I have had two experiences with Brian, owner of Slaughter & Associates. I actually bought a preowned vehicle from him back in May for my son. Brian gave us an honest deal and was a pleasure to work with. The second experience was this week. We live far from this place...we wanted to use Slaughter but tried first to see if another shop closer would be able to help. They couldn't give me a definite answer or make me feel like my car was in good hands without it being way expensive. Decided to make the drive & drop off at Slaughter. The fix was done within a day & the bill was very reasonable. Decided to bite the bullet from now on and make the drive with my car repairs bc I know the shop will be honest & reasonable . Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

Great repair shop. Thorough, fair, and do not sell you services/repairs not needed. Highly recommended. Doing business with them for over 10 years. read more

I found Slaughter & Associates on Yelp because of excellent reviews. I have a 2016 Mazda so I was looking for price honesty, customer service and efficiency and I hit the lottery with Brian Slaughter. Trust the reviews. I feel I have found a place I can keep. read more

Honest quote and completed the job as quoted. Another service wanted to replace a $10K transmission when that wasn't even the problem. Slaughter's review was accurate and much less ($650). Wasn't digging for money, was available to do the work quickly, on time and at a good price! Thank you! read more

Their technician were unable to resolve the problem, but did refund my initial service cost. I find this very honorable and upfront. I would use them again for other services. read more

Since moving to Ahwatukee 4 years ago I was lucky enough to find this place. Brian and his team have always fixed my 3 vehicles to complete satisfaction every time. They were always the most reasonable or in the top 2 when it came to estimates until I stopped looking elsewhere. On one occasion had brought my vehicle in for a second opinion after taking to the dealership. What I found is a truly honest mechanic that saved me over $1,000 of repairs/replacements for my vehicle. Brian only does the work that's needed and doesn't BS his customers into unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend. They have taken care of my Tahoe, Mercedes, and now BMW. This is my mechanic and I recommend to anyone that needs repairs, trouble shooting, and vehicle maintenance to come here. Pros: Honest mechanics that go above and beyond to ensure vehicle is running properly. The prices are very reasonable and typically lower than other shops and definitely dealerships. Again very honest!!! That's so hard to find. Cons: They don't have time specific appointment times. They have appointment days where you take your car and drop off when they open at 7am or you can drop off the night before or earlier than 7am if needed and leave keys in drop box on a specific day. Brian (Owner) will usually call around 10am-11am with an update on what's going on with the vehicle and typically get a time then when car will be finished or if parts are ordered and when they are coming in. For me personally, this is the only mechanic I will go to for anything. Thank you Slaughter & Associates for being so honest and doing the highest quality work! Your the best! read more

I feel lucky to have found Slaughter because there's no shenanigans. Their work is consistently good. When they quote you a price over the phone, it's the same price you pay upon pickup. When you get an oil change, they always tighten things back up so there's no dripping afterwards. My favorite part is that they never try to get you to fix a bunch of other things that you didn't know were wrong with your vehicle. This builds a trusting relationship so that when they do tell me I need to fix something, I can take their word for it because they haven't tried to upsell me ever before. read more

Once again Brian Slaughter has come through for my family. He tells it to you straight and can only be described as open and honest when it comes to whatever repairs are really needed versus what other repair shops may think you need. He's very thorough in the diagnostic phase. If Yelp had 6 stars they would get my vote. Thx to the Slaughter family. read more

Daughter has been her 3 times now with her older American car. They have always been easy to work with, honest in evaluation, and offer reasonable prices. They've never tried to upsell her or add-on things she didn't need now. Repairs all seem good too. Love supporting a local shop ony end. Recommended. FYI: They moved recently a 1/4 mile north of the old shop. 7045 W Galveston St, Ste 2, Chandler, AZ 85226. Just go up 54th St West of the old shop to Galveston and turn right. read more

Their solid reputation on Yelp got me feeling skeptical of their reviews. I can't seem to figure out whether this is just an isolated incident, or a subtle message for me to spend my money elsewhere. I brought my car in in the morning as per my scheduled appt from last week, for routine maintenance and additional workup for it to adapt to desert environment. Naturally I needed oil change, oil filter changed, check engine light check, tire rotations, etc., but I am under the impression that this did not went well with Brian; that I did not give him the power to manipulate my decisions or to provide him the upper hand. Subjectively speaking, I do think that these guys are honest (they did not try to upcharge me for an alignment which I thought I needed), reasonably priced, decent communication via text. Perhaps Brian was really having a bad day, but when I went to pick up my car in I provided him an opportunity to educate me on coolant flush, his response made me feel as if my question was redundant, oh wells nothing our little search engines cannot do nowadays. It's worth noting that my dash cam was unplugged and automatically headlights turned off, that they forgot to reverse these adjustments at the time my vehicle was returned to me. Maybe its just not meant to be. Oh wells, the more autonomy to me to find a auto mechanic that appreciates my business. read more

