Oysters (amazing) Beef Wellington (also amazing) This chocolate tort was also next level.
Chris S.

This is a mixed review. First the service. If you go this restaurant ask to be seated in Mehgan's section. She was wonderful, informative and excellent in any way you would ask a server to be.. simply the best we can remember. The food - mixed. The oysters were amazing, fresh and tasty, The wine (recommended by Meghan, was also very good) My entree the special beef wellington was excellent and I typically do not order this type of meal preparation. My wife had swordfish and it was simply not that good, for whatever reason it came out bland and just disappointing - especially when compared to everything else we enjoyed. The dessert was also delicious. To summarize, every place has an occasional miss. The swordfish here was that miss. We will give Michael's a try when we visit again.

Went to the new location for Michael's and we were very pleased. We were greeted very warmly at the hostess stand and shown to our table. To our surprise we we given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine as we cleaned our hands with the warm towels. They had a number of specials so for a starter we went with the monchango cheese and caviar. Both were delicious and left us wanting more. I ordered steak for my meal and my husband ordered the branzino. Both delicious and filling. We decided to order Tawny wine for dessert. We each tried a different one and both loved the pours we got. Definitely will be back. They have such beautiful paintings on the walls adding to the charm of the restaurant. It's a very warm and inviting space.

Bread plate with miso furikake butter - fabulous

We had a delicious meal last night celebrating our 51st anniversary. They greeted us with a "Happy Anniversary". As we were seated our waiter, Ryan, came by to acquaint us with the menu. A few minutes later he came by with a complimentary glass of champagne. We then placed our orders. My husband had a special starter for the evening of smoked salmon tartines - absolutely delicious. I had a beet salad which had a large amount of beets and was great. For our mains, I had the steak Diane and my husband had a 16 oz ribeye which was cooked to perfection. While my steak Diane was very good, they didn't cook it table side and flambé it prior to serving it to me (which I've had done other places). Next time I'll order the filet mignon. Both were accompanied by mashed potatoes. There was wonderful music playing when we first arrived and at 6 pm the pianist played some great music on the grand piano. It made the evening enjoyable. Ryan was very attentive to our needs throughout dinner. It was a wonderful experience, food was delicious, nice atmosphere in the restaurant and they have valet parking. We will definitely be back.

10/10!! The food is amazing and the service is out of this world. It's a great quiet date night spot. A little pricey, but so worth it.

Absolutely amazing!! One of the BEST Meals I have ever eaten! I had the Bread Plate (phenomenal warm local sourdough bread with miso furikake butter) and the Petite Filet Diane (perfectly prepared to the temperature I requested) along with Fresh Brewed Iced Tea. My server, David, was wonderful too! Plus, there was an excellent pianist playing while I was enjoying my dinner. I will be back when I am in the area.

Kaluga Caviar ($115)

This place is absolutely delish! Their decor has been upscaled and it looks beautiful, great place for a dinner date for sure! Food was cooked to perfection, I had the Scottish Salmon NomNomm! Would definitely get again! The roasted carrots (side dish) were also delish! Unfortunately to me the Kaluga Hybrid Caviar ($115) wasn't worth it.. it came with tater tots which drowned out the mild caviar flavor. I really enjoyed this place and can't wait to go back! *Be sure to make reservations online in advance!!

Michael's St. Augustine, 25 Cuna St. Saint Augustine. Night of lights or visit to historic Saint Augustine is not complete without a date night at Michael's of St. Augustine. It's a fairy tale for your tastebuds, a real culinary experience. Burst of flavors in every item evident of chef Michael's passion to create exceptional exquisite dishes. All spices are locally sourced. The steak and mushrooms were devine and mushrooms are locally sourced from a farm who has been cultivating it for over 30 years. All the spices are either blended in house or sourced from local speciality. The food was a sensory delight for me, at every bite my taste buds thanked me. The flavors were a symphony, perfectly balanced, Quality ingredients make all the difference! The service from the moment we entered the door was amazing. Our server Kelly was incredible and the kindest. The service quality, the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant were everything you could ever ask for! We tried the chef's Experience: 1. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Tasting Room for lunch, dinner, or for a special event that you might be having in the St Augustine area.

