Regular French toast It was ok.
Stephanie I.

Came with my bf and his mom for brunch. Sat outside which was lovely. Our server was nice and attentive. I got the berries French toast- much much smaller than the photo, not very filling. My bf and I both got a side of potatoes, nothing to brag about. Just wasn't super impressed.

Overdone festive chicken

I love all the food, but please put the roasted hot chicken back on the DoorDash menu!

First time ever trying Mimi's Cafe. It wasn't exactly how I always imagined it all these years. I was expecting a different type of menu, slightly more up scale & it's very similar to a Dennys menu. The food was decent though. We did enjoy it. The service was extremely slow for a mostly empty restaurant. Taking our order, getting the food, getting the check...it was a good thing we didn't have to be anywhere.

Ask if the Chicken Pot Pie is available and then jump on it. Limited supplies made this delectable selection a must have based on a supply and demand challenge. It is worth going there for if you are a pot pie lover. Hot bread and warm soup is also another reason why you should go to Mimi's!!!!

The feel of the restaurant is like a cafe that also offered some outdoor dining. We started off with the Caprese Salad which was delicious with just the right amount of pesto. Then we also had the buffalo wings that were cooked perfectly with the right amount of kick. We then finished off with the stone fired pizza with fresh Italian sausage, basil, leeks & ricotta cheese...OMG was it amazing! We had zero complaints from the service down to the food, everything was delish! Only complaint that I can think of is they don't take reservations therefore going for dinner could be a toss up with getting a table!

It's a cool space, nice energy, and a staff that actually pays attention, which shouldn't be rare,…read morebut somehow is. Humble Bistro stays in its lane - consistent, dependable, the kind of place you don't have to overthink. Last night, the table went in on a margarita pizza add ricotta, meatballs, caprese, and short rib pappardelle. And yeah, HB is consistent, but this round came back a little uneven. The pizza leaned too long in the oven, Forno bread punched hard with salt, and the caprese felt a bit "overproduced," like it was trying to impress instead of just being. Service was excellent! Best moment of the night came after dinner. I asked for a standard Italian digestif, no dice. Swung to a go-to dessert liqueur, also a no. I feigned disappointment, and the server, without missing a beat, informed me: "We're French, not Italian." Hmm.... See you next time, Humble Bistro, where we'll probably go in on another pizza, pappardelle, meatballs and the chicken parm.... OUI OUI!!

The bad is in my opinion, how poorly this incident with sleeveless Steve was handled. I've been dancing over 35 years, I currently have a very large dance group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area called Honky Tonk Dancerz. I bring a lot of people to Foley Ranch to enjoy the food, the great Service and the ambience of the country western music and great dance floor to dance on. Over the past several months I've gotten a chance to get to know Steve and I find him very pleasant, very kind to the lady he dances with and respectful. He is a product of the new style of country swing, that you have your instructors teach this style on Thursday nights. In my opinion, there is a lack of instruction on Dancefloor etiquette and feeling the music, by that I mean, actually dancing to the music, not alongside of it. Steve dances as he was instructed by the instructors that you bring on the dance floor and teach new dancers how to dance. Steve dances exactly like all the other new dancers dance. If you have a problem with Steve and the way he dances, then you have a problem with all the other people that have been instructed by the instructors that you bring to Foley Ranch. And in regard to the comment that was made by Dan B, where Steve grab the arm of a lady and drug her to the dance floor, that's BS and that is never happened. Like other people have said in comment and in Steve's defense women can say no and that's their prerogative. If they don't like the way he's dancing with them on the dance floor then they need to open their mouth and tell him to take it easy I don't like the way you're dancing or I'm not gonna dance with you again. It's very obvious that Dan B and his group are not part of the dance community like Steve and many others that have commented in Steve's defense. Last weekend, I spoke with Garcia the floor manager and introduced myself and the concerns that I had when I heard about Steve being 86. I asked a lot of other dancers in the dance community, what their thoughts were on this. Some have already commented on here. And I feel it's my obligation to the dance community to do so also. I would be more than happy to sit down and speak with management and give my further thought as to how the situation can be resolved. Thank you, Bobby Honky Tonk Dancerz

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. This place delivers on every level, atmosphere, creativity, food, and service. I'll absolutely be making this a regular stop anytime I'm in Phoenix.

We enjoyed our full experience. Easily made reservations via Open Table (a must with a two month old baby!). We ordered the meatball Ferris wheel as an appetizer. It was so unique and fun! Although the classic meatball ended up being my favorite. I got the chicken parm and it was delicious. I love their red sauce! The only thing I was bummed about is that I love their marinara so much that I wanted to get the rigatoni with marinara as my side. However, they don't allow you to sub the sauce. It came with vodka sauce and I'm not a fan of that, so I opted for the side salad. Wish they'd allow you to sub the sauce. After dinner, we went next door to the Sicilian Baker and ordered an array of treats. Their tiramisu is a must! I've had it twice now and it's some of the best tiramisu I've had (topping even slices I've had in Rome!). The girls helping us were Riley and Tatum and they were very helpful. Even gave us some free mini cannolis. Yum!

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

The atmosphere was fun! Had a couple glasses of wine and went to listen to the live music outside…read more I love the decor in this bar with everything written in chalk on a chalkboard. You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.