I cant say enough good words about this business. From this customer's standpoint they are awesome. They have cared for our family car for a number of years and I have found them to be fair and timely in every case. work is well done and affected areas left cleaned when repaired/inspected . I get a call ahead once they have check the car to give me a estimate and explanation of what needs to be accomplished and the car is always ready when promised. There is no job too big or to small for his talented crew, our family really likes Brian and his team. read more

I enjoy any time I converse with Bryan at slaughter and Associates he and his team are amazing and honest he's caring and when he services he make sure he addresses all issues and let's you know what he's doing before he even attempts to start I will always recommend slaughter and Associates and Bryan's team to anyone who needs mechanical work on their vehicle read more

Great work, brought my truck in to have an exhaust leak fixed and the work was done very quickly and everything was perfect.

We found Brian through yelp, we were told by ADS Auto Repair that my son's Jeep needed an $8000 engine replacement. We called Brian for a second opinion he disagreed and replaced the water pump, thermostat and did some routine maintenance. The car has been driving well with no other repairs needed. Brian is honest and has great integrity. Slaughter and Associates is our family auto repair provider, highly recommend. read more

Daughter's car is fairly old - service people did a wonderful in extending it's driving years at a reasonable cost - thanks

An honest mechanic you can trust. They deliver what they promise and when they promise it and charge fair prices for good work. I have done business with slaughter many times. Meineke wanted to charge me $400 to change my thermostat on my overheating Colorado. Obviously, their diagnostics failed to catch the pile of leaves and branches piled up against my radiator. Brian from Slaughter cleaned out the leaves and washed the radiator saving me hundreds. Now my truck runs fine read more

I went in to pay for my parents repairs that Big O said only a new engine would fix (which the problem was a result of Big O servicing, but more on that in their review). I was met by the owner who identified himself as such and began explaining the problem and even having the bad part to show. Seems honest and down to earth. Not at all trying to come up on the fact that I have no idea about car repair, which is what we are all afraid of. We were referred by a friend and now I want to pass the referral on. Would not hesitate to use them in the future. read more

I want to start off by saying i am so glad i found this place! Brian has been fantastic! I originally went to Fletcher's for an oil change and for them to take a look at my roaters (i knew they were wearing down). Fletcher's was quoting me almost $3000 to replace my roaters, strut hats, and mentioned something about some leaks that were causing my roaters to go bad. Since $3000 is a pretty penny, i decided to get a second option. I found Slaughter here on Yelp and all i can say is im an so glad i did. I dropped my car off in the morning and by mid after noon they called me with the results. I had bad roaters and he mentioned my strut hats and possible struts should be replaced. Then he stated that he would like to take a deeper look into why when i turn there is a clunking noise (a noise i heard but didn't think twice about it). What some great service. After they checked over my vehicle (free by the way), they quoted me way less for the work. In fact they stated that nothing was even leaking! In the end the car repairs will only cost me around $890! Drastic difference to Fletcher $3000 they were quoting me! Its not ever day you find an honest car repair shop, but i can honestly say this one is one of them! I have no doubt i will be a continued customer and refer people as much as possible! read more

The most honest!!!! Owner Brian Slaughter and his crew are excellent at their job! They have treated me with integrity, honesty and efficiency! Trust them to give you the same type of service! Incredibly knowledgeable reliable and helpful. Im not too familiar with cars myself but Brian made it easy for me to understand the issues that were happening with my car and not only that, went above and beyond for me in a busy time to ensure my car was fixed. There's stuff like that, that you do not find anywhere else and i can't thank slaughter & associates enough! highly highly highly recommend!!!! read more

My wife found them via Ahwatukee411 and we brought all 3 of our cars to them. Brian went out of his way last week to help me with my BMW. I asked if he would inspect it and let me know of any problems since I had 1 day left under CPO warranty to get them resolved with BMW. Wow, not only did he review the cat thoroughly, but he provided me a detailed breakdown of what I needed to fix. BMW of course didn't believe any of it when I brought it to the dealer only to later call me and confirm Brian's diagnosis. I have many outstanding wear and tear issues to resolve and the car is going right back to Slaughter and Associates for all the work. I have found a trusted auto repair team for life! read more