A Must-Visit Cheesecake & Wine Tasting in St. Augustine!…read more What an absolute gem! This small, quaint spot in St. Augustine made our cheesecake and wine tasting such a memorable experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. The cheesecakes were phenomenal -- truly some of the best I've ever had. My two favorites were the blueberry crumble and the lemon chantillí, but honestly, every single one we tried was delicious. Perfect texture, amazing flavors, and beautifully presented. If you're in St. Augustine and love cheesecake, wine, or just discovering charming local places, this is a must-try. Can't wait to come back!

I was told 9pm at the earliest on the phone, the website said 7:30 at the earliest and when I showed up in person to ask they had immediate seating. In fact, not one other table was taken indoors. We had our entire meal alone, inside this restaurant which is a converted home. Many of the homes in St Augustine are like this, so a home converted business isn't weird. But it is when 10+ employees constantly walk by and you are eating at a somewhat private table. I have no idea what all those employees were doing. We joked that the cheesecake restaurant was a front for another business because the employees seemed so busy, yet no one was there. We also had to laugh, almost the entire menu was sold out. Every person at our table had to order their 2nd or 3rd backup item, most of us completely changing our order. One in our group had the waiter come back twice to tell us they sold out of his item AS his meal was being made. While the cheesecakes were very good and there was potentially a nice selection, I think this location was a bit too odd to recommend to other diners unless you specifically just want cheesecake. If you do, just get it to go.

They have fudge, popcorns, brittles & even a variety of chocolate based wine & liqueur. While the delectable scent of fresh chocolate draws you in, the loaded displays around you are sure to keep you there. They've recently undergone some renovations which are finally done & the new store looks great. The floor has really been opened up & they did a great job at utilizing the space. Everything is organized nicely, prices are listed clearly & the store itself is spotless. While it may not be the biggest, it's easy to get carried away here as you look at the deliciousness surrounding you. I haven't personally tried them yet but their hot chocolates definitely caught my eye, they offer a nice handful of varieties. Even the coffee lovers, like myself, are recognized. They have a chocolate-flavored coffee that sounds interesting so I'm thinking about grabbing a bag on my next visit. The chocolate covered espresso beans are also delicious, although I like the milk chocolate ones way more than the dark. Every time I've visited this location the employees are so friendly. They acknowledge you as soon as you enter, they almost always offer help & they're efficient at handling crowds. Customer service goes a long way & they do a great job here. If you're just passing through or staying in St. Augustine then you need to give them a visit. In a world full of mass produced chocolate, it's a breath of fresh air to find a company that cares about serving amazing products. You can even do a factory tour at this location to find out all about their process!

Tucked within the historic Casa Monica Resort, you immediately notice its stunning decor. The Spanish and Moroccan influences are present in every corner, from the intricate tile work and arched doorways to the warm, atmospheric lighting and authentic Moroccan accents. The highlight of our visit, beyond the surroundings, was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Widi. His attentiveness and professionalism elevated the entire meal, ensuring we felt welcomed and well-cared for from the moment we were seated. Widi's hospitality perfectly complemented the refined environment of the chophouse. As for the food, the weekend brunch was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique three-course format, which began with a shared chef's board featuring bites like monkey bread and candied bacon deviled eggs. For our main courses, we selected the classic Shrimp & Grits and Nutella, Bacon & Banana Crepes. We finished the celebration with bite-sized cookies and a bread pudding to go for my birthday. The menu was much improved, but there is always room for improvement. The foraged mushrooms were different, but many were tough, the steak while done to medium rare lacked in the presentation, Wagyu meatball appetizers were tasty. Our guest enjoyed the Mussels.
