Grilled Ribeye
Carter K.

Was looking for a new spot in the neighborhood and came across Fire at Will. The restaurant is tucked away in a plaza and has a very friendly neighborhood feeling when you walk in. The server was super friendly and walked us through the menu and his recommendations. We started with the croquettes which were absolutely delicious dipped in the harissa aioli. I would get these again in a heartbeat. The Hush Burger is 2 smash patties with caramelized onions and the restaurants special sauce. This burger was up there in my top 5 for burgers in the PHX area! The grilled ribeye with a loaded baked potato was the perfect combination to top off our dinner. Would recommend anyone in the area to try this spot for any special occasion or a fun weekend dinner!

Enjoyable staff, comfy seating, with an open kitchen, clean bathrooms, and overall restaurant GET THE BACON WRAPPED DATES. The burger was overly salted, and the Caesar salad is more of a Parmesan salad. Lacked acidity and dressing. If it was listed as a regular salad it would be fine but it was definitely not Caesar enough. The croquettes were delicious and I'd come back here because of the appetizers and the awesome service. Unfortunately the burger was a miss for me along with the salad. Truffle fries were really good and they go well with ranch. Dates was the best thing I had here

This place was super cute on the inside. Pretty casual ambiance. Service was great. Met my girlfriend here to catch up and try something new. I thought it was okay. My girlfriend ordered the chicken Marsala and she only had a few bites. She didn't care for it. Said it didn't taste like anything. I ordered their chopped salad and some fries. Their fries were delicious and I liked that it came with three dipping sauces. The salad was disappointing. It lacked flavor. I had to add salt and pepper which made it OK but just with everything it had, did not have any flavor whatsoever. I won't be coming back.

Our service was amazing. This place is a little hidden but a really great find. Happy hr is $2 off cocktails and a few food dishes. Some of us had regular menu items and everyone thought the food was amazing!!!! Can't wait to go back!

Ibérico pork Tastyyy! Sweet and savory well balanced combo.

Food is amazing at this hidden spot in PV. The atmosphere is spot on it has a kitsch combo of casual/upscale and suave date-night vibe, F@W has an open kitchen and friendly staff. They also have a full bar with exciting signature cocktails (I'm a gin guy) you should try the 75mm it won't disappoint, definitely worth coming back to. Plenty of parking tho.

We've seen this restaurant on social media and finally made reservations to dine here and we were NOT disappointed! Amazing service, friendly staff, beautifully decorated and outstanding food! Caesar salad was delicious, with fresh ingredients and started our night off great. Brussel sprouts were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection Mac and cheese was a hit and recommended by our server and we thoroughly enjoyed it Burgers were grilled / prepared with such care and are on our top 5 of best in the valley. French fries were crispy yet soft on the inside and balanced with seasoning making us want more. All in all really enjoyed our evening and can't wait to bring others with us next time.

Situated in a small shopping center, there is plenty of parking. We were seated immediately as we had a reservation. Service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive. The place was hopping with people of all ages. We started with delicious brown buttered bourbon cocktails and bacon wrapped dates. So yummy. I had the sesame salmon served with a small salad. The salmon was full of flavor and seasoned perfectly. My friend and I shared the blackberry and blueberry cobbler, which was a perfect way to end our wonderful dinner. Served warm with a small scoop of ice cream, it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back when I'm back in Phoenix.

Fire At Will popped up on my socials and I immediately put it on my list for next date night, which happened to be this week! It's located in a strip mall setting next to some other more fast casual restaurants, definitely unassuming. The inside is super vibey though, with dark details, wood tones and greenery. Their entryway sports a super cool gallery wall of prohibition influence art. We love sitting at the bar when it's just the two of us, so obviously had to snag seats there! It was not too busy on a Sunday evening, they definitely had a good crowd, but we had no problem grabbing a seat and had a few options, though it did continue to fill up at the evening went on. We were greeted by the bartenders, who were friendly and gave us a few moments to determine our beverages. Nothing quite spoke to me, they seem to have a fun list of classics with a twist. My husband got the Big City, with is their twist on a manhattan, and he enjoyed it. I shared his second cocktail with him, which was the Sloe & Steady which was a gin forward cocktail and was really nice, balanced, fruity, smooth but not overly sweet. The bartender let us know a few house favorites, including their famous Hush Burger (which is one of the things taht grabbed our attention on social). We opted to start with the bacon wrapped dates, the gem salad, the hush burger with fries and the halibut which came with saffron and corn risotto. The goat cheese stuffed dates were delicious! Super unique with a spicy red pepper base. I do think serving it with a small slice of bread, would worthwhile, as they give you a lot of the base sauce, which is delicious, but leaves a lot of leftover that could easily be enjoyed with a carb-y acoutremon. The gem salad was also delicious and super fresh - highly recommend. As for entress, we loved the burger, though nothing particularly special, it was just a delicious burger. The sauce, melted cheese, on the grilled noble bread - chefs kiss! The halibut was good, the saffron corn risotto was really the star of the show and I think the overall dish lacked a bit of flavor. I am glad we tried it, but I would not necessarily get again. Everything else we ordered is definitely a repeat. We sadly did not get dessert, though the chocolate tiramisu and seasonal cobbler were speaking to me, I just did not have the room! The menu prices were also super reasonable, especially for the quality of the food and overall portions, with burgers and sandwiches around $20, entrees rangingin from $25-50. We will definitely put this in the rotation!

