Creamed spinach was not spinach. Tasted like cream only and was unseasoned. Best part of the plate was baked potato ' but came only with cour scream no butter. Jerk chicken plate, best thing was the chicken. But the chicken was overly dry and some was undercooked. Rice was inedible and undercooked. Bell peppers very soggy. Ribs were decent. Prob the "best: thing we had. That's not saying much. Salad can't really go wrong. But Caesar salad was all uncut romaine with a curved bowl that made it difficult to cut the lettuce. Tortilla soup was decent but overly salted. Overall would not recommend it.. Drinks? Had water and sprite. They came y with no refills for any drinks. This review is a compilation of five different dining visits this week during my stay at the Silver Legacy, the sister hotel next door to the Eldorado. Millie's is the only one of the three coffee shop restaurants on the Row to be open every day and early. They are not my first choice, Madame Butterwork's in Circus Circus is the best out of the three. However, they have more limited hours and days of operation (closed mid week and don't open until 7AM). So, my experiences at Millie's this week were generally good. Food was mostly consistently good. Service was a bit erratic a couple times, though generally passable. I found the graveyard shift (before 6AM) particularly challenged because of being under the influence. I do enjoy the atmosphere of Millie's dining areas. It's very pleasant. Portions are suffering from shrinkflation. For instance, they've reduced the number of strips of bacon from three to two on the bacon and eggs breakfast and the casino breakfast, since my last visit to Reno. The effects of Brandon on the economy are innumerable. I am thankful though that Cafe Central is temporarily closed for remodeling, otherwise Millie's would be relegated to reduced hours like Madame Butterwork's. Then I would be forced to dine there, which is typically subpar and rarely approaching decent. read more

We had a great experience here. We started as a smaller group, but on our way over there, gathered a few more family members, and asked for a table for 8. This was a bit hard for them, but they gave us a booth, and let us pull a table up to it, and we were comfortably able to accommodate everyone. We were fretted by our server, provided menus, and he came back with coffee (mugs and a refill carafe), and waters. After we had a few minutes to review the menu, they took our orders. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the food arrived, and that everyone's orders came out correctly and hot. I went traditional eggs Benedict, with hash browns. Photo attached - but it was a huge portion of food (exactly what you may be looking for after a night out/night at the casino). I've been to Millies a number of times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. The food is usually hot and service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommend the Down and Dirty breakfast; an absolute winner (especially if you're hungover ha!). Their coffee/dessert bar is also highly recommended. They have so many tasty treats that are freshly made and you really can't go wrong with any of them. My personal favorite is the fruit tart! I love coming here for dessert after a show or a night on the town. My most recent experience was okayish, but certainly not up to the quality I've had in times past. I haven't been in a while, so my husband and I decided to stop in the other day for breakfast on his day off. We got seated quickly which is always a plus, but it did take a while for our server to come over. From what I noticed, the hostess appeared to seat sections too quickly and servers were becoming overwhelmed. I noticed the menu has definitely shrank (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but they've kept their popular items! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omlette. Definitely not a favorite choice; the ham was very salty and the cheese was hardly melted at all. Toast was served with the meal, but I was never offered an option as to which type I would like as it seemed the server was rushed. The hashbrowns were quite tasty though! My husbands chicken fried steak didn't seem cooked all the way, but the taste was good. Unfortunately our server never came back to check on us nor did she bring us our check. It wasn't until we walked up to the counter to tell the cashier where we were seated she came up to give it to us. While this certainly wasn't the best experience I've had here, I assume it could have just been an off day and it certainly won't deter me. In regards to diners, Millies24 has everything you could want. However, it comes at a steeper price than others in the area. Located in the Eldorado, it is usually one of the busier restaurants that are opened. With that being said, we were still seated right away and the service was extremely fast/friendly. I had the Uncle Joe's omelette with the usual sides of hash browns and toast. The omelette was huge and filling. Stuffed with ground beef, spinach, onions and mushrooms, each bite had a decent array of flavors. My one opportunity noted was the ground beef was barely seasoned and lacked flavor. Hash browns and toast did their job! I don't often find myself in the casino restaurants but I would definitely come back and explore this menu! read more

After reading the menue 5 times I decided to go with some Steak and eggs which was cooked perfectly. I ate everything except for a little piece of fat. Loved this place. Located inside El Dorado. They are open 24hrs as of this review. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fam and I came here twice during breakfast and the same awesome experience. During my visits, there were no lines. The guy who sits customers was very prompt and very welcoming. The service was great. The portion was perfect, not overly too much nor small. Both days we were here were weekdays, there were plenty of staff around. The coffee server was very attentive, keeping my mug refilled. The main servers on both days were also nice, very courteous. 4 stars because, the check out register was either moving slow or they really needed more than one. Both days, I had to wait in line for at least more than 5 minutes just to pay my meals. A line should not build up, up to the point that incoming customers had to cut the line just to get in. Overall, the place has a chill vibe, perfect place for breakfast. Will definitely come back here next time fam and myself are in the area. read more

