We enjoyed a nice breakfast at this cheery spot in paradise valley. As a breakfast spot it featured all the usual suspects from eggs, omelettes and pancakes to avocado toast, waffles and more. At 7:45 on a sunny Saturday we beat any sort of rush and were greeted right away by our pleasant server. We appreciated the fresh squeezed OJ to start off and my wife liked the avocado toast with its hint of lemon on the abundant greens. I've come here on and off for years and have only ever had the best food and service. Super delicious diner with breakfast choices for everyone, and the staff is always friendly with quick and attentive service. This morning's visit was a standout for many reasons. The hostess was subjected to some pretty disturbing behavior from a guest who tried to intimidate and gaslight her. The manager on duty, Lavell, stepped in and reassured and 100% supported his staff, while maintaining perfect professionalism and enthusiasm without missing a beat. He kept the mood of the restaurant lively, and flawlessly showcased what real leadership looks and sounds like, as well as how it makes the atmosphere of the restaurant feel like a warm, safe, and welcoming place for everyone. This small yet effective diner started in May 2008 by celebrity chef Aaron May is a great gem in the Paradise Valley area of Phoenix Arizona. The ambiance gives off a summer beach meets desert vibe, soft hues of yellow and turquoise fill the dinner. Very friendly staff, quick, funny and attentive. We went with the chicken fried steak, with potatoes O'Brien and eggs. A hand tenderized, hand breaded large steak perfectly season and fried, topped with three eggs perfectly cooked and well seasoned potatoes O'Brien. I recommend washing it all down with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Met some friends at 6:30am on a Sunday morning. My friends are regulars here, every Sunday morning for years. This was my first time. It was quiet but very peaceful and nice. I was given a warm welcome by the lady who seemed like she knew my friends very well bc they would banter and joke around with each other. It was a very fun atmosphere. I am a simple breakfast eater and since I wasn't familiar with the menu, she was super helpful in listening to what I liked and helping me with my order. Only a 10 min wait for a table on the weekend (in the late summer mind you), so love that ability to get in! The patio is well shaded too, so people were actually outside. Chicken and waffles was on the more expensive side - but it's a good amount of tenders. Waffle is home style not Belgian - not a bad thing, better in my mind, but just a warning. Next time I think I'd go with a less expensive entree like chilaquiles. Over easy iced is yummy but also a bit expensive at $6.95. I would skip that next time. Always phenomenal. We go here regularly and not only is the food consistently good, but the service is also awesome. It's a perfect local spot and they seem to move pretty fast, so even when there's a wait, it's usually pretty short. Their avocado toasts are terrific, as are their omelettes. The kids are big fans of the chocolate chip pancakes and think that they're bacon is some of the best in town. Sat on the patio on a beautiful Tuesday morning. The coffee was of good quality. The OJ was delicious but awfully pricy for such a small glass. Our server was very attentive and gave a lot of great advice for our first visit. We had the basil melt and Cajun hash. We also ordered a cheddar Jalepeno biscuit, which was outstanding. The only negative aspect of our visit had little to do with our meal. A woman with two large dogs (a German Shepherd and a black lab) came to the patio and they were not on leashes. The dogs roamed around the patio for a while until enough people had given her dirty looks that she put them on their leashes. A perfect post-spin brunch spot! I went with the breakfast tacos which had eggs, chicken tinga, and a chipotle hollandaise sauce! You can choose between regular potatoes, tater tots, sweet potato's or hash browns for your side. The tacos were good-- I love eggs and I love tinga but it wasn't my absolute favorite pairing them together. Phoenix East Indian School. Long time going to this location. When they closed for remodeling I ally thought about all of the great employees. When they finished the work of the remodel we were one of the first back to eat and were so happy to see most of the employees had returned. This says a lot about management. We were out running errands when we realized we'd missed breakfast and were hungry. Over Easy was nearby. This place was busy but we were greeted by several individuals and our server, Lavelle, automatically made us feel welcome and explained their scratch made entrees. The beignets were a special and something I had not had in a long time. They arrived artfully arranged on the plate with some honey, and decorated with sliced strawberries. I had seriously considered the banana nut French toast so convinced my husband to order that so I could sample. The brioche bread was covered with pecans and sliced bananas that had caramel poured over the top. It was delicious and I sampled. Actually, I sampled a lot. We will be back soon. read more

