The restaurant was nicely decorated. The server was helpful and courteous. We never felt rushed. The Hush burger was great and so were the fries. The Chilaquiles were so so. Chips with some pork and a fried egg on top. A small portion and more expensive than the burger. The PEI mussels were good, but did not have enough broth to make use of the grilled sourdough bread. Came by for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, plenty of available seats so we were promptly seated. Wife loved the look of the place as it was a cozy vibe with modern/chic decor. Our waitress explained the menu with some good recommendations we decided to go with. Started off with the truffle fries and the Iberico ham croquettes (which they brought out by mistake, but we loved). Macaroni au gratin followed after and is easily declared some of the best mac and cheese I've had. Our main was the Hush burger which came with our originally ordered crispy Brussel sprouts. Burger was decent and we loved the caramelized onions, but the Brussel sprouts were divine! Was looking for a new spot in the neighborhood and came across Fire at Will. The restaurant is tucked away in a plaza and has a very friendly neighborhood feeling when you walk in. The server was super friendly and walked us through the menu and his recommendations. We started with the croquettes which were absolutely delicious dipped in the harissa aioli. I would get these again in a heartbeat. The Hush Burger is 2 smash patties with caramelized onions and the restaurants special sauce. This burger was up there in my top 5 for burgers in the PHX area! The grilled ribeye with a loaded baked potato was the perfect combination to top off our dinner. The burger was overly salted, and the Caesar salad is more of a Parmesan salad. Lacked acidity and dressing. I wish I had read reviews of this place before going. A lot of items that are pictured on this Yelp page aren't offered on the menu. No Scotch eggs. No lobster roll. The service was attentive, but I felt bad for the wait staff. My girlfriend ordered a salad with salmon. She sent the salmon back twice (undercooked in the middle) before requesting to have it removed from her bill completely. That's lost revenue on the tip for the staff. And the time it took to get our food was way too long. I get the impression the kitchen staff is disorganized, despite the open kitchen looking very clean. The portions were too small for the prices. The pop was served in a can without any refills. It alternated between too loud and just loud. You had to scream to speak to person across from you at the same table. The menu was too limited. My husband got the bolognese (it was pretty average) and I had the shrimp with grits. We skipped dessert, but our other friends tried it. For $6, you shouldn't get one small scoop of ice cream in a metal tin. I wanted to like this place, but I won't be back. read more

Caesar salad was delicious, with fresh ingredients and started our night off great. Brussel sprouts were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection Mac and cheese was a hit and recommended by our server and we thoroughly enjoyed it Burgers were grilled / prepared with such care and are on our top 5 of best in the valley. Situated in a small shopping center, there is plenty of parking. We were seated immediately as we had a reservation. Service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive. The place was hopping with people of all ages. We started with delicious brown buttered bourbon cocktails and bacon wrapped dates. So yummy. I had the sesame salmon served with a small salad. The salmon was full of flavor and seasoned perfectly. My friend and I shared the blackberry and blueberry cobbler, which was a perfect way to end our wonderful dinner. Fire At Will popped up on my socials and I immediately put it on my list for next date night, which happened to be this week! It's located in a strip mall setting next to some other more fast casual restaurants, definitely unassuming. The inside is super vibey though, with dark details, wood tones and greenery. Their entryway sports a super cool gallery wall of prohibition influence art. We love sitting at the bar when it's just the two of us, so obviously had to snag seats there! It was not too busy on a Sunday evening, they definitely had a good crowd, but we had no problem grabbing a seat and had a few options, though it did continue to fill up at the evening went on. We were greeted by the bartenders, who were friendly and gave us a few moments to determine our beverages. Nothing quite spoke to me, they seem to have a fun list of classics with a twist. My husband got the Big City, with is their twist on a manhattan, and he enjoyed it. I shared his second cocktail with him, which was the Sloe & Steady which was a gin forward cocktail and was really nice, balanced, fruity, smooth but not overly sweet. The bartender let us know a few house favorites, including their famous Hush Burger (which is one of the things taht grabbed our attention on social). We opted to start with the bacon wrapped dates, the gem salad, the hush burger with fries and the halibut which came with saffron and corn risotto. The goat cheese stuffed dates were delicious! Super unique with a spicy red pepper base. I do think serving it with a small slice of bread, would worthwhile, as they give you a lot of the base sauce, which is delicious, but leaves a lot of leftover that could easily be enjoyed with a carb-y acoutremon. The gem salad was also delicious and super fresh - highly recommend. As for entress, we loved the burger, though nothing particularly special, it was just a delicious burger. The sauce, melted cheese, on the grilled noble bread - chefs kiss! The halibut was good, the saffron corn risotto was really the star of the show and I