Country fried steak and scrambled eggs. Potatoes O'Brien with a side of corn beef hash
    Dayne D.

This small yet effective diner started in May 2008 by celebrity chef Aaron May is a great gem in the Paradise Valley area of Phoenix Arizona. The ambiance gives off a summer beach meets desert vibe, soft hues of yellow and turquoise fill the dinner. Very friendly staff, quick, funny and attentive. We went with the chicken fried steak, with potatoes O'Brien and eggs. A hand tenderized, hand breaded large steak perfectly season and fried, topped with three eggs perfectly cooked and well seasoned potatoes O'Brien. I recommend washing it all down with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Over all priced right for the amount of food you get, a great experience with friends, a definite must stop when in Phoenix any day of the week. Well done Over Easy!

Met some friends at 6:30am on a Sunday morning. My friends are regulars here, every Sunday morning for years. This was my first time. It was quiet but very peaceful and nice. I was given a warm welcome by the lady who seemed like she knew my friends very well bc they would banter and joke around with each other. It was a very fun atmosphere. I am a simple breakfast eater and since I wasn't familiar with the menu, she was super helpful in listening to what I liked and helping me with my order. I got two sunny side up eggs, bacon, crispy hash browns and toast. And it was delicious! Loved it!

Only a 10 min wait for a table on the weekend (in the late summer mind you), so love that ability to get in! The patio is well shaded too, so people were actually outside. Chicken and waffles was on the more expensive side - but it's a good amount of tenders. Waffle is home style not Belgian - not a bad thing, better in my mind, but just a warning. Next time I think I'd go with a less expensive entree like chilaquiles. Over easy iced is yummy but also a bit expensive at $6.95. I would skip that next time. Service was functioning but nothing special - very transactional, not proactive (ex had to ask for syrup, water, etc.).

Sat on the patio on a beautiful Tuesday morning. The coffee was of good quality. The OJ was delicious but awfully pricy for such a small glass. Our server was very attentive and gave a lot of great advice for our first visit. We had the basil melt and Cajun hash. We also ordered a cheddar Jalepeno biscuit, which was outstanding. The only negative aspect of our visit had little to do with our meal. A woman with two large dogs (a German Shepherd and a black lab) came to the patio and they were not on leashes. The dogs roamed around the patio for a while until enough people had given her dirty looks that she put them on their leashes. I'm assuming she is a regular as everyone working inside came out to pet her dogs.

    Breakfast tacos

A perfect post-spin brunch spot! I went with the breakfast tacos which had eggs, chicken tinga, and a chipotle hollandaise sauce! You can choose between regular potatoes, tater tots, sweet potato's or hash browns for your side. The tacos were good-- I love eggs and I love tinga but it wasn't my absolute favorite pairing them together. The hollandaise was quite runny and did ruin the structural integrity of the corn tortillas. Still did not stop me from finishing my plate :) Service was friendly and prompt! Lots of locations throughout the valley making it a solid brunch spot.

    Biscuits and gravy

Great food, good service, and the best orange juice! I had the avocado benedict and it was amazing. The eggs were poached perfectly and I liked that the hollandaise sauce was served on the side. My friend had the biscuits and gravy and loved them. Definitely wish I lived near by!

    Great idea!!

I really wanted to like this place. My wife had breakfast here recently and loved it. Their idea of checking in online in advance seems like a great idea. Unfortunately we did not know about this today. The hostess staff was absolutely unable to do the job. It was a young person maybe 15 with no people skills and seemingly no ability to effectively communicate. We left and went to old reliable IHOP. They can handle crowds.

The Crying Pig omelette, tots and waffle dog in background.

Our server was very nice and the ambiance is decent. If it was cooler, sitting outside would have been pleasant. The food was very good, and I had to try a waffle dog and then had the Crying Pig omelette with tots. The coffee was also good.

They're clearly pretty happy with themselves how they do things now. The decor is depressingly stuck in the '90's, which because of how small it is and how it's laid out could easily be fixed by updating just the barstools and artwork. Not gonna happen. The food is usually excellent, and they have a very good wine list. Prices are in line with a nice restaurant in this part of town. Just hope everything's to your liking because they have no interest in fixing it. Servers have been there forever, which can be helpful and entertaining...aaand inattentive if they don't already know you because they'd rather be talking it up with the regulars at the bar. I've been there when the service was on point and had a nice evening. I've also been there when they were too busy chatting with people they'd rather talk to to bring me what I ordered, then gave me attitude and a lecture when I asked it to be taken off the bill. The folks at Rusconi's obviously love what they do and how they do it. They seem interested in coming up with new dishes or specials to keep things fresh, and they execute them well. If you go, just know you're gonna get what you're gonna get.

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. This place delivers on every level, atmosphere, creativity, food, and service. I'll absolutely be making this a regular stop anytime I'm in Phoenix.

You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.

The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.