The portions here are huge. The staff are amazing and attentive. They seem to be happy to be there which can be rare!!! We started with an orange juice which is one of the best orange juices I have had, they squeeze it fresh daily. We also got the over easy cold coffee drink. It was stupid good! Loved it a lot. For food we got the monte cristo - been years since I've had one. It was very good. But probably not something I'll order for a few more years. Very rich and heavy. I also got the OG WOLFPACK but it was like a hashbrown sandwich. DELICIOUS. And again huge and filling. It is like a layer of hashbrown, bacon, eggs, and another layer of hash brown. Then you have the option to top it off with sauce. We chose the gravy. The gravy does not have much flavor but it is good. Visiting Arizona for a family event and decided to check out this breakfast joint. The location is stunning and I love how they have opened doors and windows. The hostess and staff are absolutely amazing, super kind and thoughtful people. Our food came out very quick, and was SUPER TASTY!! What keeps me from giving 5 stars is the coffee that I had at your restaurant today. I've been to two other Over Easy Restaurants and the coffee is always so great, which is why Over Easy has been my favorite breakfast place, but the coffee at Lake Pleasant Over Easy, tasted bland and watered down. Not good at all. The breakfast was good, though the scrambled eggs were a little overdone. I will continue to eat at Over Easy, just not at the one in Lake Pleasant. read more

The service was great, the food came out quick, and the portions were large! I ordered a basic 2 egg scramble with some very flavorful sausage, breakfast potatoes and an English muffin. The muffin was big and fluffy. I wish I ordered the biscuit on the side because that looked really tasty as well. My friend ordered their specialty chicken and waffles and I had to steal a bite...or 5. Fluffiest waffle I've had in a long time. Chicken cooked to perfection. Not something I would ever order in the future because I'm a basic brekkie type of person, but dang, chef's kiss! I can't wait to come back and try more! read more

She was slow and hardly checked in then when it came to asking for the check she said she would go grab it just for us to see her eating in front of us. I understand servers have to eat as well but I feel it's more appropriate to do in the kitchen and not in front of your guests. This feedback is intended as a tool for identifying areas of improvement rather than assigning individual fault, as the server was handling multiple tables in succession. Upon arrival, it was evident that the hosts were not keeping track of the order in which guests arrived. No effort was made to clarify who arrived first, which led to tension and confusion among waiting parties. After being seated outside, our table waited approximately 10-15 minutes before being acknowledged for drinks, while guests seated after us were served prior. Drinks were great. Food was exceptional. Once ordered, drinks and food both were delivered in exceptional timing. No complaints in this regard. Addressing these procedural gaps could significantly improve the guest experience. Generally tasty food with some unique menu items, kind service by Jessie and food came out pretty quickly, and progressively became more busy from the time we went at 10am and left at 11am. Breakfast burrito w/ vegan sausage and mushroom, +red enchilada sauce + vegan sausage wasn't too strong of a meaty flavor and had nice taste + texture + tasty burrito with the red sauce - inside was pretty dry and worked out with the red enchilada sauce, but if ordered on its own, would do better with a sauce inside Protein pancakes + nice flavor of the pancakes with a hint of cinnamon and not a gritty experience with protein powders + solid portions +/- moisture was okay. I don't think having the nuts and bran on top helped with that. The toppings encouraged use of the butter and drowning in syrup, which kinda negates the purpose of the protein emphasis. Would do well with a fruit on top like banana to help with the overall moisture levels. read more

Nice little breakfast, brunch Café. we were greeted nicely by the receptionist and we were seated quickly. The server came quickly as well with water. They came back and took our order within only a couple of minutes. Ordered a breakfast burrito with sweet potato hash, and we also had the brioche French toast. The order actually came out really quick along with our coffee. When we started on the burrito, we noticed that the sweet potato hash was not in there. We had the server come over and he was able to get a side of sweet potato waffle fries instead for us, it was really nice about it as well. It was a great experience for a nice brunch. read more
