Taylor S and I came in for dinner tonight and wow, we had a great experience! Joy, the owner was so wonderful. She is there daily and checks on all tables! She is a wonderful business owner who is loved by staff, regulars and anyone who meets her! Erica was our server and she was wonderful! Kevin made our drinks and they were equally pretty and delicious! A win in my book! The space is absolutely stunning. The paint color makes the space so inviting and I loved the art, the lights, the bar and all of the green chairs. It was so pretty inside! It is certainly an elevated space. The menu is unique and next level. They are serving high quality food and the presentation on everything is amazing. I have never experienced anything like it. We stumbled across this place by accident, but it seemed too unique to pass up. The service was absolutely wonderful. The server walked us through the menu and suggested how to order which was helpful. The tables were a little crowded together but it was a very lovely atmosphere. I liked it and it felt posh but comfortable. The food was delicious, the espresso martini was so yummy and I LOVED the crispy rice and Wagyu skewers. One star off because I believe it's a little overpriced for what you get, particularly the rolls. But overall would recommend. read more

Miso Mozza is a great concept. Very unique fusion restaurant - Japanese and Italian. They do keep both cuisines very separate unlike other fusions restaurants. There are no Italian based rolls, but they do add some Japanese flair on the entrees. The truffle toro crispy rice is incredible, although it's very truffle heavy so if you don't like truffle you may not enjoy the crispy rice as much as I do. The hand rolls are very fresh and unique. The spicy tuna and scallop truffle were standouts. This is a small place, and imagine that it gets busy on weekends so a reservation is probably recommended. Meg M and I came here for dinner last night. The restaurant is beautiful! I love the ceiling, lights, chairs, bar, and artwork. Great first impression. They also offer free valet parking, I was lucky enough to find a street spot. The manager, Joy, greeted us and took care of us to start. She made some amazing recommendations and then Erica continued to wait on us. Everyone was soooooooo friendly and happy to help and make suggestions. We started with delicious drinks and crudo and of course had the crispy toro rice app. The crudo was really fresh and they make their own ponzu and soy sauce too! Even the flowers on the crudo were edible. The crispy toro rice app was truly the perfect bite - crispy, soft, and creamy all in one with great flavors. We tried three different sushi rolls - cod, poached lobster, and shrimp tempura. I've never had a poached lobster hand roll before. It was really great. My friend also had the wagyu beef skewers. I don't eat meat and I was tempted to take a bite. It smelled SO good! She said the beef was delicious and not fatty at all. We then split the salt and pepper calamari pasta dish. The pasta was great and the stewed tomatoes were delicious. We ended the meal with the sorbet trio and two more cocktails. We sat at the bar to talk to Kevin, the bartender. We wanted to get his recommendations for our second round. Kevin was a hoot and so much fun to chat with! Everything from the service, ambiance, food, and drinks was just spectacular. We passed by Miso Mazza one day and immediately we were drawn to their aesthetic. We came across their restaurant week menu and figured it was the best time to try them out! We popped in on a Friday evening and it was decently busy. They had been open for maybe 4 months or so and they were still working out some kinks but nevertheless, staff was very friendly and food was really good! My favorite of the night, hands down, was the miso matcha strawberry margarita! I wouldn't hesitate to come back just for that drink alone! You're on fed hill, so expect it to be fed hill pricey. I personally wouldn't frequent this establishment on the daily because it is on the pricier side, but i wouldn't count this place out for a special date night or girls night occasion. read more

I'm loving the hand rolls here and went back a second time for it. It's a pretty restaurant right on Atwells Ave. Both times we went, it was noon so definitely wasn't busy. Second time was a snowstorm. Foods I enjoyed: crispy rice with truffle, truffle fries, wagyu stick appetizer (first time only...second time came out cold). Shrimp appetizer (bc they ran out of prawns) but it was the perfect cook and delicious sauce to accompany it. The Wagyu entree with parsnip puree was very scrumptious and I'd order it again. All the hand rolls were delicious: Wagyu, toro, scallop...all of them. Wasn't a fan of the pesto pasta bc to me, it wasn't green enough and needed more pesto. But their yuzu cheesecake dessert makes up for that! It also helps that the owner is very sweet and friendly. Will definitely be back to sample more hand rolls. read more

Miso Mozza has very comfortable chairs and a nicely decorated space. It was lovely for a dinner with friends. This was the whole groups first time here, and we ordered a salad and cheesy bread for appetizers. Both were very good. The bread came out in a skillet and tasted good throughout the meal. I got 3 sushi rolls and they were tasty, but they made the interesting choice of not slicing them, which made them more difficult to eat. My husband got the ragu, which was really good, but one of our takeaways was that while the quality was great, the value might not have been. We also shared the cheesecake for dessert, which was also good but on the smaller side. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive, so the evening was lovely overall. read more

