Not thrilled on any level. We had a large party (10) so we called ahead for a reservation. We're told to send one person from our party down early. So I went early. When I showed up and checked in with the staff there was a table that would accommodate our party but I was told I had to wait. For the next few minutes the staff continued to direct several small parties to the large set up. Finally I commandeered part of another large table. (There were already two people seated.) By this time the rest of my party was there anyway. The service was almost nonexistent. We had a large group and that can be challenging for some folks but we are a patient fun loving crowd that is not difficult to please. We had to ask for everything multiple times. The food was OK but not impressive. A warm greeting and personable waitstaff can go a long way to making or breaking the experience. Awesome!!! Especially all their Eggs Benedict! My absolute favorite is the Crab Benedict... No one does it like Min's!!!!

I'm not recommending this breakfast place to anyone. I went to this place this morning, the waitress took our order without any drink, we were waiting and waiting, water came, and we've been waited more than half hour, we finally got our food. And I ordered bacon with egg, the bacon tasted so hard and oily, I felt like they deep fried the bacon. Well, i.feel so unhappy today. I know it was busy, but they just let people came in without nice service. That's so stupid! read more

We went to this place this morning after seeing all the great reviews. The food was good, not spectacular (pancakes were a bit burned). Worst, we waited about 45 minutes for our food. Our waitress was great, but the 2 girls helping behind the counter were seemingly clueless. After getting up twice to ask for my coffeecake (my kids were starving and they said they could get this right away for us), the one behind the counter girl came wandering out not knowing where it went, I had to flag her down, and then she handed me a burning hot plate with no warning. Avoid! Three of us went here for breakfast and found it to be terrible. Between us, we ordered French toast, waffles, pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. About the only thing that was decent was the order of hash browns. The French toast was doughy and flavorless. The pancakes and waffles were tough, not light, not fluffy. They required solid work with a knife and fork to get through. The scrambled eggs were still runny in places. The coffee was pretty standard restaurant coffee--not good but typical. The service was also poor. It took 45 minutes for our food to come. In that time, we got no coffee refills from our waitress. After she left our food, she did not check in to see if we needed anything else. She also did not bring our check after our plates (still loaded with food to lousy to finish) were taken away. We had to flag her down to get it, and even then she took 10 minutes to get it to us--after taking the check to two other tables who had not asked for theirs, as if to punish us. At the register, the cashier asked how everything was. We explained that the food was poor and the service inattentive. The cashier looked away and started to talk to someone else as we spoke. On the way out, one of our party used the restroom, and it was filthy. This lack of attention to cleanliness makes me worry about the kitchen too. read more

The "seat yourself" option is ridiculous because the waitresses don't even notice who came in which results in about 10 minutes of waiting. After 15 minutes or so, we finally put an order in for two omelets which took 50 minutes to come out. The potato's were cold. Omelet wasn't bad but could have been better. read more

I had been a fan of Plaza Cafe for years. And then found out about Min's from a friend.. Went there March 20th of this year and now have gone for a total of 19 times. For breakfast and lunch, Min's is as good as it gets for a reasonable price. My favorite is the mini breakfast bacon (crisp) egg's over medium, sour dough bread of coffee. The bacon is wonderful (have never had better); Egg's always the way you order it. Nice friendly servers and of course Min herself who seems never to take a day off (they are open 7 days a week); For splurging, the avocado-crab benedict. Wow. It is so large, my wife and I split it and get a side order of the bacon. The Calamari, hambergers, sweet potato fries, salads, clam chowder... everything. Wonderful. Oh-- the crab louie--the most crab in a salad I have ever had. One day, I went by myself. Min asked where the wife was--she was not feeling well. I love Min's Kitchen. They are great for lunch with these huge and fresh crab or shrimp louies or the combo crab and shrimp louies. They are huge, fresh, and the cost is reasonable. They aren't super fancy, just a neighborhood jewel. But they are by far one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure eating at. The staff is nice too. read more

Had breakfast before picking up my car that was at Best Guys, getting a tint. This place was nice. The food was fairly priced. The service was good and it was quiet. I was able to watch the news while waiting for my car to done. read more

