We passed by Miso Mazza one day and immediately we were drawn to their aesthetic. We came across their restaurant week menu and figured it was the best time to try them out! We popped in on a Friday evening and it was decently busy. They had been open for maybe 4 months or so and they were still working out some kinks but nevertheless, staff was very friendly and food was really good! My favorite of the night, hands down, was the miso matcha strawberry margarita! I wouldn't hesitate to come back just for that drink alone! You're on fed hill, so expect it to be fed hill pricey. I personally wouldn't frequent this establishment on the daily because it is on the pricier side, but i wouldn't count this place out for a special date night or girls night occasion.

I'm loving the hand rolls here and went back a second time for it. It's a pretty restaurant right on Atwells Ave. Both times we went, it was noon so definitely wasn't busy. Second time was a snowstorm. Foods I enjoyed: crispy rice with truffle, truffle fries, wagyu stick appetizer (first time only...second time came out cold). Shrimp appetizer (bc they ran out of prawns) but it was the perfect cook and delicious sauce to accompany it. The Wagyu entree with parsnip puree was very scrumptious and I'd order it again. All the hand rolls were delicious: Wagyu, toro, scallop...all of them. Wasn't a fan of the pesto pasta bc to me, it wasn't green enough and needed more pesto. But their yuzu cheesecake dessert makes up for that! It also helps that the owner is very sweet and friendly. Will definitely be back to sample more hand rolls.

Had a great pre-birthday dinner here. I love the interior and the way they designed. It's intimate and welcoming. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the food and cocktails, especially the crispy rice. I'll be back to try more from the menu.

Came in for a girls dinner. It was amazing! The menu is really interesting. We tried a couple of the pastas and lots of the hand rollls. The server was so friendly and very funny! We got there about 7 and it was pretty empty but it was hopping when we left! The price is a little high but the quality seems really good.

Food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Service was great, and the vibe inside was amazing! Will totally be back, not a single complaint!

The Drinks are great. The Lychee Martini is my new favorite and it's only $12. The sushi hand rolls are delicious and are only $8. The bartending staff is super friendly and attentive. This is a new "go-to" for me. I highly recommend this establishment.

A fantastic fusion of two of my favorite cuisines -- Japanese and Italian. We were fortunate to try it during Providence Restaurant Week when they offered a lovely three-course prix fixe meal for only $35. I started with the Toro Truffle Crispy Rice that I paired with a lovely sake and also tried my friend's wagyu skewer with chimichurri sauce. Both were excellent! We both had the pappardelle Miso Mozza al ragu, which was finished with a rich fois gras butter. The yuzo cheesecake was a perfect ending. The restaurant had a small but nice list of sake, wine, beer, and cocktails to match the Japanese and Italian dishes. Both the atmosphere and the service were lovely. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Happy hour deal is amazing! Got to try so many amazing dishes from the menu. The crispy rice tuna starter was amazing as were the hand rolls. More filling than I thought it would be! Each hand roll had a unique flavor definitely worth a try and the cocktails were delicious as well.

Newly opened, Miso Mozza is a Japanese, Italian fusion restaurant, incorporating both Japanese and Italian flavors in its menu. The Uni Carbonero was so delicious. Uni and Ikura (salmon eggs) mixed in with the luxurious carbonara sauce. The noodles cooked to a perfect al dente. The Hamachi (Yellow Tail) crudo was another standout. Topped with jalapeño.and a yuzu dressing that was bright and clean. So good! Service was excellent and everyone pitched in to make sure our dinner was amazing. Thank you Joy, we had wonderful time.

This is a really cute Italian restaurant on Atwells. I came here on a weekday with some of my girlfriends. We had a great time here, but or so because of the vibes and less so for the food. In December, the interior was decorated so beautifully with a lot of holiday decor, which made for really cozy and great deep spots. We personally did not order any drinks, but it seems like drinks are really popular here. They also try to blend some Japanese cuisine into this restaurant, which I'm not totally sure hit. We got the hand rolls because they looked quite good and the fish looked quite fresh, however, was a bit disappointed with how Much rice there was in comparison to the fish. It almost felt like you couldn't taste the fish as much because of how much rice was in the hand roll. For the pasta, I really love the concept, and it made a lot of sense. However, it just wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be. It was a little bland, But the texture of the pasta was great. They make handmade pasta in the restaurant which you could tell. Overall, would probably come back for a cute date night, however, more so for the vibes and ambience, and would probably get a drink next time!

