I've been a loyal customer here for years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I recently brought my car in and was charged nearly $1,800 for a repair involving a part that costs a fraction of that price. After doing my own research and speaking with others afterward, I genuinely feel like I was taken advantage of. I understand businesses need to make money, but this felt extremely excessive and unfair especially for a long-time customer who trusted this shop. Instead of transparency and honesty, I left feeling upset, frustrated, and completely ripped off. The problem wasn't even fixed and I was left with additional problems upon leaving the shop including there being zero oil in my car after they tried to tell me they changed my oil as a courtesy. Took my 05 Buick here on June 7 2025 in for an oil change, was told I needed to replace my CV axle and suspension. The manager did not make this sound like it was an option, though later claimed he did not pressure any decisions. Less than a month later, the cv axles installed by this Midas came undone from the control arm as this Midas had not set the cotter pins yo lock in the axle. The manager stated that the pins must have backed out, which doesn't make sense for properly set cotter pins. While they redid the repair at no charge, they also stated they would fix a trim piece that had broken while the car was in their care as well as a sensor on the left front tire. After 3 months of waiting for a call that the parts were ready and i could bring my buick in, i have given up. You'd expect more from dropping over 4K on repairs. read more

I would say to get a second opinion before proceeding with Midas' diagnostic and repair recommendations. The staff were friendly and professional, they were able to look at my truck right when I arrived without an appointment. I brought my truck in for a $100 part and knew I could expect to pay upwards of $500 for the skilled labor (diagnosed by the dealership but their timeline was a week out so I brought it to Midas). The guys at Midas determined that I needed a full overhaul of various components to my engine with an estimate cost greater than 5 times my original quote from the dealership. I got a second opinion from a friend's preferred mechanic and he was surprised that Midas was recommending full replacements for a relatively new truck (2021) that wasn't involved in a collision. I was willing to pay extra for Midas' ability to fix up my truck faster than the dealer (appreciating skilled talent and knowing that I couldn't do the work myself) but this was pure swindling. The next mechanic replaced the part in less than 3 hours and came in under $400 ($2,200 less than Midas) and my truck is good as new again. I do not recommend Midas unless you like being tricked into trading-in random parts of your car and paying extra for it. read more

Do not use this location!!!! In March 2025, I took my car in because the A/C wasn't cooling. Jon, the manager said if he did a complete a/c replacement it would have a life time guarantee. I asked if it would be honored at any Midas location, which he said yes......a complete lie. I told him to go ahead and replace the whole a/c system. When I got my car back, I didn't make it more the a mile down the road when my car started over heating. I immediately went back, and Jon told me they just needed to top it off with coolant, that the mechanic must of forgot after he replaced some hose. So the topped it off and away I went. It wasn't a 2- weeks later, my a/c wasn't working. To make a long story short, after 4 a/c compressor in 3 months, I finally took it to Nissan to get fixed, where they said, I had a complete compressor failure, sending metal though out my system and needed a whole new system. Between what I paid Midas and what I paid Nissan, it has cost about $6500.00. I have been in contact with Jon for the last month and a half for a complete refund. He just tells me, "he is working on it. He just needs a couple of more days." I have always had good experience with Midas till I went to this location. I recommend taking your vehicle to the Midas on Alma School Road. Clayton will be honest and actually fix your car. read more

Such a bad service! Came in to switch just the brake pad and they said I have to replaced both rotor and pad. Okay is fine $400 for the whole set. Brand new brake should be fine.... But no... still making squeaky sound! Gave it one month to try it out and the sound still not going away. Manager said I can stop by anytime to get it fix easy. I stopped by and wow 35min wait just to check and then to fix the problem that they created (that's gonna be another couple hours)?!! What a joke. I came back 1.5 hours later to them telling me they cannot align my car due to a repair I have to have done. No phone call to tell me they could not do it. So my time was completely wasted. I asked why I was not called to be informed as I would have come back earlier and was given a shrug and dismissed as a male customer came inside the building. After that customer left I was given my keys and told "bye". No acknowledgment. No apology. No quote for any services. I have never felt more disrespected and dismissed. When he first reached out via text to talk about my car he introduced himself, my mom also told she witness him defuse a situation with an upset customer and she ended up leaving very happy and confident in him. When I brought my car in he talked me through the inspection and showed me my past history of what o had already