read more

Small spot which is good for a few friends. I stopped in late as I normally see its crowded. I must say the coconut margarita is on point. Haven't found a good one in YEARS since Bambaleo(closed). I had wings, lobster guacomole and empanadas shared across the table. Food is great. Didnt make it to entrees which I hope are as good as the appetizers. Be back soon. read more

We went to Miti today and had a blast. We'd been a year ago and had Ayana as a waitress. She was our waitress again and we love herrrrr. She's funny and friendly. It was basically our anniversary. Boozy brunch is lit! read more

Although I absolutely love the food and the drinks here and one of the best Mexican i had in NYC , i had to give it 4 starts only because of the service. I had a large group with me for Boozy Brunch on a Sunday. The bill was almost $700. The female waiter who served us was not nice and accommodating! It was very loud so when my friend was letting her know her order, myself and other assumed the waiter did not hear her because of how loud it was. I proceeded to politely ask her if she heard the order and the waitress response wAs very rude and standoffish as if i think she is stupid. She opened up her eyes boldly at me and gave me a look that made me feel so u comfortable. I was not trying to insult her. Their needs to be proper employee professional training, especially customers who drove very far and paid a $700 bill! read more

We recently had Miti Miti cater my husband's 40th birthday. From my first communication with Elena, I knew they were going to be fantastic. She was super easy to communicate with, helped us to figure out how much food should purchase, and never tried to push us into buying more than we needed. On the day of the party, Elena and her bartender were incredibly helpful. They set up, served, and cleaned up after it was over- you would have never known we had a big party there! Besides the excellent service, the food was also phenomenal!!! Everything was delicious (favorite being the maduros- plantains stuffed with chicken). The pico was also AMAZING. The empanadas were DELISH. Our friends were in food heaven. I was so glad that we had leftovers the next day, I think I ate them for all three meals. If you are having a party, do yourself (and your friends) a favor and call these people!!! read more

We love Bogata so we tried it. Wow, the food was so low quality, we couldn't finish it. We had a chicken quesadilla and egg/chorizo tacos. Lousy, uncreative, lacking flavor, utterly disappointing. These are easy dishes, and in my experience, all the local food trucks provide much more superior food. Plus, it took along while to arrive. These experiences are anger producing. $40 for what? We'll never go back there. read more

First time here but the food is great, the ambiance is great and the drinks are strong. Our server Carolyn was amazing at making sure we were good ! Not to mention, there are really cool sugar skulls everywhere ! Hidden gem ! read more

Have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal I had at Miti Miti. I had an amazing time. Great drinks, the margaritas are the best I have ever tried. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out or a friends night out. I had the best service by the waiter Luis. He gave great customer service. Thanks waiter Luis for great service. I would highly recommend to go. read more

I visited this place during the weekend for brunch and everything was awesome!! really enjoyed our service by ximena :) she was charismatic and had a great costume and was very accommodating for our requests

The service was really bad today. We waited 1/2 hour for our order to be taken and only when I went to the front to complain that the waitress had taken other peoples order before ours, were they able to finally take our order. The tacos kept falling apart, my drink was way too strong and it was just very disappointing. read more

This was just A OK. Honestly my interest was definitely piqued when I heard about their lobster guacamole and lobster quesadilla. I don't venture out in my own borough enough so I made the trip here last night. There was no wait and was seated right away. Inside is really cute and bright with the yellow walls and Mexican day of the dead decor. There was plenty of people in here but you know Thursday's starts the weekend. The dish I came here for the lobster quesadilla, left me very disappointed. Under the tortilla, there was too much going on. There was jack cheese (no problem) cilantro, caramelized onions some garlic on chopped up lobster claw meat. Lobster is so delicate you don't need much seasoning to cook it. I loved the avocados in it. It could be really good without all that other additives. My fries were good. I had the grilled chicken nachos which tasted good. I liked the crunch from the jicama that was different from any nachos I ever tried from any Mexican establishment. I did not like paying $5 for grilled chicken and getting about 1 oz of cubed chicken on my plate. My other gripe was paying $2 for guacamole that was 2 oz in a portion cup. Avocados are in season now so basically $1 an ounce? My drink was a green sangria the taste was wonderful. I would rate it a 10 but so was my sobriety if I'm going to drink I would at least expect to be somewhat tipsy? I would come back if in the area. read more

I usually love this place but I came here one night after being a regular customer and it left a bad taste in my mouth. We waited 1 hour and 15 mins for 4 tacos. We were told that our ticket got lost and they've expedited our ticket. We said ok and it took another 20 mins. They did give us chips on the house but I was starved. Now I know why they have skeletons all around the restaurant... they were people here at one time waiting for their lost food. I usually would only need one drink for my meal but today I had to pay for 2 because I was here for so long. Don't come on an empty stomach... you'll end up on their wall as a prop. read more

