New Orleans skillet and huck's lemonade
Danielle C.

Had a great experience at Huckleberry's! We came here for a work lunch for the second time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the huckleberry lemonade, which was refreshing and full of flavor. My skillet with eggs, shrimp, andouille sausage, bell peppers, and tomatoes was cooked perfectly and packed with bold, savory flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. We had great and attentive service as well. I'll definitely be back!

I love going to Huckleberry's for breakfast. It has become our go-to breakfast/brunch spot in the area. The best thing about this specific location is that parking is never an issue. We either get lucky or it less busier during the beginning of the week. The decor gives a New Orleans, bayou vibe when you walk in. The service - top tier. The host seated us immediately and we didn't wait that long to meet our server. We didn't wait long for our food either. I ordered the usual: Huckleberry Lemonade, beignets, and my favorite, fried green tomatoes. On this specific day, I ordered all 3 and the chicken fried steak breakfast with a side of fruit. Everything was delicious. Please note* The beignets aren't like Cafe Du Monde beignets but they're still tasty and one of our favorite items on the menu. Can't wait to return!

I heard a lot of good things about Huckleberry's in Concord when it first opened, but as with all new places, I tend to wait before visiting the first time to avoid the crowds, long lines. Unfortunately, I forgot about Huckleberry's until today while doing a search on Yelp to find a new spot for lunch. We got there just before 1 PM (Sunday) and there were no crowds, no lines -- moderately busy. This restaurant is decorated nicely and very clean. The host and our server were very polite and kind, yet perfectly professional. Beverages are served in large mason jar type glasses. The peach iced tea came with a lemon wedge and pieces of peaches floating on top. Our food arrived quickly and everything was at the right temperature. Hot items were hot, and cold items were cold. My son had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. My California Benedict with a side of fresh fruit (instead of red potatoes) was so good! The hollandaise sauce was smooth and creamy, the fried green tomatoes crispy and hot underneath the perfectly poached eggs. The fresh fruit salad was actually very fresh, with ripe melon chunks, pineapple chunks, red seedless grapes, sliced strawberries and a few pieces of freshly sliced banana on top. The menu is varied enough to please any palate. There are great Southern favorites, like catfish and po boys. Huckleberry's is most definitely being added to our rotation.

I met with my cousin here for brunch/lunch. I have never been here before personally, so I wanted to give them a try. I have heard of huckleberry's but never myself ate inside of one. Seating was pretty simple for us and we got a booth by the window. Our server was nice and took our order pretty swiftly. Chicken Fried Steak: The steak was fried very well. It was crispy and did not look like it sat in oil too much. The gravy was delicious and it was nice to have it on the side so that the chicken fried steak did not become softer throughout the meal. The eggs were scrambled well and I love the country potatoes done the bayou way. Crab Cake Benedict: I am not normally a huge crab cake guy, but I wanted to give it a try. The Hollandaise sauce they had was perfect for me and the crab cakes themselves were delicious and flaky. It had a fair amount of crab to consume. The hash browns were extra crispy, but my only complaint was that I wanted it bayou style and they forgot to add it. Still, they placed it on the side for me at least. Overall, I had a great time here and would come back again.

Banana foster French toast with extra crispy sausage

I know Huckleberry is popular in the Sacramento area and was super surprised that we had a location down here our way. We got sat down super quick on a Sunday around 12ish, which is always a surprise because we know how much everyone loves to eat out on a weekend. Ordered the Banana Foster breakfast and I think the only thing I really enjoyed on my plate was the fried green tomatoes. I wish it was both green tomatoes, I got one red and one green and then the sauce served with it was stunning. The sausages was burnt, but I STILL ate it - LOL! The sausages was 2nd favorite on my plate. I wish there was more flavor on the french toast alone. Overall: 6/10 Fried beignet was something I was really looking forward to and then see how it came out, I was shocked. Only because, we weren't going to order them until our waiter recommended that we do and all that jam and custard was not it only because we weren't aware of all that jam and custard that came with it. Overall: 4/10 But, like I always say, don't knock it till you try it.

Mississippi Scramble ... potatoes underdone.