had done, which I've never done or asked for but very appreciative of him for doing that! I came in for an oil change but have recently been experiencing rattling when going above 60mph so I also asked them to give me a diagnosis on that, I took my car in a couple months ago to the dealership to do an all over check before my warranty ended so I figured if it's anything it's something simple since nothing was found then! Initially, I thought I was in good hands but found that Jon was dishonest. I came in with a flat tire. I shared that I had just had all 4 tires replaced at another business, I did have a spare in the car. Jon sold me a tire at 2x the price, and said he could have the tire on in 2 hours - the wait being due to the tire coming from the warehouse. I agreed ONLY because of the 2 hour wait (knowing it would be longer at my original tire place). As he described the warranty of the tire, I reiterated that the tire being replaced was brand new and asked what he would require to get the warranty covered in this scenario. He said that pictures should suffice to get a credit back - withholding that it would only go towards the replacement of that exact tire. I called my previous tire place & explained the situation, and they said they would only offer a credit towards the replacement of that exact tire. So, I told Jon I wanted to just get my spare on so I could drive to my original tire place & get my warranty service. He refused. He claimed that once he ordered the tire he couldn't refund the transaction, claimed that he would be stuck paying for tire. Later, way after 2 hours had passed & he then said my service would be complete at 6 hours(!!) later, he said I would be charged a restocking fee which amounted to 80% of the tire cost of if I cancelled the transaction. Knowing that I was not happy with being lied to and fleeced, he did reduce the price to only $60 over what my other tire shop charged me for the exact same tire & service. The only nice thing I have to say is that Kristen was helpful & polite, and I appreciated the help she was able to offer me. In summary: dishonest, greedy, predatory, and thieving. This place is the worst!!! Jon will tell you anything, which most is not truthful. After a while of calling him to make my situation right, whomever answer the phone would just hang up on me....three times. In my case, I took it to a different Midas which they tried to help. They said they would put in a new A/C compressor and send Jon back the old one. This was in late June or first part of July. This would be the fourth compressor starting from March. The manager said Jon was getting the compressor from Auto Zone and that he hated putting it in, that his policy was no Auto Zone parts. He finally gets it, after a month of me calling Jon about every three days, he puts it in, blew cold air for about 45min and quit. The manager said that it was probably going to need a whole new A/C system including the expansion valve which means the dash has to come out. That he really needed to get out of the middle because of the parts used. It was so bad, he recommend that I only take it to Nissan to fix. Nissan checked it out, said the compressor exploded, sending metal pieces through out my system, clogging up the expansion valve and no telling what else. Nissan made a video of everything, gave me a list of parts with prices, which I sent to Jon telling him he needed to refund my money. He said he would. After 45 days of calling him every week wanting to know where my refund was, I would get the same answer, "he just needed a couple of more days." It has been about a month now since I last called him, no refund, no telephone call from him. Jon will tell you anything but the truth! When I politely indelicately I wasn't interested, she slammed the repair bill on the desk and shouted : "I'm going to get my manager because I won't tolerate you". Very disappointed with my experience with this location. They don't value customers time. I tend to go to the smaller shops for this very reason...But I stumbled upon a Groupon for a $50 alignment so I figured "why not". My appt was scheduled for 4pm & i arrived at 3:48pm. I was greeted quickly, and was then told that my car would be done in 60-90 minutes. I was planning on leaving (i live about a mile away) but I thought 60-90min wasn't too long of a wait. Now its 5:50pm and im being told that they're about to start my car once they get this other car out. I understand things happen, but it would've been nice to get an update before waiting almost 2hrs without my car even being pulled in. Now its a little past 6pm, my car is in the stall, and I hear "whats going on with the Lexus, its been sitting there for 20 minutes". Sucks to hear, but atleast the front desk guy is acknowledging that they're wasting time out there. Shortly after i am being brought the printout of my initial alignment. Im told that they can only adjust the front toe because my car is lowered. I know the toe is the only thing that is adjustable in the front, but I also know for a fact that there is adjustments that can be made to the rear camber. I work on all my own cars, including being the one that just took off the aftermarket suspension arms to replaced them with the oem units & changed my inner and outer tie rods. I also installed a simple "SPC rear camber kit" which allows the camber to be adjusted an additional positive degree. So for those that are still reading this. What really happened is...Midas booked too many customers on a Friday. They didn't