    Trio sorbet

Meg M and I came here for dinner last night. The restaurant is beautiful! I love the ceiling, lights, chairs, bar, and artwork. Great first impression. They also offer free valet parking, I was lucky enough to find a street spot. The manager, Joy, greeted us and took care of us to start. She made some amazing recommendations and then Erica continued to wait on us. Everyone was soooooooo friendly and happy to help and make suggestions. We started with delicious drinks and crudo and of course had the crispy toro rice app. The crudo was really fresh and they make their own ponzu and soy sauce too! Even the flowers on the crudo were edible. The crispy toro rice app was truly the perfect bite - crispy, soft, and creamy all in one with great flavors. We tried three different sushi rolls - cod, poached lobster, and shrimp tempura. I've never had a poached lobster hand roll before. It was really great. My friend also had the wagyu beef skewers. I don't eat meat and I was tempted to take a bite. It smelled SO good! She said the beef was delicious and not fatty at all. We then split the salt and pepper calamari pasta dish. The pasta was great and the stewed tomatoes were delicious. We ended the meal with the sorbet trio and two more cocktails. We sat at the bar to talk to Kevin, the bartender. We wanted to get his recommendations for our second round. Kevin was a hoot and so much fun to chat with! Everything from the service, ambiance, food, and drinks was just spectacular. Cant wait to come back.

We passed by Miso Mazza one day and immediately we were drawn to their aesthetic. We came across their restaurant week menu and figured it was the best time to try them out! We popped in on a Friday evening and it was decently busy. They had been open for maybe 4 months or so and they were still working out some kinks but nevertheless, staff was very friendly and food was really good! My favorite of the night, hands down, was the miso matcha strawberry margarita! I wouldn't hesitate to come back just for that drink alone! You're on fed hill, so expect it to be fed hill pricey. I personally wouldn't frequent this establishment on the daily because it is on the pricier side, but i wouldn't count this place out for a special date night or girls night occasion.

I'm loving the hand rolls here and went back a second time for it. It's a pretty restaurant right on Atwells Ave. Both times we went, it was noon so definitely wasn't busy. Second time was a snowstorm. Foods I enjoyed: crispy rice with truffle, truffle fries, wagyu stick appetizer (first time only...second time came out cold). Shrimp appetizer (bc they ran out of prawns) but it was the perfect cook and delicious sauce to accompany it. The Wagyu entree with parsnip puree was very scrumptious and I'd order it again. All the hand rolls were delicious: Wagyu, toro, scallop...all of them. Wasn't a fan of the pesto pasta bc to me, it wasn't green enough and needed more pesto. But their yuzu cheesecake dessert makes up for that! It also helps that the owner is very sweet and friendly. Will definitely be back to sample more hand rolls.

Came in for a girls dinner. It was amazing! The menu is really interesting. We tried a couple of the pastas and lots of the hand rollls. The server was so friendly and very funny! We got there about 7 and it was pretty empty but it was hopping when we left! The price is a little high but the quality seems really good.

Had a great pre-birthday dinner here. I love the interior and the way they designed. It's intimate and welcoming. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the food and cocktails, especially the crispy rice. I'll be back to try more from the menu.

5 hand rolls: spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, butter crab, and truffle scallop. All on point!

In town from Los Angeles and decided to try this quirky fusion place. The butter crab and truffle scallop hand rolls were standouts. The squid ink pasta with fried calamari was phenomenal. House made pasta was perfectly cooked, and the fresh tomato flavor was bright and inviting. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking! Waiter was personable and attentive. Food came out at a reasonable pace. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Providence.

Newly opened, Miso Mozza is a Japanese, Italian fusion restaurant, incorporating both Japanese and Italian flavors in its menu. The Uni Carbonero was so delicious. Uni and Ikura (salmon eggs) mixed in with the luxurious carbonara sauce. The noodles cooked to a perfect al dente. The Hamachi (Yellow Tail) crudo was another standout. Topped with jalapeño.and a yuzu dressing that was bright and clean. So good! Service was excellent and everyone pitched in to make sure our dinner was amazing. Thank you Joy, we had wonderful time.