Miso Mozza is a Japenese-Italian fusion restaurant. I ordered their crispy rice, wagyu skewers, not a Caesar salad, and tried their pesto, squid pasta, and mac and cheese. I was super intrigued by their carbonara dish too, but at the time of dining, it was $42 (market price) and couldn't justify it. The crispy rice is one of their more popular apps. The savory-sweet sauce coated the tuna and made each bite a fun mix of crunchy and smooth (from the tuna and avocado). The wagyu skewers were also solid! One order comes with three skewers, but I would have found it more valuable if it came with 4-5. The salad was pretty typical of a traditional Caesar but I liked that they offered greens for a healthier option. Among all the pastas, the mac and cheese was the most decadent. It comes with pieces of bacon inside and is topped w bread crumbs. Super yum and recommend sharing with another person! The pesto and squid pastas were less impressive but still tasty. The other half of their menu is dedicated to a fun selection of hand rolls. I opted out this time, but my friends enjoyed. The fish quality is decent but my friends recommend sticking to their pastas. read more

In town from Los Angeles and decided to try this quirky fusion place. The butter crab and truffle scallop hand rolls were standouts. The squid ink pasta with fried calamari was phenomenal. House made pasta was perfectly cooked, and the fresh tomato flavor was bright and inviting. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking! Waiter was personable and attentive. I initially questioned how the concept of Asian-Italian fusion would work, but Miso Mozza did a terrific job with their menu! My friends and I each tried a dish from the Italian side and one from the Asian fusion side. Our favorites were the toro crispy rice, the truffle fries, and the handheld sushi rolls! The spicy tuna one was delicious (: The server was also very friendly and not only checked up on our table often, he also offered to take a picture for our group! Newly opened, Miso Mozza is a Japanese, Italian fusion restaurant, incorporating both Japanese and Italian flavors in its menu. The Uni Carbonero was so delicious. Uni and Ikura (salmon eggs) mixed in with the luxurious carbonara sauce. The noodles cooked to a perfect al dente. The Hamachi (Yellow Tail) crudo was another standout. Topped with jalapeño.and a yuzu dressing that was bright and clean. So good! Service was excellent and everyone pitched in to make sure our dinner was amazing. The Drinks are great. The Lychee Martini is my new favorite and it's only $12. The sushi hand rolls are delicious and are only $8. The bartending staff is super friendly and attentive. This is a new "go-to" for me. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

A fantastic fusion of two of my favorite cuisines -- Japanese and Italian. We were fortunate to try it during Providence Restaurant Week when they offered a lovely three-course prix fixe meal for only $35. I started with the Toro Truffle Crispy Rice that I paired with a lovely sake and also tried my friend's wagyu skewer with chimichurri sauce. Both were excellent! We both had the pappardelle Miso Mozza al ragu, which was finished with a rich fois gras butter. The yuzo cheesecake was a perfect ending. The restaurant had a small but nice list of sake, wine, beer, and cocktails to match the Japanese and Italian dishes. Both the atmosphere and the service were lovely. This is a really cute Italian restaurant on Atwells. I came here on a weekday with some of my girlfriends. We had a great time here, but or so because of the vibes and less so for the food. In December, the interior was decorated so beautifully with a lot of holiday decor, which made for really cozy and great deep spots. We personally did not order any drinks, but it seems like drinks are really popular here. They also try to blend some Japanese cuisine into this restaurant, which I'm not totally sure hit. We got the hand rolls because they looked quite good and the fish looked quite fresh, however, was a bit disappointed with how Much rice there was in comparison to the fish. It almost felt like you couldn't taste the fish as much because of how much rice was in the hand roll. For the pasta, I really love the concept, and it made a lot of sense. However, it just wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be. It was a little bland, But the texture of the pasta was great. They make handmade pasta in the restaurant which you could tell. Wow! We always come to Federal Hill and love the food and ambiance and THIS place is a wonderful addition to the area. We came during the Columbus Festival! I loved the toro with crispy rice and the beef skewers were the perfect Asian Italian fusion! We also tried the soft shell crab small plate and it was AWESOME. For dinner we had the Pappardelle with beef ragu and a side of truffle fries!!! I'm so full and so happy with our dinner! The staff is amazing, the food is delish and the location is awesome! New place alert! Miso Mozza is a must-try! I stopped in based on the reviews. They have a great location right on Atwells Ave in Federal Hill. Between the various lots and streets, there is plenty of parking around. I walked in with my party and was immediately greeted by Joy the owner. She sat us and explained about restaurant and what they do. Our server was Eli, and he served us a bottle of sake that was delicious. In the restaurant there is a very long bar as well as different table and booth options to accommodate any party. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo. It is four pieces of fish that are very flavorful and satisfying. We then moved on to the Soft Shell Crab. While crab is not always my favorite, this tasted very good, and my party enjoyed it a lot. Eli also helped us get a bottle of wine to continue our meal. We then tried the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna Classic Hand Rolls. They are the large hand roll style. The fish shines in both hand rolls and they are so refreshing and tasty. Finally we had the Binchotan Wagyu Skewers. The meat fell apart perfectly and was cooked so well. This restaurant is a must try in the Providence area. The sushi and asian fusion food they serve is extraordinary, and definitely something worth going out of the way for. They are primely located on Federal Hill, and they have pasta! I hope to return in the future and try their pasta. For now, I hope you try them when in Providence! read more

Kevin was the absolute best as a bartender myself i am hard to please but Kevin did it with no struggle at all straight talent and that is hard to find!! From the beginning to end I was so taken care of nothing was left unattended absolutely everything was answered and taken care of before even have to ask.
