Custom framing
sara h.

Very happy with the custom framing! The consultation was thorough and I went with the majority of what was suggested. The person seemed well versed in framing. My art was 20" x 16" and came to $300 after the 70% off they are offering (automatically in their system). Pick up the was a day earlier than approximated. The work looks great and super pro! I have had other things framed in other shops in Pasadena so I can confirm this was a very good deal! (I expected $500+ so I jumped when I saw the deal!)

This review is specifically for Kristine T. in framing! Kristine is absolutely phenomenal. She took so much time to help me today with a really big order and I'm so grateful for her patience, expertise and kindness. On top of it, she made sure I got the deal going on currently on all my frames. The pricing was extremely fair and reasonable and her knowledge of framing and matting was excellent. Thank you so much!

The staff were helpful. But the Latina lady with the yellow highlights, was super rude and unhelpful, made my shopping experience a nightmare. Telling me that I was in the wrong for wanting to price match to the website's prices, and that it's company policy to not do price checks, which, as a person that has previously worked in retail, as well as shopped at Michaels, know this is untrue. She was also unaware of whether anybody else was working that would be able to help me. I found what I needed through the older Latina lady, which I found in the back, who led me to exactly what I was looking for immediately. The other staff were also much kinder, allowing me to price match, as well as asking whether I needed help. Whereas the rude one, I had to also wait for 5 minutes in a one person line, to even be noticed or spoken to by her.

My Mac Mini clock looks great in my office.

Basically no employees anymore. Self checkouts so they don't have to pay people. There is no one to help with those either. Awful.

Enough selections for hobbyists. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would've been a member if I painted or made jewelry.

Staff here is great. They're friendly and very informative which is always a nice sight to see for newcomers. In the back, you'll find many tables where people visit to play all types of games. Ranging from board games, cards, DnD, and list goes on. Best part is that you can try all types of games for free. My wife and I visited with some friends and we had such a wonderful time playing board games. Time flew by so fast as we were all having fun. I'd say the tables could use some cleaning but very spacious overall. Parking is out in the back but it's pretty limited. Street parking is also available but watch out for time slots. Overall, very happy about Odyssey Games, very much a must visit spot if you love board games. Place can get packed as you'll often find plenty of people here. Love to visit again soon to try new board games.

There's a weird odor in the store even when it's on a less crowded day. The furniture is also super worn down and makes playing games uncomfortable. Still a decent place if you want to play a game with friends.

They're a lot more Michaels stores and this might be the first integration of Hobby lobby here in this area. I know there is one out in West Covina, and that might be the next closest location, but that's still quite a distance away. Everything is very well organized here. It does feel a little bit dated inside, even though this is a newer store. I can't remember if they took over a mervyns or Sears or something but everything is very well organized, and very easy to find where things are. The checkout process is a little bit of a bottleneck. Maybe it's not easier to do self check out kiosks otherwise they would've done it already. On the way out, there was a lady that was upset because the registers are staggered in a specific way, and she either overshot it and I didn't understand the flow of things so she was upset about how she wasn't able to check out yet The immediate area right outside Hobby lobby is a little bit chaotic. A lot of cars and lots of people are trying to park here so sometimes the directional flow things proves to be a little bit challenging for people. It is a bit hectic so don't drive too fast.

The assistant managers/ managers are in no hurry to help and have other workers assist. I came to return an item and accidentally stood in the wrong line for about 10 mins and the cashier, instead of doing the return he tells me to get in another long line. I would not recommend.

As a middle-aged father looking for a hobby we could share that didn't involve screens or video games, I'd read a bit about Gunpla and decided to give it a shot. What a find! The owner was incredibly helpful and patient with us, taking the time to understand what we were looking for and guiding us to first sets that were perfect for our skill levels. His enthusiasm was genuine, and it made the whole experience fun and welcoming, never overwhelming for complete beginners like us. The prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus when you're testing out a new hobby with your kid. We both walked out with our own kits, and I have to say, I'm just as hooked as my son! Building these models has been a surprisingly relaxing and rewarding experience, and I'm already looking forward to tackling more complex builds and refining them. I'm planning to return soon to pick up a few more sets for Christmas gifts and to expand my own collection. If you're looking for a screen-free activity to share with your children or just want to explore the world of Gunpla, I highly recommend stopping by this shop. The passion and knowledge of the owner really make all the difference.