So deserving. I hit a curb hard, a mile from this store whole passing through town from out of state and punctured the tire. I break out Yelp and see who looks trustworthy and find Brian Slaughter. I call and then drive down. Because it's a Subaru AWD, all 4 tires needed to be replaced, urgently, that day. Long story short, 3 hours later, Brian and his amazing crew had performed a miracle both in the work they did and the price they charged. I give a wholehearted recommendation to Brian and his team. Brian is a man of honor and integrity that very much deserves all the 5-star reviews he has here. Thank you. read more

I have had all three of my cars serviced by Brian's team over the past two years, and in every case I've left feeling like I was treated fairly and honestly. I was referred to Brian Slaughter from a mutual friend. I have been taking my vehicle there for almost 2 years and I have referred two other people to Brian. I will never take my car anywhere else! Brian is honest, straight-forward and extremely reliable. He is down-to-earth and he explains parts and problems in an easy to understand way. He is very easy to do business with. Brian and his team are fast and deliver quality work. Like a previous reviewer said, he has fixed very minor items without charging or will only charge for the small part, no labor. He has looked over a car that a friend was going to buy and advised if it was a good purchase. i can't say enough about his service! Take your car to slaughter and Associates; your car will love it and you will not be disappointed! read more

I'm going to be honest, I was a little skeptical since this was the only 5-star rated mechanic I could find in the Chandler area, but let me assure you, the Yelp reviews are 100% accurate. Brian gave me an honest quote, never tried to upsell anything and actually saved me quite a bit of money compared to other shops in the area. He even threw in a free part due to the fact it wasn't on the original quote... outstanding customer service! I will absolutely recommend this shop to friends/family and continue to bring my vehicles here. read more

The most honest repairmen in the business! I called here on a recommendation from my SO and was treated with the utmost care and respect. Brian was very thorough and attentive. He didn't push services on me and was honest and kind when giving his opinion on my car! They have pretty good prices and want to make sure you don't waste YOUR time and money as a customer. Plus, did I mention I didn't even meet them? All transactions were over the phone, and if all staff here had this great of manners over the phone, I can only imagine how great their service in person is! Thanks for the new tires guys!! read more

I bought a 1999 ford ranger with a recently replaced transmission from the shop owner Brian. I know nothing about trucks and simply needed an around town "beater" truck and I didn't have a lot of money. Based on everything I've read online a 1999 ford ranger is the truck I wanted due to cheap maintenance and reliability. I would have never bought a truck with 230k miles on it unless I felt comfortable with the person selling me the car. Needles to say they made me feel very comfortable so I decided to buy it at a fair market price. A week went by and the transmission died... this is where normally people get upset and can only blame themselves for buying an old truck and not knowing what they're getting themselves into just like I did. I went out on a limb and texted the shop. They responded immediately and took 100% ownership of the problem! Not only did they take the truck back and rebuild the transmission ***FOR FREE*** but they also did a free oil change and brake flush for my troubles!! Holy crap!!! Who does that?! how did I get this lucky?!!! I'm used to getting screwed on deals so this was a completely new experience for me. I hope this review helps future customers as this is how I made my decision when choosing to do business with this shop. I have regained faith in humanity. These guys have showed me that not everyone is out to screw you. I'm still speechless thinking about it and can't thank them enough. It's a solid 40 minute drive for me but rest assured all maintenance will be done at their shop!!! read more

This place was awesome! I was in such a rush the week of leaving on a road trip and realized I needed to get my brakes done and an oil change. I called, got an estimate and they got me in first thing the next morning. Upon arriving, I expressed that I would need to call an Uber to take me home if they needed to do the breaks as I still needed to pack for our out of town trip. I was given a ride because I lived so close and this was something they didn't have to do. The charges were within 5 dollars of the quote, the time of completion was spot on and they were friendly and accommodating. read more

The most honest, straight forward, and reasonably priced mechanic I've ever used. I will never take my car anywhere else!

I am so impressed with Slaughter & Associates. I brought a high mileage truck in after making an appointment for a diagnostic check with an extremely rough idle after a bunch of work had been performed by my long time mechanic of 25 years. I had a good idea on what was wrong and was prepared to pay a certain amount based on the info I had and my own abilities. They knew what I assumed/thought was wrong and easily could have run with that and made the repair and charged me accordingly. After some thought and deductive reasoning on Mr.Slaughters part he figured out what the problem really was and the bill ended up being less than a quarter of what I had thought it would be. This is a sign of a genuinely honest person with solid business ethics and most importantly a talented mechanic. Thank you sir, it's hard to say how much I truly appreciate your work. read more