The Drinks are great. The Lychee Martini is my new favorite and it's only $12. The sushi hand rolls are delicious and are only $8. The bartending staff is super friendly and attentive. This is a new "go-to" for me. I highly recommend this establishment.

A fantastic fusion of two of my favorite cuisines -- Japanese and Italian. We were fortunate to try it during Providence Restaurant Week when they offered a lovely three-course prix fixe meal for only $35. I started with the Toro Truffle Crispy Rice that I paired with a lovely sake and also tried my friend's wagyu skewer with chimichurri sauce. Both were excellent! We both had the pappardelle Miso Mozza al ragu, which was finished with a rich fois gras butter. The yuzo cheesecake was a perfect ending. The restaurant had a small but nice list of sake, wine, beer, and cocktails to match the Japanese and Italian dishes. Both the atmosphere and the service were lovely. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Happy hour deal is amazing! Got to try so many amazing dishes from the menu. The crispy rice tuna starter was amazing as were the hand rolls. More filling than I thought it would be! Each hand roll had a unique flavor definitely worth a try and the cocktails were delicious as well.

I walked into a space that is small and moody, the kind of room that feels lived in rather than designed for a particular aesthetic, and it suited the casual neighborhood feel of the surrounding area. The hot stone bibimbap is the dish that comes up most consistently and with the most enthusiasm. I ordered it and the stone bowl arrived sizzling. The rice along the bottom edges got crispy against the heat in a way that changed the texture and flavor of the whole dish as I ate through it. The beef and mushroom tofu versions are both well executed, and the egg on top finished the bowl correctly. The katsu is a solid option for anyone coming in looking for something more straightforward. I tried it and the breading was crispy while the cutlet inside stayed tender, and the sauce ratio was handled well rather than drowning what was underneath. The gyoza, japchae, seafood pancakes, and yaki soba fill out a menu that covers enough ground to satisfy a table with different preferences. Side dishes are served in modest portions, which was the main point of friction for me since I am used to more generous banchan. Food came out at a good pace and arrived hot. For Korean and Japanese comfort food in Providence, Den Den is a reliable and genuinely satisfying stop.

Amidst being fresh and brightly colored, the dish was quite bland overall. I begged for some elevated heat and flavor profiles-- it definitely fell short and was not spicy in the least. And I'm not a fan of a grease soaked platter... maybe it settled while I drove home but I definitely mopped up oil with a napkin/strained. No bueno. *Sidebar: They have a delicious green sauce that was really tasty and quite frankly saved the dish. I opted for this in place of a sweet Chili Glaze sauce that is provided because I hate sweet flavor profiles in all things dinner! Lol MVP: A wonderfully kind and efficient staff... the order was complete, error free, prepared timely and everyone was very friendly. The best item I purchased was the SANGRIA topped with fresh pineapple! Not the food-- it was all about their in-house beverages. Unfortunately, the set up is almost buffet like with add ons (I paid extra for Pico de Gallo... this also elevated the dish. With the sauce I selected and the pico, the dish literally would have been as bland as a cardboard sandwich). Perhaps it's me-- my palette is pretty elevated and I love heat. Peruvian dishes aren't exactly known for bombastic flavors, spice and heat... but the crowd and utter lack of parking got me excited. Will I return? Perhaps... definitely for a different item (perhaps the roasted chicken everyone was eagerly ordering) and it's a must on the sangria option! But $32.90 for a very basic fried rice mixed with lo mein moment + salad (I tipped $3 amidst to go).... Nah. I'd be lying if I said it was worth it. Lovely aesthetic and energy, however. Chef's energy on the food though was a miss.... Season! The! Food! Sir!

