Yesterday, I spoke with AZ Auto Doctor staff (Armando, Eddie, etc.) about critical problems starting my 2016 Honda Fit. I got "less-than-satisfactory" service at Tempe Honda, so late this morning, I drove to AZ Auto Doctor for emergency service. I was really in quite a critical state. These people responded so compassionately & promptly to my needs! Miraculously, my Honda was diagnosed and a new starter installed the same afternoon. The dealers charge ridiculous fees and the chain shops like meineke aren't much better, plus you really can't trust these places because you are just a number and a sale to them. A private shop like this clearly understands the value of exceptional customer service and charging clients reasonable fees, while offering top notch high quality service/parts. I choose this shop over other local private shops based on all the good yelp reviews, after getting an honest reasonable $$ estimate, closest proximity to my home, and I love the fact that they offer Saturday hours, which is the KEY to getting busy working professionals/other small business owners who are too busy to get in during the week. I can't even think of anything slightly bad to say or criticize these guys about. They are totally legit and on point with just about everything! I've only been to Az Auto Doctor 2 times but I've been to dozen of auto service shops all over the valley & this is by for the most quality service I've experienced. Ryan and his staff are beyond helpful and extremely knowledgable. Everyone is alway pleasant, the customer service is top notch from how they answer the phone to face to face. I feel valued & my car is valued. The only issue I have is that they are constantly booked & I have to be protective to schedule ahead of time. However, they have reasonable pricing and tailored services specific to Acura & Toyota type cars. I lived in AZ for 4 yrs need you to find an auto place and they told me that whoever worked on my car before did crappy work yet I was traveling back to Missouri after getting $3,600 worth of work done to the front end and it was completely fell apart tie rods were messed up I don't know what they were doing when they did a front end alignment to my car because it never aligned and they tore up the CV axle on passenger side they broke the metal protector under the radiator off and told me that I didn't need it which that's something that protects the car. But in order for them to put it back on they were going to charge me so I found an auto body place to put it on for free. I would not go to these people for anything other than well I wouldn't even go to them for an oil change because my car had almost 200,000 miles on it I've been getting synthetic oil changes for years because of the mileage and he told me that I shouldn't do that it's better to just change the oil every 3 months so I wouldn't even go to these people I would go to somewhere else they took me for all my money and because I didn't drive my car very often I never knew that it was going to fall apart the first time I actually had to take it for 60 minute drive read more

I haven't really 'yelped' until now, and I think this place deserves my first review.... I was having issues with my car, steam started to come out of my engine when my car turned off. I took it by AZ Auto Doctor because I needed to look into getting it fixed, and the mechanic looked at it and informed me that the part I was having issues with was in fact recalled by the dealer. He told us to take it and get it replaced for free, and we did just that. This mechanic could have just lied to make me a customer but he was honest and told me the truth. I was very pleased to come across an honest mechanic without even giving him a penny. Whatever my car needs from now on, I know I will take it there. They are to certainly be trusted. read more

This place is the best shop, hands down. I recommend them to my friends all the time. I have tried other places such as dealerships and "quick lube" type places, but I have been ripped off or drive away feeling unsafe. These guys are the best. They don't do service you don't need, the don't recommend service you don't need! I bought an Acura 3 years ago, just so I could take it to them when the warranty ran out! My previous two cars were not brands they service and I regretted that. My friend took his '92 Legend to AZ Auto Doctor 3 or 4 times insisting he needed new brakes, and every time was told, no, not yet, you have more time on them. My A/C went out in my car in August, so I needed to get it fixed fast. I bought my car (pre-owned) about 18 months ago, so I had was worried of how severe the repairs could Start to get. I was concerned about getting gouged in pricing, but found AZ Auto Doctor on Yelp and I'm so glad I took my car there. I needed a new motor for the A/C unit, and Ryan and his team handled it the next day for cheaper than I had been priced elsewhere. They even checked out the rest of my car and reassured me that apart from getting new tires (which was on my list of upcoming maintenance) that everything else was doing great. I have an Acura RL with 296,000 miles on it. I know my car pretty well. These guys just did a second timing belt; the first one was in 2008 or so--by them as well. By the way, their timing belt price was hundreds of dollars cheaper than anyone else. And, they fixed an oil leak for me. But the oil leak continues. Just today, they said they would have to have the car for a day to get it straightened out. I am writing because these guys are honest. They stand behind their work and their word. They could easily be telling me stories about what's going on with my car.. but they don't. I can live with bringing the car back; I can live with whatever the problem is because they are honest. It's a big deal and hard to find. A bit inconvenient. Sure. But being truthful goes a long way.. and they will pick up the rental when I drop it off.. Turned out great. They are responsible mechanics.. PS I am now at 301,500 and no oil under my car! read more

The antenna went out on my Lexus RX and Lexus wanted to charge me close to $700 to fix it. What can a single mom do but buy an after market part off eBay and pay AZ Auto Doctor $80 to install it. It was even more complicated to replace than they thought, a piece of the old cable had broke off inside, but it was still only $80. Let's start off by saying I created an account on Yelp just so I can tell anyone who is considering AZ Auto Doctor that they shouldn't consider anything else. I have been looking for a dependable, HONEST, service shop since I moved here in August 2015. I just took my Honda Accord to AZ auto doctors for a starter replacement. Prior to that I went to two different Honda certified mechanics. The first estimate was $630 for OEM part and labor (3 hours). The second was $525 for OEM and labor (1 hour). Ryan (manager at AZ) gave me a quote over $100 dollars less than the others with no BS or hassle. Overall experience was 10/10. I couldn't be happier. I love this place. They don't half assed their jobs and they get everything right the first time. Their prices aren't too bad as well. I went to go fix my front breaks and it was only 160 dollars compared to the 260 dollars the car dealership wants to charge me. I always recommend this place to friends and families. The one thing I like about going to this place is that if I have one car problem, that's all they will fix. They don't recommend stuff for me to fix unless it's necessary and worth the money. Their prices are great (almost half of what the dealer charges for an oil change on the Prius!!) My usual routine was to go to the Honda or Acura Stealership to get warranty work done and then after they give me a $5000 suggested repair bill, I take my car to AZ Auto Care and have them do the work for 1/5th the price. It's 1/5th because they repair one thing (not 10) at half of the dealer's price, and then explain to me why I don't need any of the other stuff done at this time, and to come back in several years when I actually do need that done.