Sesame Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Scallop Hand Roll Set 3

Service was amazing! I enjoyed the Waygu Skewers, truffle fries, soft shell crab, and the 3 set of handroll sushi (Spicy Tuna, Seasame Salmon, Scallop). All the food was delicious! The spicy tune and salmon roll were so amazing, the scallop roll was my least favorite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well plenty of space to not be overcrowded during a busy Saturday night.

Wow! We always come to Federal Hill and love the food and ambiance and THIS place is a wonderful addition to the area. We came during the Columbus Festival! I loved the toro with crispy rice and the beef skewers were the perfect Asian Italian fusion! We also tried the soft shell crab small plate and it was AWESOME. For dinner we had the Pappardelle with beef ragu and a side of truffle fries!!! I'm so full and so happy with our dinner! The staff is amazing, the food is delish and the location is awesome! I wish we took more pictures! We will make this a regular stop when we come to visit!

The restaurant itself is dimly lit but inviting and hosts a large bar. We were sat close to there. I enjoyed our waitress and the server she was training. They offered prompt and kind service. There was also a meal deal where you could order a selection of sushi rolls, appetizers, or classic rolls for a cheaper price. For my dinner I ordered the spicy scallop, Samurai, and salmon with mango. They also brought out spicy mayo and eel sauce for us. The sushi is fresh, the portions are generous, and the ingredients are high quality. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. We expected to have to wait for a table and we were OK with the 20 minute wait to be seated. Once we were seated, we were able to place an order within 5 to 10 minutes. While all the tables around us received various items from their order, we did not receive any despite placing orders for appetizers a soup, a salad and items from the sushi bar (so not all items were entrées prepared in the kitchen). We asked for an update after an hour and they told us maybe another 10 minutes and then we had to wait another 30. So in total, we waited an hour and a half to be served any food and all the tables around us were completely finished by the time we got any of our food. Not only that, but the servers did not come and check in on us, they did not acknowledge that we had been waiting for a long time, they did not reassure us that our food was about to come out, they did not check and see if there was anything else we needed in the meantime or let us know that the kitchen was backed up... Nothing. We were hoping that the food would be good enough to make up for the terrible service, but unfortunately, that was not the case. It was right in line with any other Japanese food place. Unfortunately we will not be dining here again.

As a disclaimer, raw sushi isn't my favorite. I tend to order cooked sushi, so maybe that makes me a fake sushi fan. Anyways, to keep it safe, we went with the California (avocado and crab stick), Wayland Maki roll (shrimp tempura, avocado with masago, and sweet soy sauce), and veggie pad Thai. The sushi came about only after about 10 minutes, followed by the paid thai 5 minutes later. Each roll brought about 6 pieces. The California was simple but good. I enjoyed the Wayland maki more, but I think I would have liked the sweet soy sauce on the side. The pad Thai was delicious. The veggies were mainly scallions, peppers, bean sprouts and maybe snap peas. I think some carrots and mushrooms would have paired well. We both left very satisfied. There was a price discrepancy on our bill (the menu said $15 and the bill said $17), so just be aware some items might be a little more expensive. They don't have a designated parking lot, but depending on the day and time you go, there is plenty of parking on the street. Our waitress was attentive and brought us everything we needed. They do have TVs and are typically on sports channels. In addition, you can watch them make sushi right before your eyes with their semi open station.

Unagi roll was also disappointing, which is usually an easy roll but was mushy. Crab Rangoons felt pasty, but outer shell had good crunch. Could have been cooked longer cause the center was a bit cold. Yellowtail jalapeño, Momiji volcano, and Korean dumplings were great. Overall the seafood felt like a hit or miss. Some things were fishier than others. Service was decent. Asked about hot teas. Didn't have green tea, was told there was oolong but was given regular black tea... Loved the decorations and space of the restaurant, when we went around 5/6pm it was pretty empty. The biggest issue we had though was there was SOOOO many fruit flies. The whole time we were battling them near our food. Killed 3 while we waited for food. Eventually we asked to move to a different table and told the server about the fruit flies everywhere and when we got to one of the booths there were even more. There really shouldn't be this many fruit flies and if so there is a problem. Likely to not come again.