We were sadly in a rush and had to be out by a certain time to catch a show, and our server understood the assignment and got us out on the tight schedule we needed. I'm just sad I had to slurp down my soup so quickly as it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the Snow Mountain Ramen - the creamy tofu broth is unlike anything I've had and was so so unique and delicious. I thought about it for at least a week straight after eating it and am still dying to go back to get more. I also got the Iced Rose Matcha drink - $10 felt too pricy for this but I wanted a fun drink and a little caffeine kick - and again the flavors were unique and tasty. Both my friend and I happened to see someone we knew here - it's definitely a popular spot! It was packed on a Saturday night but it was still pretty quick for us to get a table for 2. Being a downtown city restaurant, the tables feel a bit cramped and I was a little too close to the table next to me for comfort - claustrophobics beware (honestly the soup is worth it though!!) Parking is pretty easy in the lot, although Holy crap they need to fix the potholes / harsh drop-off where it meets the street, and it still was not fully plowed many weeks after the big snowstorm (it's a shared lot so not a Y Noodle specific issue, but just saying). The only thing that was unpleasant were the bathrooms - I get it was a busy weekend night, but they reeked of a litter box the second you stepped in, the floor was dirty and very wet with unknown substances, and the Dyson hand dryer is at such a weird, too high level on the wall that it sprayed water in my face. Everything else was a dream, can't wait to go back! Hopefully the bathrooms were just a fluke.

Come on ... how much does it cost you to actually throw in a tiny cup of hot mustard? I mean, who doesn't eat hot mustard with Chinese food? It used to be that Chinese food was a fast and cheap dinner ... a combo meal here is $18, after substitution. I want to know ... who the fuck has ever actually eaten a shitty chicken wing from a Chinese restaurant without substituting it out? Probably nobody. You eat fresh BBQ chicken wings at a tailgate, not from a dirty restaurant the size of a college dorm room. Of course they know any sane person with working taste buds will substitute nasty skimpy wings for something else ... so they include them in every combo meal knowing people will pony up the extra $1.50 - $2.50. A combo with 3 crab rangoon, 3 chicken fingers (substituted for wings) and an egg roll now costs almost $20. The quality here is on par with a mall food court ... which is to say, not great. Dry AF fried rice with fatty cubes of pork which have the consistency and taste of a pencil eraser. The rice was almost chewy it was so dry amd barely tasted like pencil shavings it was so bland. The crab rangoon was decent ... filled with fake cream cheese and almost no crab. If you are drunk, it's fine and filling. Nothing you couldn't throw in an air fryer from a frozen box. The chicken fingers were okay. Likeky frozen a year ago and thrown into a deep fat frier hours before you ordered and kept under a heat lamp. If you are drunk or high, you'll leave a 4/5 star review. If you are unfortunately sober when you eat this, it will remind you of the dsys you'd scrape your lawn mowing money together and splurge on Chinese food from the mall food court when you were in middle school. Overall, this is buffet food served as fresh made. The fact that everything had almost zero taste ... they better start putting hot mustard and soy sauce in orders unless that want continued 2/3 stars. Bottom line ... I was hoping for good old fashioned American style strip mall Chinese food. What I got ... sucked.

It tasted like one of those instant pho. Horrible! Honestly, as I was eating it, I was getting mad at how bad the food was. And for that price, I am just disappointed. I got no complaints about server or the person taking the order! They were fine but the food was just horrible!

Visited for the first time yesterday with two of my daughters who wanted to check out this Japanese…read moreMarket. Maruichi is bright, clean, and well organized. They have a nice selection of all types of Japanese food, including refrigerated, frozen, and shelf staples. Lots of candy and snacks too, as well as toiletry items. We were there towards the end of the day, so must of the sushi was sold out, but the items remaining in the refrigerated case looked fresh and delicious. Prices were fair for all of the items we looked at, and felt lower to us than other similar markets we've visited. Although I think that the Asian Market off of Elmwood might have lower prices on some items. In addition to the market, there is also a counter where you can order hot foods to eat there or take to go. There is a nice seating area with chairs & tables, and there is also a counter with chairs next to the window. We'll be back earlier in the day next time to see the full selection of sushi.

This PVD location feels like a smaller version of a Japanese supermarket found in Japan. The food…read moreselection is almost the same as what you will find in Japan. From soft drinks, green tea, iced coffee in a can, Japanese pickles, frozen fish and delicacies, etc. The way food isle is arranged, I think, is also very "Japanese" in an authentic way, as if I am back in Japan. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, even though I personally do not need help in translating the Japanese labels to English, whenever my wife goes there, everyone is very helpful. She works only a few blocks away in Downcity, so going there to shop or eat is super easy. She does not have to find parking there when she can simply walk there. We often go there to have our favorite - katsudon and gyudon. She loves these donnuri dishes. I showed her how to make them at home, as they are super simple to make.
