First and foremost I would like to see this place be able to have 9 stars. My understanding is that four or five employees who were working at the same place thought they had a better way to service customers so they quit and opened up a new business, several years ago. Knocked it out of the ball park. Our family would not purchase a used car without having Kevin and the gang check it over. We had to be within the first 100 customers to go with them. Very aboveboard. If they some repair needs to be done you can be assured it needs repaired. In all these years they have taken care of five Jeeps (Some ridden hard and put away wet). AMAZING! I cannot recommend them enough. Their business model is simple yet rare in the auto industry: honesty, integrity, and trust. Context: I had a safety recall done at a Honda dealership (for free, as required), but they quoted me over $6,000 in "urgent" repairs. This felt off--my car was serviced just six months ago with no issues, and I haven't driven it any differently. I went to Choice Auto for a second opinion, and they confirmed none of the issues were urgent. They even had the dealership's quote but still estimated thousands less. One supposed $2,000 "leak" didn't even exist--Choice Auto called BS on it. Of the six repairs the dealership recommended, only one was valid, and even that won't be needed for at least six months. While waiting, I noticed three other women come in. One was advised on some needed services, but another was told--like me--that she owed nothing and wouldn't need repairs for a while. It's rare to find an auto shop that doesn't prey on women, and for that, they have earned my trust and my business. Long story short: Choice Auto won't charge you for work you don't need, their prices are fair, and they're transparent--even to a 26-year-old woman who doesn't know much about cars. Kevin and Company SAVED the day AGAIN! Went to a drive thru oil change place Sat. Nov. 8. I ALWAYS check driveway for oil leaks after change since my car did NOT have oil leaks. There was a couple BIG LEAKS. Went back the next day. They looked under car, all around top! of engine! Basically shrugged, said paraphrasing "everything looked good". After day 2 there was multiple oil drips over driveway! Think dripping while running came to mind. NOT GOOD! Monday drove to CHOICE AUTO REPAIR w/o calling (not advised, since it was a Monday!) I was thinking put on rack, let me know what was wrong, come back another day. Kevin had a mechanic put car on rack. I thought that sounded ridiculous so I called choice auto repair and they quoted me $700 and something. Which was more in line with what I expected. I have been coming to Choice for close to a decade to keep my older vehicles road worthy. As a woman, there are definitely mechanics who will try to take advantage of you, but I have never experienced that here. They'll tell you what's wrong, where it stands on the priority list if it's a costly repair, and their prices are fair. But because they're so good, demand is high. Don't be surprised if you have wait a week or more for service. I have gone elsewhere when I couldn't wait, and I always regret it. Buying a new car is too expensive. Can't thank Kevin and Dan enough. My daughter is a student at ASU and had an issue with her Infiniti. Given I live out of state, didn't know who to get it towed to and unfortunately, had it towed to a less reputable shop who charged us $200 for a diagnostic and told us the engine was blown. After consulting with Yelp & ASU parents via social media, found Choice Auto. They quickly diagnosed the problem (no charge for the diagnostic) and replaced the coolant hose that had blown (no engine issue) for less than the first shop had charged for a diagnostic. We appreciated the integrity & competent staff, so we brought our minivan to him from out of state to get the brakes & rotors replaced on our recent trip out. While driving on the freeway undercarriage shield of my car popped off and folded under itself. As much as I loved hearing the sound of pieces of my car dragging across the pavement I decided to visit this shop to see if they could help. Tyler, one of the mechanics/techs helped me as soon as I got there and had me back on the road within a matter of minutes. He went above and beyond to help me at no charge and even replace some of the pieces that seemed to have gotten lost when the shield popped off. Super grateful for this place (especially Tyler!) My daughter's front turn signal stopped working so she stopped by a parts store close to her work to buy the bulb, but they told her they couldn't install it for her. Fair enough, so they referred her to the national-chain auto repair shop next door and they quoted her 90.00 because they said they may need to disassemble the whole headlight assembly. Thought that price was too high so I checked a few places here on Yelp and found Choice. Called them up and spoke to a couple of guys and they said for her to bring it on in. My daughter hot-footed it over there, the guys took a look and she was out of there in a couple of minutes - no charge and with a perfectly working turn signal. Awesome service, and I'm so glad I found these guys. In this day and age, service like this is hard to come across, so I appreciate it when I see it. Nice guys as well, and we are grateful for them taking the time to fix it for her, especially when it was close to the end of their day. We were customers since right after they opened- and trusted them 100%. We recommended Choice to everyone we heard needed a mechanic. Last time we brought our car in, they were supposed to replace the computer and re-program the new one to the car. Instead we were billed for a radio module. We didn't get the old parts back (never had any reason to ask previously, either). Not only didn't it fix the problem, but there were new ones (like the seat position memories don't work right), and the radio buttons on the steering wheel don't function correctly. It's been well over a year, but I still feel burned. I used to deal with Kevin, but he hasn't had time to talk to us except in-person for the three years since we stopped going there. There's a nearby shop that seems okay. But we don't know them. We have moved a 2-3 miles further from Choice, but I'd be looking for a new shop anyway. read more

I needed an alternator replaced for a 2004 Ford Escape, just replaced it in 2020. I knew there were some wiring issues from that fix. I took it in to Choice Auto, requested new alternator and asked the owner to make sure the wiring is fixed correctly, after a $900 cost and 4 months the alternator went out again (?), another repair shop looked at it and said the wiring was never fixed (missing insulation, shorting out). The owner at Choice Auto assured me that the wiring was fixed multiple times. I used to trust this place but not anymore I had to fork out $1200 to get it done right after only 4 months read more
