Four of us went to Mins yesterday for lunch. The service and the food was very good. We all had the special, NY steak strip sandwich with a salad. The steak was good quality and cooked how I ordered it and the salad was very good....lots of different veggies, not just lettuce and a tomato. Very hard for me to rate. I have been there several times in the past and enjoyed it. Service is good, food is great and plenty of it. I was there again two days ago and was horrified. Filthy. Brown, gooey stuff running down the tile wall I was facing. Carpet looks like it came out of a well used stable. Untensils subject to close inspection. Same for cups. Too bad. I really like the food but have trouble stomaching it in the surrounding. read more

So I went to this place last Sunday for breakfast at the urging of my out of town friend in for the weekend. I'm new to the area and didn't know where exactly to try as I wanted to go somewhere I hadn't yet been. So my friend Yelped, and offered this place. I was a little nervous as I knew the area and it wouldn't be my first choice (not a bad area, just not WC). After some urging, I agreed and had the best breakfast I think I have ever had (and that is SAYING something)!! Try the fresh squeezed orange juice, and go for the large - it's $3.50, in a LARGE glass ~ and to die for! I had a Jose scramble with a tortilla side - made it into a burrito & HEAVEN! The hash browns are yummy too - brown and golden just the way they should be. The server was delightful and sincere, offering suggestions (not in an up-selling the tab kind of way) that made our breakfast even yummier! Today I went back, had the same thing; just had to check to see if last time was a fluke... It was superb! I got sweet potato fries as a side this time... to die for! Yep, fresh squeezed OJ still fantastic as well!! For two visits, I give it my highest ranking. You gotta try this place when you are in the area! read more

I've passed by this place daily and never stopped in. It's kind of in the corner of a strip mall I rarely go into. I went in with my girlfriend for breakfast this morning. Much to my surprise it is a greasy spoon diner. Perfect! The food is okay. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible either.. Just a typical diner fare. I ate my fill and was fully satisfied. The staff were friendly, if not exasperated. You could tell they were at the end of a busy morning, but they were very helpful and friendly to us. I also love the very eclectic artwork on the walls. Very entertaining. It also looks like they have a couple racks of mugs for regulars. I like that idea that if you come in all the time you can have your own mug. A little touch of neighborly charm. Or I can be completely wrong and it is just an interesting collection of mugs. :-) Either way, the food was good and filling without breaking the bank. And the staff was nice. Now that I've found it is only a few blocks away, I will probably walk here more often when I want the authentic diner breakfast experience. read more

I love Min's Kitchen! The staff is friendly, the large portioned meals taste wonderful, and there are many vegetarian options. The restaurant has a sweet, homey feel and I love that there's a shelf on the wall for patrons' mugs so whenever I come back, I can drink coffee out of my very own mug! read more

We went there yesterday for the first time. The two of us ordered: 2 cans of Pepsi, 2 half order house salads, 1 cup of soup, and one order of Calamari Appetizer. The salad was great and had lots of goodies, the Clam Chowder was good, the Calamari was very good and a generous serving. The service was also good considering there were quite a few customers. My only complaint is the price. Our bill was $26.16 and that seems little pricey for this type of restaurant in a small shopping center. In my opinion, I would rather get normal size serving at a reasonable price. I had to leave some Calamari and salad due to size. Since that salad was served with the dressing already on it and fried calamari cannot be reheated, it seemed wasteful since it could not be taken home. read more

I've been looking for a great breakfast spot since I moved to Concord 6 months ago, and finally found one. Pancakes, linguisa and eggs, homemade hash browns were amazing. Hubby and I went for lunch today based on the rave reviews from some family members and it did NOT disappoint! Had the "Friday only" Dungeoness Crab Melt special - it was delicious and I chose the salad instead of fries. Hubby got the Patty Melt w/Sweet Potato Fries - all the food was great! The salad I chose as my side was the most beautiful side salad I've ever seen at a restaurant - it was huge and had all sorts of yummy stuff on it. Only one server, who was busy but attentive, but if they keep going like they are, she may need some help! We will MOST definitely be back to try their breakfast. I love it when breakfast places refill my coffee cup without having to ask. I don't think I ever had more than two or three sips, and my mug was refilled. Eggs and bacon were good, and the french toast was very fluffy! I will be back again. read more

The whole family went for a late weekend breakfast on a Saturday and really enjoyed our meal. The portions are pretty crazy large and the prices were fair. The service was average and our waitress did make an error with the order but corrected it with no questions asked but it did delay the order so we didn't get to eat all together. I usually would complain if food is over or under seasoned but I was happy that the hollandaise sauce and potatoes were slightly under salted leaving it to me to add the salt to taste. Very good place with lots of menu choices. I will be back soon. read more

This continues to be our favorite breakfast place in the east bay. All the servers are great! The owner is there everytime we've gone and she is always very sweet with our kids. First impressions: clean surroundings, pleasant decor, extensive and well-designed menu, friendly service, great prices for the HIGH quality food. I had the florentine eggs benedict: perfectly poached eggs, plenty of spinach and canadian bacon, tons of extremely tasty hollandaise sauce, delicious hash browns (that did not appear to be an afterthought). My wife had the vegetarian omelette: fresh avocado, ripe tomatoes, delicately-cooked eggs. The portions are fairly large. Well, we had our first lunch there the other day and I like what I've seen so far. The wife had the chicken salad sandwich and I had the fish and chips.