start my 4pm appointment until after 6pm. The location closes at 7pm. They wanted to get off in time, so they made up an excuse on why they couldn't adjust the rear of my car. Then said they wouldn't charge me as if they were doing me a favor, then rushed me out the door as everyone was cleaning up the stalls and closing the doors. Then I go outside to some sort of stains on my seats. I waited until the next day to recheck (giving them the benefit of doubt hoping its just sweat). It wasn't...so I clean my seats and proceed to adjust my rear camber(which they said couldn't be done). Now my car drives straight. Atleast they did the front toe correctly. Don't get any major service here. Nick just refused to service our vehicle because we pointed out that our tires were never rotated. We know this because they tore up one of our rims after stripping a bolt. He then said he couldn't rotate it because it had worn on the inside, WHICH WOULDN'T have happened if they did their job in the first place. The only reason we had to come back is because they botched our steering rack and pinion replacement and now the steering wheel isn't straight and everything clicks when we go over bumps. This is the third chance we've given this location. And to think, he could have just owned up to the mistake and rotated our tires. Do not use this Midas or any other. Went in for AC issue . They broke a piece decided to duck tape it and not tell me and told me my AC was fine. Two weeks later I take it into different company who took a woman coming in with an issue seriously and they found right away with diagnostic test and visualization that the motor and wiring was loose. Called back Midas to talk about fixing piece they broke and manager Clay right away tried to say it was broke when came in when I know and have proof it was not and he trying to back pedal staying he let me know he was going to duck tape something. Will be contacting corporate and BBB and experience with others. If you break something that is understandable please have integrity to fix it rather than deny . Would not talk to a man like that but taking advantage of woman. Also calling me after to say you offered to fix the part that the shop broke is you covering up for when you told me you would not fix it and tried to state you told me you were duck taping my car. I would never agree to putting duck tape anywhere on my car. I hope the phone call was recorded cause you raising your voice and denying to fix it is all in there. First of all do not go here as nobody in this business is wearing a mask at all. I'm sorry but I shouldn't be scared to get into my vehicle after it's been worked on. If employees cannot even wear a mask when interacting with their customers then they aren't being safe. I'm a high risk and have been doing everything possible to stay safe and this is not the way to handle the current spike in numbers. Next I dropped my car off at 10am. My vehicle was not ready to be picked up until 2pm. 4 hours to do an oil change and change 2 filters. I then got into my vehicle and there was black oil stuff all over my passenger seat. I told the gentleman inside and then a garage guy comes (without a mask) takes my car next door to "fix it" well how he fixed it was drenching my entire seat on whatever he decided he could find without me seeing. During our conversation, she informed me that the store refuses to help me with my issues this ahs been going on for three months,i asked for turn signal and actuators to be replaced,midas installed the wrong turn signal and didn't change the actuator. The gearbox was supposed to be new then i was called and told it had to be rebuilt and based of the way my car drives the job was not done i asked for proof they rebuilt it and that they sent it to another shop to have gearbox rebuilt no reply, when talking to corporate i was informed that my gearbox was leaking a total lie, they charged me for this repair and so called sent it to another shop, but you are telling corporate that it was a gearbox leak none of this makes sense. Tempe Midas mechanics and manager pure crooks, i am a hard-working father of two,i spent 2100 with this shop to have the most important jobs not done STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL BE ROBBED, the manager total liar telling corporate they called me and tried to resolve offered me 60.00 for my turn signal rediculous. I had a catalytic converter replaced due to a theft. 8 months later I took it in for emissions test and it failed. Turns out the wrong converter and O2 sensor were installed. I felt they should have refunded my money or at least covered my out of pocket cost to replace it. They refused, giving me all kinds of excuses rather than taking their product back and giving me some form of credit. If a muffler shop installs the wrong exhaust parts, what does that say about their knowledge? If you want good quality honest work don't go here!! Here are two estimates for my car the left is my regular mechanic. However I took it to Midas for an oil change because I didn't want to go up north to see my regular mechanic. At Midas they gave me an estimate for what my vehicle needed. I then took my car to my trusting loyal mechanic who has INTEGRITY told me that I did need some of the things that MIDAS told me but not all of it. Then they even went and decided they won't accept a Groupon I bought. In summary, they quoted me $189 for the full job without the coupon. But $220 for the job with $75 Groupon. Came in to do an oil change and tire