I have been wanting to try The Melt's Paradise Valley location they have two locations in the South Bay, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. They are a coveted go to for yummy cheesy goodness. I had the patty melt with sweet potato fries on the side. I was late, picking my order up, because I was at work and we were extremely busy. They insisted on remaking my order... I just didn't have the time. However, they did remake my fries. Amazing customer service and food. My melt was delicious as always. The Melt is one of eateries at the new PV complex. It's a chain restaurant, and this is the first Arizona location. The Melt serves primarily grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and burgers with a smattering of other options such as salads, soup and mac and cheese. Nothing I've had so far is, like, amazing, but most of it is very good. The mac and cheese is better than what you get in many more-expensive restaurants. The classic grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup (get the grilled cheese croutons as an add-on) is a perfect lunch. The only menu item that disappointed me was the chopped Cobb salad. A note: Although you can buy Coke products in cans, Melt's fountain drink system features Alameda Soda products, which are good, but a tiny bit disappointing for people who want plain old Pepsi or Coke products. The interior is pleasant, the patio is lovely and takeout orders are ready ridiculously fast. All in all, The Melt is a great new addition to the neighborhood. read more

First time trying this at lunch today, spicy chicken sandwich was delicious, very flavorful and juicy. Was warned by staff it was very spicy but I thought it was delicious and not too spicy for me. The garlic parm fries were amazing but I might ask for less garlic next time. My husband has had the bbq burger and shroom burger so far and loved them. My kids devoured the Mac n cheese and regular fries. And for dessert, the chocolate chip cookies, chocolate milkshake and cookies n cream milkshakes are phenomenal. I can't wait to try more! The Melt is great but getting to it is not because parking is a nightmare. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the cheesey sandwiches were out of this world - nice and greasy patty melt with golden caramelized onions - and great fries. To me, Five Guys is a high bar to meet and The Melt's food exceeded it. Here's the problem-there isn't enough parking, and you have to almost literally fight with the many other angry drivers circling around looking for a spot. After 10 minutes I had given up and was leaving, but was lucky enough to catch someone pulling out way over by Trevor's. This isn't a burger restaurant or a Mac & Cheese restaurant or a grilled cheese restaurant. This is a CHEESE restaurant as each dish served features something melted on a classic dish!! On their menu, they have MeltBurgers, Melted Classics, and Mac 'n Cheese dishes (and more). When my wife and I tried The Melt last night, we parked around the corner near Whole Foods and had a short walk. There is limited street parking and a much larger parking structure nearby with a slightly longer walk. As we were walking, we came across a sign for The Melt with a QR code for joining The Melt's loyalty program. That would have been great right off the bat, as you get a free order of fries with your first order of $10 or more. More about that shortly. As we walked into the restaurant, there is indoor and outdoor seating along with ordering kiosks and registers with cashiers. My wife and I decided to both try a MeltBurger along with an order of regular fries. I ordered a traditional MeltBurger while my wife ordered an Impossible MeltBurger. While the restaurant felt like a nice, casual restaurant that was a higher scale than fast food but not as fancy as a sit down restaurant, the prices felt more similar to a sit down restaurant. At the same time, without any number signs, you can take a seat and the restaurant staff will bring the order to you when it is ready (even though you are still given a buzzer/beeper to let you know when it's ready so you can keep an eye out for the staff and order). We both skipped the jalapeño-pickle mix topping and swapped it out for regular sliced pickles. I ordered a side of the Melt sauce, which they initially forgot but quickly got for me; the sauce is similar to thousand island dressing. The food was very tasty, and samples of their melted chocolate chunk cookie were brought over to use as well. We enjoyed the food, and look forward to coming back to share a Three Cheese Classic (grilled cheese) with tomato soup and the Melty Mac (Mac & Cheese) next time. Download the app and sign up for the loyalty program. You can add a receipt by taking a photo or connect a credit card to earn points redeemable for food and drink items. Again, when you first sign up, you can get a free fries with a $10 purchase. There is a QR code at the bottom of the receipt showing you how to do so with a note of enjoying fries on your next visit. I'm assuming they are referring to the initial free fries with $10 purchase promotion. Either way, if you'll be a regular, you should definitely get the app and sign up. A random note about the menu/brochure where it lists the "Melt Locations Near you" on the back. I didn't know who to tell, but under the Del Mar location, San Diego is misspelled. As my wife is from San Diego, I wanted to make sure I pointed that out, as it's a silly mistake on an impressive menu and brochure. I hope someone from The Melt sees that and passes that information along. Either way, we're still impressed and will plan on coming back. As the restaurant's promise states, it is an experience so great, you'll say, "I Love it Here!" And yes, my wife and I really did enjoy our first experience. Give it a try! read more

We came here for a late lunch, it wasn't busy at all, so we had time to look over the great menu. OMG! Huge, well seasoned burgers with the condiments as you like, not just everything piled on to excess. The fries were hot and crispy (we tried the garlic-Parmesan, yummmm!). Our only wish would be they have name brand diet soda and not the off-brand no one has heard of. Even with that very small hiccup, we will definitely return!
