Chicken is amazing as are the fries! Tiny space so off hours are my recommendation. The owners love their chicken and source it from the best. I dream about when I can go again, it's 30 miles from where I live but it's worth the drive read more

Finally was able to try this charming rotisserie chicken restaurant. Although the drive was 40 minutes, after tasting the food here...,worth every minute! The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and of great quality. We also had the fries and the market salad. The fries were thick cut, perfectly salted and the right amount of crunch but still soft on the inside. And last but definitely not least, the salad. The greens were fresh and the creamy vinaigrette dressing was by far the best I've had. We will definitely be back again and again. We had NO problem paying for the excellent quality and the hospitality that we received from this establishment!! The owner was very kind and welcoming. my family left full and satisfied. We didn't FEEL RIPPED OFF by anyone lol. At the end of the day, it's not that serious. I'm here for the food. read more

My wife recently read about his place and after reading some reviews we decided to give it a try. First off the owner Justin couldn't have been nicer when asking about our experience. Let me tell you the menu is limited but everything was amazing! Chicken sandwich was bursting with flavors with a little heat! Comes on a bread roll that was toasted it still soft inside. Salad was fresh and amazing homemade dressing. Actually everything is locally grown, baked and raised. Don't leave a ton of reviews but this one definitely deserves my time ! Excellent!!! Thanks again Justin read more

Being from Miami you know what good Peruvian chicken tastes like. Sad to say I was excited about this place but I left hungry and underwhelmed. Was hoping they also would have the classic yellow sauce but they did not. Fries weren't great either. I will not be back, continuing my search for good Peruvian chicken read more

Wow I can't believe what I just saw .. it's 29$ for half a chicken !!! That's 60$ for a full chicken .. this is the most expensive restaurant I have seen in a min .. it's rotisserie chicken dude .. what are you doing for 60$ And fries 8$ so for a chicken and fries it's 70+ with tip ..holy moly ! Granted it was really good and so were the fries but cmon man .. I don't get what's going on in this industry .. to be fair this isn't the only place but def the most egregious I have seen . And they ran out of chicken they only had dark meat and this is how big it was read more

Mister Pio - Quarter chicken - Peruvian Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Mr. Pio is amazing. Totally tender bird, lovingly brinded and crisply finished. Paired with tender and fresh greens and fries that straight out of the frier are mind blowing . What more could there be? If you haven't been, go, if you have go again. Mr. Pio gets it right every time. read more

My quarter dark chicken was dry and very small. I talked to the employee and he said he they would take care of it, they did. This piece was a bit moist but not even like Costcos' chicken, which is very moist. He came back to check on me and told me sometimes the chickens from this afternoon are still there, served dry and he apologized. Why would a restaurant do that? The taste was good but serving size was not enough, salad was OK, and they want tips but aren't what you call waiters and waitresses. All in all after walking out smelling like smoke, I'd say give it a try, your experience may be better than mine. It is more of a take-out place. read more

We ordered different things and shared. Everything was tasty. Very good staff. I highly recommend

Overpriced hipster place with okay chicken. The owners seem to hate their clientele based on these prices (over $50 for a rotisserie chicken) and, if so, I might change my review, because that would be hilarious. Two stars because it wasn't bad or anything, but the pricing is insulting to humans (hipsters excluded from that category). read more

This place is delicious. If you're looking for an easy place to pick up some great chicken and top tier fries, stop in. The staff was super friendly too. read more

Absolutely amazing! I can't wait to come back. Everything was so tasty! I wish they sold their salsas!!

I knew I was in for a treat the minute I walked in and was immediately greeted with the scent of smoldering firewood and rich spices. From the minimally yet elegantly furnished dining area to the giant live fire Josper rotisserie that easily prices out on par with a brand new, fully equipped 3 series, Mister Pio let's guests know that the food here is serious business. The menu is very simple; several different portion sizes of their freshly roasted and grilled Peruvian chicken, served with a mixed green salad and your choice of two sauces from the three available. Fries come in two sizes and are available as an add-on option, as are a selection of bottled beverages, including Mexican cane sugar Coke and Inca Kola, an interesting looking and tasty Peruvian cola. And that's it! Or at least, that's it for now. I've no doubt that as Mister Pio's popularity grows, it's menu will see some additions, but for right now it's goal is concentrated on offering a truly authentic Peruvian polleria experience and that's something it does VERY well. I opted for the half-chicken size, a portion I knew was going to be too big for me to finish in one sitting, but I wanted to try both the white and dark meat. The chicken was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly with crisped skin and a succulent juiciness throughout. The flavor of the spice blend, along with the subtle notes of wood smoke worked wonderfully together, with neither component overpowering nor outshining the other. For the sauces, I chose the Aji Verde and the Aji Rocoto, their mild and hot options respectively. Both sauces paired well with the chicken, and the Aji Rocoto definitely had a nice kick to it. The salad was tossed with Aji Amarillo Ginger Vinaigrette, with the greens sourced from local Steadfast Farms in Mesa, and was a nice accompaniment to the richly flavored chicken. I paired the meal with the small order of fries, which was actually a pretty large portion. Mister Pio uses Kennebec potatoes for their fries, which are known, particularly in the culinary world, as being a superior potato for French fries. These were light and fluffy inside, with that satisfyingly crispy crunch on the outside, seasoned with sea salt. Perfection! Altogether, the meal clocked in at $34 before tax, and could have easily fed two people for lunch. I'm very happy to have this spot in the neighborhood, and look forward to seeing Mister Pio become a local treasure. Speaking briefly with the owner and chef, it's clear that his commitment to sourcing the best, high-quality ingredients, with fresh and authentic preparation, is what drives him and his restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and giving Mister Pio a try! read more

On a short vacay in Scottsdale we lucked into finding Mister Pio. Enticing aromas greet you in the parking lot. The menu is simple, and the food is delicious! Staff is courteous and friendly (including, presumably, Mister Pio himself, the grillmaster)! They appear to be just getting started so the space is as yet modestly appointed...but I feel like this place will become legendary one day. It's that tasty! read more

We showed up with a youth soccer team with 20 people and they were able to get us in with the best service and food imaginable!! This is definitely a place I'll try to come back to the next time I'm in phoenix. AMAZING read more

Food is delicious with the different sauces. The ambiance is cozy. Really friendly owners. I can't wait to go back for more.