think the overall dish lacked a bit of flavor. I am glad we tried it, but I would not necessarily get again. Everything else we ordered is definitely a repeat. We sadly did not get dessert, though the chocolate tiramisu and seasonal cobbler were speaking to me, I just did not have the room! The menu prices were also super reasonable, especially for the quality of the food and overall portions, with burgers and sandwiches around $20, entrees rangingin from $25-50. Everything was amazing! My friend thoroughly enjoyed her burger! Bun was buttery. Asparagus was deliciously flavored and crispy! My boyfriend and I split the ribeye (medium rare) + baked potato. They pre-cut the ribeye before they put it on a cast iron to keep it hot. It was incredible. I ate every piece of the steak. The potato was crispy skin on the outside and flavored well and the inside of perfect consistency. We all shared the brussel sprouts and truffle parm fries. Omg. Both appetizers were amazing. The brussel sprouts had some kind of soy sauce marinade on it - and it was perfectly crispy. My friend and I came here during restaurant week for an early 5:30 dinner. I had made reservations through the website (Tock). Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated. The atmosphere and vibe was all nice, trendy, with a long bar, long high top tables and regular tables with an open kitchen. My friend ordered off the restaurant week menu, starting off with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, then the Grilled Salmon and ended with the Chocolate Tiramisu. I opted to order off the regular menu the Salt Spring Mussels and Caesar Salad. The food all came out looking good and tasting good. My friend was very happy with her restaurant week choices. My Caesar Salad was good though it could of used some anchovies as Caesar Salads recipes call for. My Mussels were OK, the broth was very good, but the mussels themselves were very small and I had a lot of empty shells with no meat to be found at the bottom of the bowl. With that said for the cost at $28., that is pretty steep. I did take notice that the $18 Burger was just a burger, the $32 Lobster Roll was just that. The server was very attentive, got everyone's drink orders in a timely fashion and the drinks came out fast. The food also came out pretty fast for how large our party was! First off, I can see why people are drawn to Fire at Will due to the nice restaurant decor and vibe, but it didn't resonate with me as much as I had hoped. The atmosphere was quite buzzy when my partner and I originally entered. So busy, that the bar seating was full. No matter, the hostess sat us outside in their patio. For their location (since it's in a parking lot) I'm not sure why they have a patio on their front sidewalk. Felt kind of awkward. But I was glad to get some seating to try their hyped up menu since they had great reviews on yelp. So, the cocktails were fabulous. The food unfortunately didn't match the stellar cocktails. Out of the four dishes we ordered, only one was really standout-the Brussel sprouts appetizer. Another negative was the service. Not the best but I understand it was a busy night for them. First time to Fire At Will. Got there at 4:30pm on a Friday. Asked for a table for three. Restaurant was empty with the exception of one table. Hostess stated we could only have the table until 630. I was meeting two friends from out of town, that I had not seen in a while so being told we had a time limit on our table was a little offputting. They were nice about it though. Ambience is cute. Service was very good. Server was very attentive throughout the whole dinner. We ordered an appetizer of onion dip and chips. That was very good. The onion dip was a little sweet tasting, but we certainly ate all of it!! Food presentation was very simple. One person ordered salmon and grits, and it was literally that on the plate some grits with salmon on top. Another friend ordered steak and baked potato and again just a steak and a baked potato somewhat like you could have at my house!! I think sometimes you can make a plate look nice without a lot of food on it, but none of these extra touches were on any of the plates. I ordered the hutch burger that seemed to be one of their signature dishes. There are a lot of places in town that serve some pretty amazing burgers, but unfortunately, this is not one of them. The bun was dry, the meat was not flavorful and was very dry. There wasn't a lot of flavor in this secret sauce and there were very few onions and pickles on the burger. The fries were just room temperature and were just average at best. Truthfully, I feel like I could have had better fries and a burger at Culver's. We are at Fire at Will for the first time last night. The atmosphere is lovely--dark but not so dark you can't see the menu. There is exposed brick and plants hanging from the ceiling. We ordered the Iberico Ham Croquettes with manchego cheese, the pan roasted chicken with cheddar grits and charred broccolini, and the stacked enchilada with fried egg. Had a first-time visit here recently for a birthday/holiday dinner with a group of friends. The food was excellent. Some of my friends enjoyed the Cubano sandwich and the Hush Burger, and I ordered the stacked enchiladas, which came with a fried egg on top. I asked if they would cook the egg over hard instead of over easy due to a health concern. The kitchen accommodated that request, no problem. Our server, Amy, suggested a mocktail for me, the World Traveler, and it was very good. She expertly handled our table of 9 with separate checks and provided just the right level of pleasant service. They even brought out three desserts for us to share because we had three December birthdays in the group. The only negative is that the noise level was a bit high at times.