rotation with a groupon I purchased. Man up front, who said he was the owner, told me my brakes, rotors and back tires were bad. Little did he know, I was a Service Advisor at 2 shops before. I asked what level was my brakes and he said they were at 1 and 2. I felt this was off since I had my brakes measured with my tech a few months ago and they were at 6. I told him show me and we went out to see my rotors can be resurfaced with new pads, and my pads were def not at 2. I had him pull out a measurer and they measured at 5 and 6. He tried to claim 1 pad on the right was at 2 but I was done with him. He was very unprofessional and told me if I want to drive on bad pads, then go right ahead. How he felt he was still right when we measured them together and they werent at 2 was beyond me. I get it, make recommendations when things are getting low, but dont press me with false info and then go back n forth with me when I call you out. THIS WAS THE OWNER!!! Wont have to worry about me coming back... Updated - now I have to go back because they forgot to put my ac lines caps back on and oil spilled all over my engine cover.... Ughhhh!!! read more

I purchased a Groupon for an alignment $50. I called to inquire if I needed to book an appointment or if I could just come in. I asked about how long it would take. I didn't know if I had to drop it off or if I could wait for it. The employee on the phone said it takes about an hour. Everything is great so far. I get to the location. I let them know I have a Groupon for an alignment. The counter folks were very nice. They asked what type of car I had, then oooo. Because you have a Mercedes Benz (C350) it is going to be an extra $50. Why is that? I asked. A manager or supervisor came into the situation to explain. The MBs take longer, require more sophisticated tools and precision. I wasn't going to argue. One of the reasons I bought a C-class MB is because they are one of the most basic cars you can get. They are super easy to work on, everything is generally pretty easy to get to and typically don't require special tools. I left the car with them and took a walk since it was only going to take about 45 minutes. Hmm, the person on the phone said it would take about an hour. The person at the counter said MBs take longer, as did the manager/supervisor. Now they say it's going to be less than an hour. Fine, i go for my walk and return 45 minutes later. When I returned, I saw my care out front. When I went in to pay, the employee went over my bill, explaining that my car only has 2 of the three typical adjustments and they send me a picture of the computer analysis of my alignment. Everything was back in the green, as it should be. So what went wrong? I feel like Midas charged me an additional $50 just because I have a luxury car. I feel like they lied to me about why they needed to charge me extra for: taking longer and greater sophistication in performing the alignment. The $100 is still a little less than what I would have paid at the dealer and about what I'd have paid if I took it to an independent service provider that specializes in European cars. I am very disappointed in Midas. I think what they did is a shady business practice and for $50 they lost a customer for life. I'm not sure if they know the value of keeping a customer, but I'm sure it's more than $50. I will never use any Midas location for any service on my car and would not recommend them to anyone. There are far to many options in the market who will provide fair and honest work. Everything that Midas touches clearly does not turn to gold. Lesson learned. read more

I received an oil change on Friday July 14th and was planning on driving out to California that night, I was about 30 miles out of Phoenix and my oil level light turned on. My oil was low by 2 quarts and there was no leak, Midas just did not put enough oil. I am thankful that I had brake masters check my car and make sure it was ok but it was so late by the time it was fixed that I did not make it out that night had to get a hotel. So upset I was taken advantage of. Every time I come here for just an oil change, a huge bill at the end comes up. Plus when I got there I was the only one there, first one of the day actually, and still took an hour and a half to get out of there. When they finished, my bill came out to 2300!!!!! They had googled a ton of things before hand and print them out for me to see that if I didn't get this taken care, that this was going to happen. Oh and they do financing and can provide a rental if need be LOL. If I wasn't married or had someone to help me out, I literally would've said yes to everything. Took out vehicle to this shop to have our front brakes replaced. they come out after an inspection and tell us we need new shocks/struts because they were leaking. (which they were not) Belts. (There is a serpentine belt, which I recently replaced prior to going there). Also told we need a new timing belt. (car has a timing chain). New air filter ( has a k&n). Car has about 70K miles on it. So we go ahead with the front brakes. 300 later and 2 months. Brakes are vibrating and grinding. So we go back to this same location to have checked. We are told it is out fault because we went cheap route. Cheap? 300 plus for brake service should last a bit longer then a couple of months. They wanted to charge us for a complete brake job again. So basically, I WOULD NOT Recommend this place to work on any vehicle. Poor work, and will not back the warranty we were supposed to have. read more
