We were in Reno for four days for the races and stayed at the Eldorado. Millie's food is good, but unfortunately you have to wait awhile to get it. They have limited waitresses and just watching, 4-5 people standing around up front doing nothing when they could have been helping these poor ladies bus tables and help take orders for the clientele. it is sad how lazy people have become and jus won't work together. read more

The food is not very good, like at all. I ordered the enchilada's suiza. You can't go wrong with enchiladas, just throw on a butt ton of cheese and they're awesome. But these enchiladas were soggy and sloppy. The sauce was not very flavorful and the rice was dry. My daughters ordered the spaghetti and the sauce was thin and runny. However, the desserts were good. The chocolate birthday cake one was absolutely delicious. They are a bit pricy, but I would just stick to those. read more

This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. My boyfriend and I came here late night after a bar crawl for a quick bite before we hitched a ride back home. Now keep in mind we got to the restaurant at about 1:45. We knew they probably had a crazy night and we were not expecting a 5 star dining experience. We ordered right when we sat down and asked for chicken wings and a BLT. Considering it was so late and we were just wanting to get home quickly I told our server Tyler that the food could come out however it was ready. (I figured the BLT would come first because they're fast) We over heard our server tell another table the food was taking a little longer and he apologized. We figured our food would be the same. We did not leave this place until 3:45!! We sat there for 2 hours. They had no explanation for me as to why the food was taking so long. I asked multiple times what the issue was and they had no answer. Our server Tyler, you could tell was flustered and trying his best. Probably 6 other tables ate and left in the time it took for us to get our food. I inquired what the issue was and no answer. He promptly told me he would get his manager to handle the situation. I over heard him speaking with another server about how his female manager was causing an issue in the kitchen and was not allowing him to run food or resolve our issue. I requested they send the manager to the table so I could express my disappointment in the situation. A completely different manager unrelated to this issue came to the table maybe 15 minutes later. He did comp our meal and try his best to diffuse our frustration but I was just baffled how we had been sitting for two whole hours and the food was still not there! I feel like the manger should have come over to our table the moment an issue was addressed and their kitchen should have made our order a top priority after the first time we asked what was taking so long. The wait was inexcusable and the fact that they had no answers for us was mind blowing. I myself work in the service industry and I understand food taking a little longer then normal but two whole hours?! We ended up taking it to go because at that point we weren't even hungry and just needed to go to bed. I explained one last time how disappointed I was in the situation and we took off with our food. When we finally got home we opened up the boxes to have a few bites before we went to bed. It smelled great and it was still warm. I took one bite out of our two hour chicken wings, they had little to no sauce and not fully cooked. Still pink all the way After two hours of waiting and the most horrible dining experience of my life I couldn't even eat the food! I waiting two hours for pretty much nothing. The manager did write us a $50 credit to come back but after my nightmare of an experience I will NOT find myself here again. This experience was absolutely mind blowing and just flat out inexcusable. If I would give 0 stars I could. After my first review, clearly this restaurant and company wasn't happy with me. I responded to their comment on my post via email and apologized if I offended anyone but I was very displeased with the service I received and was still unhappy. They had the audacity to ask me to apologize publicly for my review?? I'm not the one who messed up here people. Went here for late breakfast/early lunch. It was busy and there was a small wait. Our first impression was not good. We almost left because the host, a younger guy, had zero enthusiasm, and poor communication skills (when we reached the host station he just stared at us, no greeting, no anything. We had to ask if there was a wait and if there was a waiting list). Later while eating we watched him saunter around with a demeanor that showed he had no interest in working. We did get seated within about 5 minutes and from there the service was good, the food was very tasty and the portions are LARGE! Unless you eat a lot of food, two people could share a sandwich and fries and be very satisfied. A good experience overall. Diners are as American as apple pie and the frequency at which I actually visit them makes me darn close to the most unpatriotic person in the country. Diners have been a staple in Reno from the very early days, with casinos offering .99 Steak and Eggs and other greasy spoon classics to draw in the late night/early morning crowd looking to try their luck or work off a rough night out on the town. We've still got some of that, but today the diner scene is small but strong, with a number of local die hard favorites that I'm terribly guilty of not having tried! Recently though, I broke my streak and during a lunch meeting, I got to check out Millies24 in the Eldorado. Located in the old Tivoli Cafe, they've done a great job cleaning it up and modernizing the space and branding. The menu is all over the place, just like a diner should be, with Mexican dishes, Asian inspired rice bowls, classic salads, burgers, sandwiches, and a huge breakfast menu served all day. I had the MC Reno Burger, which has pepper jack, pickled jalapeños, fried onion strings, and a spicy thousand island dressing, served on a toasted ciabatta roll that was the perfect size and texture to hold up to a juicy burger. But I got to tell you, the best part of the burger is that they grind the meat fresh in house and they'll cook it to your liking! While I didn't meet any Millies while I was there, whoever she is, her spirit is certainly alive and has inspired a new 24 hour diner in the Eldorado. This is a great spot for lunch or dinner, but for me, I'm coming here when the night has gotten the best of me and I'm wandering around downtown looking for something warm, delicious and comforting. read more