Every time I come here the customer service are always excellent. I got their special entree of the day and it was a prime rib. They cook my steak the way I want. A waiter keep coming back to refill or drink, that was a plus. It was Thanksgiving and with us working during the holidays, we still wanted to be able to celebrate the holiday without having to do anything crazy. Of course, we knew a spot that is always usually open and that place is Millies24! Millies is located in the Eldorado Resort Casino. Right outside they have their bakery, Tovoli Gardens, with all of their sweets presented in a glass case. They also have gelato, too. As for the restaurant, they recently (a couple of years ago) renovated their dining space and it's very spacious. Their menu has your common diner foods including breakfasts, soups, salads and sandwiches, steaks, and much more. Thanksgiving was decently mellow and we were able to get a table right away. Of course, Millies offered a special three course meal to celebrate the occasion. For starters, you could choose from their Soup of the Day or their House Garden Salad. Next, would be their Roasted Turkey served with candied yams with marshmallows, cornbread stuffing, green beans, and cranberry relish. Lastly, you had a choice of pumpkin, apple or pecan pie with whipped cream. This Thanksgiving three course meal would cost $21.95. My room mate and I had a couple of Friendsgivings earlier in the week and had more than enough turkey and gravy. With that being said, we took a further look at our menu. Our server that night was Tyler and was very energetic throughout our dinner service. He was kind, friendly and on top of things. My room mate decided to order their 10 oz Slow Roasted Prime Rib, which also came with a salad and I ordered their Chicken Romano, which came with cheesy garlic bread. Their prime rib was pretty moist, tender and juicy. The horse radish and au jus added that perfect touch. As for my Chicken Romano, it was very saucy, which wasn't a bad thing. The chicken was lightly breaded and crispy and tasted great with their creamy marinara sauce. The steamed vegetables were nice to have, although were a little watery. Other than that, we both enjoyed our meals and left the restaurant happy. It may not have been the most conventional Thanksgiving dinner, but our food was simply delicious. We stayed at the Silver Legacy and decided to try Millie's again. The last time we ate here, I was with a large group and the food was not good, but the service was decent. I was disappointed this visit. Our server was inattentive and only showed up to take our order and give us our food, we had to get our own silverware and he was ghost, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Food took about 20 minutes and it was not good again. I got the chicken fried steak with biscuit and gravy with two eggs any way and I kind of regret getting it. It was bland, I added a whole bunch of pepper to season it, and later had to dump a whole lot of hot sauce on it to eat more of it (I was starving and would eat cardboard at that moment). The eggs were good, but the chicken fried steak made me kept examining it - it was spongy, like it was left in the freezer for too long and then fried. I only ate a few bites of the biscuit underneath, but it was not baked through, so I left it on the plate. It was not worth the price. read more

We were in Reno to watch my daughter's game and we stayed at the Silver Legacy Hotel. If you have never stayed here, the Silver Legacy is attached to two other hotels, El Dorado and Circus Circus. There are many dining options and we went to Millies in the El Dorado. It was very busy and the staff worked hard. My table had three of us but only two silverware sets. Our drink order was taken quickly and brought out. I just had a coffee and a water. Coffee wasn't that great. Tasted like it had been sitting for a while. I had the 2 eggs and sausage which comes with toast. It was pretty good and my eggs came out how I ordered them! My son had 2 pancakes and my wife had French toast. I tried a bite of each of their dishes and thought they were both good. Although I didn't think the coffee was great, I was never offered a refill which seems to be very standard at most restaurants especially diner type places. Overall, I liked Millies. If you're staying within one of the three hotels attached then it's a good spot for a meal. No need to walk outside especially if the weather is bad. read more

I asked for no tomatoes but it came out with no tomatoes and no lettuce. The food took 20 minutes to come out and it was only alright. Nothing to rave about. The fries was a bit stale which was disappointing because I love fries. My sister got their Thai style beef. The veggies were overly cooked and rice was too mushy. My wife and her friends went to a comedy show on Saturday night at the Silver Legacy and had decided to grab something to eat prior. Looking back they all agreed they should've planned ahead and made a reservation somewhere. After going to several restaurants within Silver Legacy and Eldorado all which had a long wait time, they ended up at Millies. They were immediately seated and provided menus, however, no one came to their table for at least five minutes. No one provided water, and no one inquired about appetizers or drinks from the adjoining bar. And the funny thing was they weren't that busy. When someone did come to the table they inquired about wine and decided upon a bottle of wine to share at the table. Due to the fact that they were under some time constraints when they ordered the wine they also ordered two appetizers and their entrées. About the 10 minute point after ordering, one of the ladies got up and went to the bar to ask when they were getting the bottle of wine. The server returned shortly after with the bottle and wine glasses. The appetizers arrived in a timely manner and looked great however, they then discovered they did not have enough utensils at the table. Based on the lack of service one of the ladies decided to go to another table to obtain enough silverware and napkins for the table. At the time the wine was delivered my wife asked for a glass of water. The server did not ask any of the other ladies if they would also like a glass of water and incidentally the water was never brought to my wife. When the food arrived the server came with a large tray to deliver their entree's however he did not offer to take the appetizers and dishes from the small table. My wife again asked for water and they did bring her some. The food looked and tasted very good. The ladies ordered a second bottle of wine which came out in a reasonable timeframe. Overall food was good but the service was terrible. This is our second bad experience at the restaurants in Silver Legacy and Eldorado. They seem to have the kitchen figured out, why can't they figure out the service aspect? In addition, they are losing out on money due to the slow service. I can only assume they're missing out on additional drink orders as well as dessert orders because people are simply frustrated by the time they finish their meal. read more

This was a fantastic experience and unexpected given all the crappy yelp reviews I saw. We were in Reno for a concert, and looking for food at 10:45 pm after the concert. None of the other sit down restaurants I tried after looking at yelp were open or offering food. In frustration, we went to Millies as we were staying in the Row. There was a 12 min wait at 11:45 pm. However once we got in, our server, an old Asian man, was quick and very efficient. Very friendly too. The chicken quesadilla was tasty, with smoky taste of the shredded chicken, nicely spiced. The fish and chips were awesome with good quality cod, perfectly cooked and a crisp but light outer coating. We'd asked for crispy fries and got freshly made crisp fries. Huge portions, which justified the price. We took our leftovers to go as the food was good but unless you have access to reheating equipment, I would recommend sharing a plate. This food is not good cold. So if you are in Reno looking for food options after 10 pm, this is the spot! read more
