First time trying this at lunch today, spicy chicken sandwich was delicious, very flavorful and juicy. Was warned by staff it was very spicy but I thought it was delicious and not too spicy for me. The young lady working there was super friendly from the time we arrived she checked back with us numerous times and gave part of a chocolate chip cookie to try. Service was great. The man who waited on me was helpful and knew what was gluten free and what wasn't. I'm always grateful for informed people at restaurants when ordering. The sweet potato fries were really good, but I wish they had various dipping sauces like they have at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. Like, horseradish sauce or honey mustard or whatever. The man who waited on me gave me ranch, which is better than ketchup but not as good as dipping sauces made for sweet potato fries. The burger was just ok. The cheese had a rubbery stringy consistency and felt like super processed cheese, and the burger wasn't pink in the middle, like the posters on display claim (which is why their burgers are better, supposedly). I'd heard about this place when I was at Salt & Straw in Tempe a few months ago. They have a location near there and closer to me in the formerly PV mall area. I was in the mood for cheesy goodness so I checked out their menu. If you sign up for their rewards program, you get free fries. So I signed up! I also got their side of mac & cheese since I wasn't in the mood for a full portion. I ordered online and drove over. I found parking in front of the restaurant and headed inside. Only a few people dining inside with plenty of seating. I picked up my order from the register and headed home. I ordered their garlic Parmesan fries and they were tasty. Topped with their Melt sauce, Parmesan cheese and garlic, it was flavorful but almost too much. Very salty which I usually appreciate but I ended up mixing in the leftover topping to my pasta. When I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly lady who later told me she was the manager. She gave us a few suggestions of what to order the menu. Because it was our first time she even gave us two drinks on the house. I rarely drink anything but water, but they had Alameda cane sugar soda and I had a cola. I got a patty melt and my husband got the bbq bacon burger. They were both good, but the patty melt was better with the grilled onions and the toast. The bbq bacon burger was good as well. The fries were tasty as well. Overall I will be back and maybe try a cheesesteak or the Mac and cheese next time. I had the spicy double and lived it with the fresh jalapeños. The fries were not as crispy and topped with some green herbs. Not sure I enjoyed it with the herbs. The sodas were perfect craft sodas and not your typical Coke or Pepsi. I would've given the place a 5 stars but I saw an employee take the quarter sheet pans in which the burgers were placed from the garbage drop off area and just wiped the surface and put back into inventory for new customers. The sheet pans weren't even put through the dishwasher for cleaning and sanitizing. Our family visited the Tatum Blvd store on 12/24 for lunch. This is a walk up order at the counter place with buzzing coasters when your older is ready to pick up. Orders were accurately recorded by the cashier, who was very patient with the five of us and several special requests. But kitchen accuracy missed the mark, and two of our five burgers were missing ingredients. We did not ask for the missing ingredients, just ate our burgers anyway. We ordered one double melt, one double BBQ melt, two single spicy missions and a single original melt with four sides and two drinks for $88. Trays with burgers had mixed up side dishes but we figured it out. One Spicy Mission burger was lettuce wrapped by request, but a single thin leaf didn't hold up well to this juicy patty. And they are thick third pound patties, I didn't need a double and my giant sons had trouble finishing their doubles. Burgers tasted awesome, pink juicy and well seasoned. Lots of cheese, gooey and drippy. The sweet potato fries were very good, although I will hold the unexpected cinnamon sugar next time since I dip them in ranch. Ranch dressing was homemade and excellent. Mini Mac and cheese was a big hit with college son. Regular fries were devoured but still need to try to Parmesan ones! I think the regular fries have just salt and parsley on them, not any flavoring. Not sure why I tipped 15% on our $87.88 bill, because we picked up our own food and bussed our own table. If I thought the tip was to ensure an accurate order, it failed. This is not a bargain place but the meat and ingredients are very good quality. The filtered water at the soda dispenser was even good! A team member brought us a cookie, cut in four (we are a party of five but I am gf) which was nice. Very solid burger spot, loved the taste of my double melt burger, I'd certainly come back. That said, though I enjoyed the wall art and the customization aspect of the self-serve kiosk, this place didn't have any music or unique atmosphere. I didn't know what this place was going to be like but the neighborhood that it's in is very high scale. When I went in I found that the manager was quite friendly and personable. We went to the Melt for their soft opening neighborhood night. It's a casual, fast food style restaurant that lives up to its name with lots of cheesy options! Grilled cheese, cheese burgers, mac n cheese, cheddar fries, and parmesan fries. We had friendly service and it was very clean. I ordered the Italian Job grilled cheese, which sounds like it would be filled with Italian meats, but it's actually vegetarian with mushrooms and Italian cheeses. I would probably change the name to something different. It was good! My husband and a friend both got the Patty Melt grilled cheese and loved it. Very happy to have The Melt join the neighborhood! I have visited twice now and have had a mostly positive experience each time. The first time, we ordered online and picked up. Their system is very streamlined and they communicate promptly via text when your food is done. I picked up my items within 10-15 minutes of ordering (we were at Whole Foods next door). I ordered the Egg in a Hole and added an Impossible Patty on GF bread. I was thrilled to have GF options (yes, there's an up charge, but worth it)! My wife had their classic Impossible Meltburger. My sandwich was delicious and I was impressed that the GF bread did not fall apart. My only complaint was that the egg on one half of the sandwich was very much raw. The second time I visited, I dined in and ordered from the self-serve kiosk. The staff was very friendly and the space was clean, spacious, and comfortable even with many other patrons. I had the Impossible burger on a GF bun this time and again, thoroughly enjoyed it. Got a side of sweet potato fries, which I didn't care for too much because of the extra sugar. I prefer the plain fries. My friend got the Egg in a Hole and I warned her about my experience. She enjoyed it but also found that part of her sandwich had raw egg. Food came out quickly and they have a easy alert system that you calibrate to a puck when you order via self-serve. For those that are more technolgically challenged, there is also a person that provides counter service. The menu offers a great variety of option without overwhelming. Burgers, grilled cheese, mac/cheese, and even salads! They also offer soft drinks and milk shakes to satisfy the sweet tooth. Returned to the Melt to try it out again since the manager provided us with a gift card to try it out. The service was once again amazing. The staff is very kind and very helpful. The store is very clean and kept up, great ambiance. The food was definitely better this time around. I got the fried spicy chicken sandwhich and my sister got the regular fried chicken sandwhich. This was definitely better than the grilled chicken as it had more flavor for some reason. I do wish my bun was slightly warm, but it wasn't. Overall, decent tasting but a little more salt would go a long way. We also got the fajita Mac and cheese and the regular Mac and cheese which I thought was yummy. The fajita Mac and cheese just lacked meat. It would be good if they crumbled a beef patty on top. The salads were the best thing on the menu. Loved both the ceasar and the Cobb. read more

Here's the problem-there isn't enough parking, and you have to almost literally fight with the many other angry drivers circling around looking for a spot.