Amazingly unique rotisserie chicken, the sauces were insanely delicious and heightened the flavor of the perfectly seasoned and cooked chicken. The fries reminded me of the frites Id get in Europe, crunchy on the outside but still fluffy inside. read more

This might be the best chicken in the valley. I've been here 3 times in the last week. Might go back 3 times this week.

Cannot rave enough about this place. It's SO delicious. I could literally eat it every day! It's so simple - just chicken, salad and fries. So good! I will add though, that it is VERY expensive for what you're getting. But it's still 5 stars for me because I'm willing to pay for it because it's that good. I do hope they can stay in business though, because most people aren't willing to pay that much for chicken. read more

This place is delicious! The chicken and fries were 10/10. We will definitely be back.

Delicious!!! Our multi-generational family scoffed it down and we are not a chicken-eating group. Clean, locally sourced ingredients cooked with skill. Incredibly flavorful and not overly salted - cooked to perfection. Fries - satisfyingly crispy. Refreshing salad and dressing. Tasty sauces. Great customer service. We'll be making the 2 hour round trip again! read more

I really didn't understand what the big deal was and I still don't. Took awhile for me to figure out but basically this place is for the people that haven't had great rotisserie chicken experience from other parts of the world. The chicken is good. That's what happens when you do it rotisserie style. The spices? Meh. The prices are INSANE for what is being offered. Menu is very limited. Wouldn't mind going back but not at $15 for 2 pieces of chicken. There's nothing special about that oven. But if you come from a dry toast kind of culture and have no idea how to cook for yourself then maybe this place is right for you. read more

INCREDIBLE PERUVIAN ROAST GOURMENT CHICKEN made with antibiotic free high quality chicken. The half chicken was delicious and the French fries/homemade were crispy outside and pillowy inside, unbelievable and delicious. Best Roast chicken and gourmet fries in all of Phoenix!! read more

Mister Pio has mastered the items on his very small menu indeed! Not the cheapest meal but the quality will bring us back again! 1/2 chicken, small fries was enough for 2 of us. Comes with a very fresh, lightly dressed delicious dressing and 2 sauces for chicken. We even ate the skin which we never do. Great seasonings! read more

Truly the BEST chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chicken was incredibly tender and flavor was amazing. They have one of the best ovens in the country. You have to ask them about it. All of the ingredients are so thoughtfully included. This is anything but standard fare. If the food isn't already award-winning, it should be! Excellent customer service. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Oh wow Mister Pio's is so good. Fries were good with great Peruvian sauces. Salad is refreshing with beets and pecans. Rotisserie chicken is absolutely amazing, best I have ever had. But you HAVE to try the chicken sandwich. I'm not big into sandwiches but Mister Pio absolutely killed it with their sandwich! I couldn't describe it if I tried, so good. Definitely going to be back whenever I'm in the area! Service and staff were cool. Great people! read more

Just picked up couple of quarter dark pieces and absolutely loved it. Juicy, spicy and tender. Small hole in the wall place but very delicious. Please go out and support them. I hope they do well and survive the the hot summer. read more

The chicken is amazing and sauces wonderful, though my favorite was the medium spicy. The chicken doesn't need any sauce though but get it any way as it's great for dipping their yummy fries. The salad was a nice refreshing complement to the meal. The staff was super friendly when ordering and serving the food and the chef/cook (maybe owner) came by to check on our meal. I look forward to going back and trying a sandwich! read more

I hate to give this place 1 star because the 3 things that they serve is very good. Chicken. Fries. Salad. But 1 and 1/2 chicken and large fries was almost $100!!! I can't come back here and pay that much money for chicken. I can't see how they have repeat customers. Is there that many people out there willing to pay that much for chicken? Maybe if they drop their prices they will have more customers and make more money in the long run. read more

EAT HERE NOW. This tiny place is a jewel! The chicken (pollo a la brasa) is amazingly flavorful and juicy. I had the sandwich and fries. The fries were thick and crispy on the outside, pillowy potato goodness on the inside. The bread is perfect. They get it from Nice Buns. I wish they sold bread to the public. It gives Noble a run for its money. The woman working the register (owner?) was so nice. Just an all around great experience. read more

We drove all the way from north Phoenix, and every second was worth it. The food was incredible. The chicken is well spiced and perfectly cooked, the sauces are flavorful, and the fries are some of the best I've ever had. Their menu is small, but that's how you know they're doing it right. Cute dining space and great service. Cannot recommend Mister Pio enough and can't wait to be back! read more

The Chicken was outstanding!!! Great flavor, the spice was the best. The Fries are beyond excellent. I will go back again and again. Loved the sandwich. The greens on the side were a nice touch. The service was great, the folks there are pleasant to talk to and very helpful. I am going to recommend Mister Pio to everyone I know. Ok here's how I feel- the food was really really good. We split a whole chicken, salad and fries, but wow $70 was a lot for a to go dinner. I would love to pick this up 1x a week for a quick dinner, and I think something like $50 including the fries would be the compelling price point. read more