Why didn't I check my review from a couple of years ago before coming here? The old saying that "the third time is a charm" certainly did not apply. From the reviews and the rather crowded dining area, Huckleberry's is popular. Just not the restaurant for DH and me. On the plus side, the portions are large. We only ate half and had enough to reheat the next morning. (Note: the takeout boxes are difficult to close ... even our server had problems.) DH enjoyed his Missippi Skillet. However, his wheat toast did not arrive with the meal. When it finally arrived, it looked like ordinary toast. It was cold and not toasted "very dark" as ordered. And disappointingly it was flavorless and "marshmallow" in texture. His coffee was also in the flavorless category. Knowing that such coffee is typical of "diner-style" restaurants, I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was advertised as being made with Zing Zang so sounded like it would be OK. But there was so much ice in the glass (AKA mason jar) that it was really watered down. The huge olive was the one good extra. The small stalk of celery was past its prime. The slice of bacon was cold and limp. I packed the bacon in my takeout box and reheated it the next day. Short time in the microwave and it was hot and crisp ... just the way it should have been served. The Bloody Mary (which BTW was slow in coming) was not the only problem with my meal. My order was either written down wrong or given to someone else. Instead of scrambled eggs and French toast, I was served two sunny side eggs and a waffle. Not sure if ham was on the plate or not. Sent it back before it touched the table. Long wait and finally got the right meal. Thick slice of ham was okay, not great. Better when reheated at home. The portion of scrambled eggs was large but institutional in texture and flavor. The French toast which I was looking forward was the biggest disappointment. Not grilled long enough, rather soggy. Again, it lacked flavor. Will blame it on the "marshmallow" texture of inexpensive bread. Even toasting it at home did not help much. I was not surprised that our server, an older woman, called DH "hon" and me nothing. Is that part of the down-home Southern-style atmosphere of Huckleberry's? Not a deal breaker, just annoying. The real deal breaker is poor service and flavorless food.

LOVE their breakfast foods. I have been here several times and have ordered on DoorDash as well. Staff is always very friendly and I love the Louisiana theme they have. Will definitely be back again.

Placed orddr online ahead of time for a Sunday morning pickup. Food is okay. Might be a better experience with dine-in. Online ordering before making payment has an option for utensils or not. I elected YES. The order I picked up did not come with any. A simple task such as this was horribly missed. Fking amazing...

One of my favorite spot for brunch, food is always really good and hot always right, service is one of the best, our host Jo provide excellent customer service, she is friendly making sure you have what you need with out you waiting and keeping your hand up to get her attention and I love that, this is the reason why we love to come here.

I went to Huckleberry's for lunch. Very down home backwoods country restaurant feel. My wife ordered the Catfish and Chips with Strawberry Lemonade. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with Peach Tea. I love how the drinks are in the mason jars! Food and drinks were very delicious! Good service! I definitely recommend Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch

Pumpkin spice latte

Service was first class. We arrived early for Breakfast since we had a day of adventure planned. We were offered seasonal hot coffees which hubs and I enjoyed very much. I had the pumpkin latte and it was really good. Not over done with pumpkin, yet very flavorful. I ordered the Monte Cristo, our son had the Bubba burger with sliced tomatoes on the side and hubs had the Dixieland Steak Skillet. The Bubba was perfection. Our son was so happy with this choice and it's quite filling. Hubs was happy with his choice except the fried onions that topped the dish were cold and limp. My Monte would have been perfect if the French Toast wasn't burnt. A waitress ( not our original one) came over and asked if everything was ok. So I pointed out that my toast was burnt and hubs remarked about the fried onions. She immediately offered up a new plate for me, which I turned down. I honestly need to speak up when food is delivered and I notice something wrong instead of settling. So that's on me. But the cook needs to know. She also offered hubs fresh fried onions and he said "yes". She delivered them quickly and hubs really enjoyed the rest of his meal. Every Huckleberries has cute decor and each one we've been to is a little different. We also picked up a bottle of Huckleberry syrup. We're planning on putting a little in our Vodka with some lemon-lime soda for a fun cocktail. Overall, I would come back because the service was top shelf. I would easily give the food a second chance and do a better job myself about speaking up if needed.

Banana's foster platter. This was amazing the best thing in this dish was the fried green tomatoes.

Does the cook wear a mask?

Do they require full vaccination?

They didn't ask for this info, we visited last week.

Is there a patio/outdoor dinning option? Update: we went for lunch and there is a "sunroom" but no actual outdoor/fresh air dining.