My husband LOVES Eggs Benedict, but he doesn't order it many places because most places can't cook a poached egg right. He ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict and was a very happy customer! I ordered the California Benedict, and loved it. I am not a big fan of Eggs Benedict because the sauce in most places doesn't appeal to me - but the sauce here was WONDERFUL and is made fresh in house daily. We live in Tracy, CA (about 50 miles - 1 hour away) and are already planning our next visit. This place is well worth the ride! read more

Pretty good find for typical American comfort food. I was actually expecting this place to be a Chinese place based on the name. It's a tiny cozy little diner in the heart of Concord. I thought I stepped back into the 80s since the waitress had these awesome 80s wave bangs. Love having breakfast for lunch. The ham and egg sandwich was what you'd expect and was decent. Hubby and I just moved from Pleasant Hill to Concord and wanted to find a new breakfast place. Min's definitely stays on the list. He actually found it on Yelp before we hopped in the car. I decided that I had to review it as soon as I ordered a large orange juice and was asked, "Fresh squeezed or Minute Maid?" I was taken aback. The food could have been crappy and I would have given it 3 stars just because I got a choice for orange juice. I am one of those weirdo's that does not like fresh squeezed orange juice. I find it too sweet so I was very happy to have the Minute Maid. I ordered the Florentine scramble with biscuit and a side of coffee cake. Coffee cake was awesome and HOT. Slathered with melted butter. Just like Millie's Kitchen in Lafayette makes it and that has always been my favorite. Scramble was delicious though a tad too heavy on the onions for my taste. Biscuit was HUGE and equally yummy. Will return again! read more

We were pleasantly surprised to walk in here as we didn't expect to have a large welcoming space in a strip mall. We all enjoyed our breakfast dishes, shrimp and avocado benedict, chicken fried steak, and chorizo omelette. However, the service was a bit slow. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was on the thick side and we were charged a lot for substituting for less carbs. Overall, we would return here to try other dishes and hopefully the service will be faster than our first visit. read more

Garbage service. My husband, friend, and I all went to breakfast this morning at Mins. The restaurant looked pretty empty with a total of 3 tables sat. Coming in the waitress told us to seat ourselves with a tone that sounded like she didn't have the time of day. When she finally came to take our order she was giving off a vibe like she was disturbed about something. Not thinking anything of it we started to order. While giving our order she kept getting more short with us when we each passed on the toast and hash brown side. Sounds stupid, I know! My husband was vey clear he wanted an omelet with just meat and cheese and my friend grilled chicken and egg. When the food came out she brought my husband a Chorizo omelet with all the fixings, understanding it was an easy mistake to make we picked off the extra stiff. However, our friend wasn't so lucky. She brought him chicken fried steak, explaing to her he didn't want the fried steak part she gave the cleaved suggestion to "just scrape it off." My friend doesn't eat red meat nor has he his entire life. We politely said we couldn't eat that because of his religion to which she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away.Not offering to get us what we actually ordered to quick of course we would have gladly paid for. At the end after her not checking on us, we didn't have the patients to argue she had gotten our order wrong and couldn't eat the food she brought, we paid for all the food and left. This place gave off a very "I don't have time for you" attitude and we will never come back. read more

We decided to try this place for breakfast. I had french toast - it was pretty good, nice and fluffy. The bacon was so-so. The staff was just "okay" not really great service. I had to ask for things like powdered sugar for the french toast - which I think should be standard, and for extra butter as there wasn't much on it. read more

I eat here basically every weekend. My usual breakfast is either Jose's or the garden scramble (not the omelet). If you go for the garden consider adding bacon to it (just $0.75)! And, if you like side dishes the coffee cake is simple, but terribly good. There's nothing fancy here, just good food and great service. Great local, family owned diner. read more

We come all the way from Danville to eat here. Today we met the owner and the restaurant is finally renovated. It's still great food but now the interior is more comfortable. THis is my new fave breakfast spot in Concord! I have been going to Sugar Plum for 30+ years. I never tried this place out because given the name, I did not figure it was a breakfast spot. I never order benedict at a new spot because I don't trust, but given the fact that they had close to 10 different types, I figured I could not go wrong. I cleaned my plate, which I never do. This is my favorite place to go to for breakfast on a Sunday. The biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak are awesome and the service is always good. Plus they always have on Premier League (English Soccer) so I can enjoy some good football while having a good meal.