Burger with asparagus

Everything was amazing! My friend thoroughly enjoyed her burger! Bun was buttery. Asparagus was deliciously flavored and crispy! My boyfriend and I split the ribeye (medium rare) + baked potato. They pre-cut the ribeye before they put it on a cast iron to keep it hot. It was incredible. I ate every piece of the steak. The potato was crispy skin on the outside and flavored well and the inside of perfect consistency. We all shared the brussel sprouts and truffle parm fries. Omg. Both appetizers were amazing. The brussel sprouts had some kind of soy sauce marinade on it - and it was perfectly crispy. I'm a huge fan of truffle fries - not soggy, perfectly crispy and there was truffle parm all the way down to the last fry. Sometimes restaurants will just drizzle parm and truffle on the top of a pile of fries, but not this place!!! It was delicious! Will definitely come back!

The ahi tuna was so good, probably my favorite dish of the night. The rack of lamb was cooked really well, and the short rib was good too, just needed a more salt or something in my opinion. Still enjoyed it though. The cheesecake was divine. Panna cotta was yummy. Definitely the perfect way to end the meal. Our server was polite and let me try a couple wines before choosing, which I appreciated. We made a reservation and got seated quickly, even with it being Valentine's Day. Ambiance was dark and moody. We were the last ones out the restaurant, never felt rushed. Atmosphere was great for a date night. Bathrooms were clean, but the floor felt a little slippery. They're clearly pretty happy with themselves how they do things now. The decor is depressingly stuck in the '90's, which because of how small it is and how it's laid out could easily be fixed by updating just the barstools and artwork. Not gonna happen. The food is usually excellent, and they have a very good wine list. Prices are in line with a nice restaurant in this part of town. Just hope everything's to your liking because they have no interest in fixing it. Servers have been there forever, which can be helpful and entertaining...aaand inattentive if they don't already know you because they'd rather be talking it up with the regulars at the bar. I've been there when the service was on point and had a nice evening. I've also been there when they were too busy chatting with people they'd rather talk to to bring me what I ordered, then gave me attitude and a lecture when I asked it to be taken off the bill. The folks at Rusconi's obviously love what they do and how they do it. They seem interested in coming up with new dishes or specials to keep things fresh, and they execute them well. If you go, just know you're gonna get what you're gonna get.

The absolute must-order is the jalapeño bacon burger -- perfectly cooked with just the right kick of spice and loaded with flavor in every bite. We'll definitely be returning for another incredible experience!

It looked pretty busy when we got there, and we heard live music would start at 7:00pm. For drinks, the menu says to ask about mocktails - I would prefer that they list it on the menu so that I have more time to decide. I forgot what was in my mocktail other than yuzu, but I enjoyed it. I think my friend's mocktail was blackberry with ginger beer. For food, they are known for their Aftermath Burger, but the Jalapeño Bacon Burger sounded even better. We told our server that we were going to share everything. We didn't ask to split the burger, but I guess he told the kitchen to, so that was a nice surprise. Did not see an up-charge for that either. The burger was SO good - loved the crispy edges of the burger patties. It was so flavorful, and I would definitely go back for it. The crinkle fries were extra crispy. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was okay, though I wouldn't order it again. Same with the burrata - I was okay with the sliced almonds for some crunch, but the fresh strawberries did not pair well with the burrata for both my friend and me. Overall we had a good dinner with decent service. The live music was great and interactive too - the singer asked questions at a nearby table, then picked a song to sing based on the responses.

Right on Camelback, in a little nook of a building with a book store/coffee shop attached. We entered and were seated immediately. If you read any of my previous reviews, you'll know that my wife loves oysters. Per usual, that where we started. We got the oyster and a bottle of prosecco. A few mimosas to start the day. My friend arrived almost exactly when the oysters and bottle came out. We chatted and perused the menu. We were in no rush as we drank through the first bottle. My wife got the pizza that was on the menu. I forgot what they called it, but it was good. Nice crust, a savory sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. My friend ordered avocado toast I believe or something very similar. She's a psycho path that runs 20 miles every morning so she was ready to take in carbs. She tore through it like a starving cheetah tears through a gazelle. I had an omelette which was pretty good, but nothing that knock me out of my seat. It could have used a bit of seasoning but in all decent. We ordered a second bottle and that is when their DJ began playing music. He played soft jazz which definitely was not the vibe we were looking for. None of the aforementioned mention brought this rating down to a three star review. It was all 4 star worthy accept the service was not great. Far from it actually. Don't worry I still tipped 20% as I feel it's a bare minimum, but he didn't deserve it. As I stated we were seated immediately, but it took our server nearly 15 minutes to even acknowledge us. I didn't know who it would be, but when he finally did all I could think is that he passed our table numerous times prior to stopping. Once he did there was a serious "I do not want to be here" vibe in his body language and tone. My friend who didn't arrive till the oysters and bottle were served missed that initial interaction but immediately noticed it. She an A type and wanted to complain to the manager. I got her to let it go. I know every has there days and this might have been his. Through out our stay here, he rarely checked in on us. As a matter of fact I believe we drank through each bottle before he checked in. This is the sole reason my rating went from a 4 to a 3. I hope the guy was ok, but I wish it could have been something he didn't bring to work with him. No pictures again. Sorry... I really just like to enjoy the moments with the people I am with and forget to take pictures.