No, there's not. A sunroom is not outdoor dining.

Do they offer Impossible or Beyond burgers or sausage for vegetarian clientele?

Laura, Yes they do offer vegetarian choices on the menu like impossible meats.

The missed ones are usually due to slower service but still okay versus other restaurants I had been to. Yesterday we were here again and the service was fantastic! Our server, Anthony, was very personable. He is obviously genuinely nice because he showed the same kind of energy across the tables he attended to. We asked him about specific details of the menu and he obviously knew the menu by heart. We ordered the chicken nachos, among others, and we enjoyed it better this time because we were able to "customize" it to our liking because he was able to enumerate to us the ingredients so we were able to exclude those we didn't like. My kids both liked their food- one ordered the pizza kids meal and the other the sliders. There was a few mishaps on the first visit, some of the people in our group waited a while to get their food and we ask for condiments twice before we got them, but hey it was busy and we were a large group. On my second visit I order the fish and chips and they were good, fish was crispy and again, the serving was huge! My kids ordered the same thing on our second visit and they had no complaints. Both times we were seated fast. It is a sports bar and it does get busy and loud so if that's something you don't like, maybe skip it or request to sit outside! I would come here again!

We opted for the patio. Service was nice as expected. The place seems a little fancy. We were seated and 1 waiter brought us waters. (You have a choice of tap or bottled sparking water) I picked tap. Another waiter came by to give us menus and bread. Bread was good and the butter that came with it spread easily on the bread. (It wasn't hard, just out of the fridge) And then another waitress came to take our order. I got the cheeseburger and fries. Food came out at a decent time. It was very tasty. Our waters were constantly filled. It was warm that day and they had the ceiling fans cranked up. There was a lot of shade, but some areas had a lot of sun poking through. I'm a people watcher and noticed that a lot of their patrons order dishes to share. I'd definitely do that the next time. The waiter packed our leftovers and cleared the table. Then we waited...and waited for someone to bring us our check. It seemed to be at least 15-20 min before we got it. For some reason, we had multiple waiters waiting on our table. The next time we come, I hope to be able to sit inside. I was looking at the open kitchen and huge bar from the patio. For bdays and celebrations they bring out a slice of cake with a huge sparkler. I wanted to try the butter cake but I was too full. I didn't know what type of restaurant this was, the name makes me think of a diner/coffee house. (I didn't look them up before going, we just went) I'll definitely be back. Food was yum!

We have tried to come here before but it was super packed no parking and it was night time . This was months ago . This morning my man surprised me by bringing me here again for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch . We got there right when opening and the inside was already full ( people made reservations for Mother's Day but they had outdoor seating which is covered from the sun and has heaters ) They had a special menu for Mother's Day today so a lot of what you might see on the regular menu may have not been on today's menu . Our waiter let alone the rest of the staff were very nice and polite and kept wishing happy Mother's Day to everyone . It was very nice . Now food ! Ofcourse you know I got oysters . They had 5 different kinds to choose from but I got the dozen with all of them ! All fresh ! Some were more sweet some more Briney some more creamy . All of them were good and the shallot vinaigrette was the cherry on top ! He got the tortilla soup and we shared the cheesy crabby bread . He dipped it in the soup ( boys lol ) and sad it was good . My personal opinion I love the bread they used ! And nice flavor with out taking away from the nice amount of crab they put on it ! The steak Cobb salad was a very nice portion and the steak was cooked medium rare just how I like it . I was expecting it to be cut up pieces but no they gave you a whole filet which is nice if you want something light and filling I'd definitely recommend this salad . The clams were amazing ! The sauce was so savory just added a dash of lemon and I was in heaven . Plus the cheesy toasted bread they give you to slurp all that excellence lol top tier . Crab omelette was made with egg whites only no yolk , and had ample amount of LUMP crab meat no skimpy at all ! Potatoes were seasoned nice . And the waffles ( which comes by itself heads up that's why we ordered sausage and bacon as a side 8$ each kinda pricey. But we're very thick and good ) the waffles comes with a berry butter spread fresh fruit . Fluffy but still crisp. The limoncello mimosa flavor wise loved the limon but lacked the mosa part . Overall I'd highly recommend and want to come back to try more options . It was nice seeing all the happy families and the cutesy babies all around . Today was a beautiful day thankyou Wences !