Unfortunately, the burger was overcooked and dry and reminded me of Burger King as I requested for medium. The bread was good, but definitely the burger should not be "famous" as stated. My wife ordered the prime rib, but it was supposed to be medium rare, but it is a little bit more cooked than we expected. The fries were so so as well. Service was just okay. The only affordable menu item was a serving of 3 beef taquitos for $5.49. They were the perfect greasy ending I needed to close out the night. They were fresh and came with a good amount of guac, sour cream and shredded lettuce. The service from the cashier was standard, what can you expect for being up at 2:30 am. However, the service at their coffee bar was lacking. I stood there for a few minutes with 2 staff members working and no other customers without any assistance. They were just doing busy work, so no reasonable excuse as to why I didn't get any help. I gave up and walked away. She said it was good. Our son had the wings. It was a good amount. It came with veggie sticks and ranch. When I asked him how it was all he could say was, "mmmmm". This review is based on two visits one for breakfast and one for dinner. I want to first off state this restaurant itself is a great place to visit for a meal. Make no mistake this is pricy a 3 meatball and 2 thin garlic bread slice appetizer is like 13 dollars. My SO was recovering from a case of bad food poisoning (bad food was not from inside casino) and for breakfast the staff was excellent in accommodating and making sure my SO could eat something light. Cheers to the morning Staff! For dinner service was a different experience Our server Moorgesh and only our server was being extremely rude toward us and wouldn't let my SO get a kid item (cheese quesadilla) since their stomach was still uneasy and was forced to get something they couldn't finish. When a busser David asked us what our drink orders were Moorgesh shouted no and escorted him away and then didn't ask what our drink orders were. His behavior was highly unprofessional throughout our visit. I understand food service is hard as someone who worked in food service but you never take your bad night out on a customer. One of my favorites places to go to for a late night cup of gelato since it's open 24/7! I recommend the cookies & cream and coffee flavors. Samples are available upon request. They have large proportions, so one scoop of gelato is sufficient: total cost for one scoop is $4.06. Bring a friend and you can both order different flavors and share! The pastries looked amazing as well, but I have yet to try them. My intention every time I go here is for the gelato! We found this little spot and I ordered the down and dirty breakfast. After about two bites, I felt sick to my stomach... and I am not a picky eater. Millie's is a "sometimes place." It's late, everything else is closed, 24 hour casino coffee shop. It's mediocre food. Breakfast food is hard to get too wrong. My husband was not a fan of their Turkey Club on one visit, which he swore we'd never go back. On that visit, I believe we had our grown children who also were not overly happy with their food either. Our good experience every time would be one of the servers, Kam. He is ALWAYS so pleasant and friendly! We've had him a couple times. When he has not been our server, he comes over to our table to say "hi!"