Miti Miti Modern Mexican - Me on the wall waiting for my tacos after 1 hour and 15 mins. - Latin American Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The food was good from what I could remember. I usually come here for my obsession with mojitos. They're always on point here-strong and delicious. It's very loud, for me that's a huge downfall. I think I said "huh" and "what" to my girlfriend a dozen times throughout dinner because the music was so loud. It's good music but they can time it down a notch or two and the ambience would still be upbeat and fun. The guacamole is excellent. A little salty though so if you have high cholesterol, don't eat it. I truly enjoyed the coconut shrimp tacos. They have a great fusion of flavors. The different textures and ingredients on the tacos married well. I was not a huge fan of the friend chicken tacos. I actually even dissembled my taco and just ate the chicken itself. Prices are reasonable and the service is mediocre. It does get super busy after 7 so your patience levels have to be high in order to eat here and get the attention of your waiter. They seem to do the best they can though, enjoy! read more

Very cute restaurant. Very nice service. I think the issue I am having is that I am comparing their taste to BOGOTA's taste. Miti Miti is basic. It doesn't have anything that made me say "wow this is delicious". I had a green sangria, it was okay nothing special. The mahi mahi was a little dry or overcooked. The Miti Miti nachos were good but again it was something basic. I had the fried ice cream and I must say it was not something I would order again. I do not think I would go back to Miti Miti but like I said their staff was very pleasant. read more

Moses and Brooke were amazing. Food was fresh and delicious! I will be coming back for more :)

I had saved this place and was excited to try it today. We walked in a party of 2 adults and a 10 month old. I asked the hostess who told me the waiting time would be 5-10 min. As minutes pass by she goes on accommodating two couples and a group of three friends ahead of us ( they came in all after us ). I thought maybe they had a reservation and ask the hostess and she goes : no its a first come first served! So she had three tables, all of the them were suitable for the three of us and she proceeded to give them to people who came in after us! I am not asking for a special treatment because I am with a baby but at least practice what they preach: first come first served! Super annoyed! Did not try the food as this ruined my mood, but the service was rude and unprofessional! read more

In the area for Brooklyn Pride and in the mood for a Latin vibe, a few friends and I dropped by Miti Miti for dinner before the parade. And between the upbeat music and the tasty fare, I'm a fan! Starting out with a round of drinks, I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt. While not the best one I have had in the city, it was nonetheless good- and I later ordered a second. We then ordered the coconut mango wings and the bacon-wrapped dates to share as appetizers before ordering our entrees. The wings, just a tad too sweet, were hot and crispy, and the dates were tasty as well. One of my friends and I shared an order of the shrimp quesadilla as an entree, which was also good. And my other two friends seemed to enjoy their orders of the cheese quesadilla and the steak tacos, too. Furthermore, the service was both friendly and efficient. I'd definitely go back! read more

I came here for a happy hour that I was hosting for my MeetUp group. Prior to that I had never been to the restaurant but I was super excited given the online reviews and dare I say it but this place was nothing short of excellence. My experience was awesome! The staff is super attentive and friendly, generally when I go out to eat the busboys never say anything but that wasn't the case at Miti Miti! The food was delicious, I absolutely loved the Carne Asada taco (thanks Ellie for the recommendation )!!! I would've given this place 5 stars but I wasn't crazy for the crispy chicken taco it was mediocre and lacked seasoning, they should add some flavor options to spruce it (I.e., bbq buffalo and so forth). I definitely will be going back to check out more of their tacos. Based on other reviews brunch could be a good option as well! read more

Love the decor at this place!! The restaurant is decked out in a day of the dead theme and the atmosphere was very lively. Came here on a Friday for dinner with some friends and really enjoyed our time. There are also so many unique taco options on the menu. I ended up ordering the coconut shrimp and carne asada tacos, both recommended by our server Brooke. We also got guac for the table to dip with the complimentary chips and salsa they give. Wow, everything was amazing and so fresh!! Brooke was also very attentive; she refilled our chips before we even asked! The other staff members were also very attentive and our water cups were never empty. At the end of our meal, Brooke even gave us frozen sangria margaritas on the house! Would definitely be back for the delicious food and great customer service! read more

Great happy hour, cute decor, close enough to Barclays and yummy cocktails make this a no brainer meet-up spot with friends in south brooklyn. Great for large groups too. I have yet to see it crowded here, which hopefully doesn't mean business is slow. It's a good addition to the hood! read more

Brunch sucked!! Our waitress was very rude and really only cared about adding extra charges to our tab. I guess since they have an mandatory 20% gratuity that a bigger check gives her a bigger tip. Side note this grown ass women is serving tables with multiple hickies in her neck. She didn't let us know we were approaching our drink time limit. Just walks over and says that was your last drink (the drink I was sipping ) . She didn't inform us of our side option for the chicken and waffle entree. Just gave us fruit. I asked for the sausage and she tried to charge extra for it . We didn't even touch the fruit. I didn't get her name because she didn't give it. She's the worse. Shes the only Afro Latina / black looking waitress with honey blonde weave. I'm a black women so this is in no way a race issue. She's just a hot mess and bad for business. Oh and the food the worst chicken and waffle platter I have ever had! I really want to know what's the big deal about their brunch. My experience sucked! read more
