One Piece Hits from Core TCG!
    Pablo Z.

Amazing staff & Fire hits @ Core TCG! Love the family friendly environment and they have loads of gems Pokemon, One Piece, Dragonball & more!!! Definitely recommend coming here for prerelease drops & tournaments!

    | LOCATION + PARKING | Even with it being a busy and bustling Saturday morning, there was still (free) parking to be found both in the small lot located behind the building and on the surrounding streets. The location is easy to find -just look for howling rays and it's off to the left of that lol. | SELECTION | After having been to a few card shops, I can say CoreTCG is easily one of the best shops if not the best. The selection for Pokemon, MTG, One Piece, Yugioh (and a couple others I'm not sure of the names) is great! I was so shocked to see so many options lol. After getting into playing Pokemon TCG last month, I've had a lot of trouble finding cards, packs, ETBs & etc out in the wild. But walked in and immediately found everything I was looking for (which was both good and bad). | STAFF & SERVICE | There were a lot of people when my mini and I went in but we were asked by multiple different staff members if we needed anything. I really appreciated that because you could definitely tell the two of us were in need of help haha. Daniel was especially great! He was so helpful and patient while we asked a bajillion questions. He alone is honestly worth going back to CoreTCG lol. My mini was a little shy in the atmosphere (they were hosting tournaments/games so it was crowded. But Daniel made her feel just as important as everyone else there. We originally went in to pick up an online order I placed a few hours before they opened. Even though it's clearly stated on the website it's usually a 24 hour processing time, they were soooo nice and super expedited my wait time. They did it (46 cards) within 10-15mins! I was so grateful since I'm overly eager to build my decks lol. Talk about A+ service! | HIGHLIGHTS | Daniel & Jake -so friendly and welcoming that we went back twice in the same day LOLOL! The great selection & the prices! No crazy price gouging here!

The owner was so sweet, making sure he was able to give the local card community a chance to get to open Journey Together. He was selling them at MSRP! The man is a gem, this is my go to shop now. Prices are very fair, especially in the pokemon market right now that is so rare. There are plenty of tables to open packs and play or just hang out. It's very community friendly the staff are so helpful and never make me feel intimidated to ask questions. The vibes give

I pre-ordered OP13 boxes from them -- they billed my credit card then 3 weeks later, cancelled it because there was a difference in my billing and shipping address (without any email or phone notification) then it took me a total of 4 weeks to get my money back. Extremely shady business Update: After I submitted this review, they cancelled my refund and stole my money! I have to file a chargeback on my credit card! BBB report filed. AVOID this SCAM business.

The Secret Labubu I pulled from a box my husband bought me at Core TCG ‍

I wanted a labubu from the "Big into Energy" collection and my husband (who goes to Core TCG often) noticed they had them. He bought me one and we joked about me pulling the Secret Labubu before I opened my box and I fact did pull the secret Labubu!! Thanks Core! :)

This is my baby. They are very kid and baby friendly.

CoreTCG is hands down the best card shop I have ever been in. What makes Core different is their dedication to the player base. They not only carry product for all modern card games but put in the additional effort to cultivate an active player base through their tournaments and events. It doesn't matter if it's the hottest most profitable game, CoreTCG will support the community. Their dedication to the player extends into their excellent customer service as well. Shoutout to their front-of-house staff Darwin, Daniel, and Jake keeping things running smoothly and customers happy. These guys are knowledgeable, helpful and polite. It doesn't matter if you are a seasoned pro, a grandma buying for the first time or a literal baby, CoreTCG will treat you right and all at fair prices. All this and more is why I keep coming back. Plus they have Labubus now.

Passing through on a rainy afternoon I was pleased to find its location is near a few important stops in Pasadena, and there's some parking available in the private lot. I was mostly there to check out the selection and see if they specialized in anything unique. Not to say they don't, but it's still a well-stocked store. I was the only customer and enjoyed the classic jazz playing in the background. Pro Tip: Most established comic shops have subscription plans paid annually, or one-time up front. A customer goes through Comic Book Geek to pick their titles and sometimes preferred cover art, and the shop pulls their requests and holds them until the customer picks up the stash.

And what I mean by that, have a couple more action figures, Funko, pops, etc. that will probably bring in some more people for sure. The other thing would bethe music playing in the speakers. Heck, learning of its existence, I love it even now as an adult. Everything is very dinosaur themed and very geared towards both children and the community. They have events that support the community too such as book readings and much more. Make sure to join their email list before checking out. I love that they also have cute dinosaur themed gift wrapping paper too. I think a neat touch that they have is all the dinosaur art that they have on the walls as well as the cute dinosaur trinkets and toys that they have all around. I love the variety of little plastic dinosaur figurines that they have. Probably the most diversity of species that I have seen and in the most sizes too. Some which I have never even heard of, so much more than the stereotypical T-rex and Triceratops that you can find anywhere else. Also, fear not, there are toys and other goods for the other children in your family/party who may not be as dinosaur inclined if that is your worry. I got a really neat Dinosaur Farm t-shirt there (they come in blue and green) and a little figure for my desk. It def more of a toy store geared towards children than a super educational museum store towards geeky adults, but that's fine with me too! As a dino enjoyer, I support all ventures into the prehistoric practice!

Located on the corner of Main Street and Garfield Ave, it is a great place to visit while going for a stroll in the heart of downtown Alhambra. Plenty of great eateries and cinemas in the vicinity as well. A free parking garage is conveniently accessible right behind the shop, in addition to street parking. Although the shop is small, they were able to feature hundreds of items without it being overwhelming. As a newbie to the current line of collectibles, Top Canvas serves as a great introduction to the new trend. As I walked in, a young woman politely greeted me and offered me assistance. Upon request, she promptly directed me to the Mofusand plushies and a wall of keychains. She took down the plushies from the shelves, so I could take a good look at all of them. And then, I spotted one very adorable Hello Kitty plushie holding a strawberry which totally makes a great Valentine's Day gift. For less than twenty bucks, I quickly secured my choice and went on to explore the rest of the shop. The average prices range from $9.99 to $29.99, so you can build up your collections without breaking the bank. Top Canvas is a great place for buying gifts on a budget, as they offer so many cute things for under $20. I also purchased 2 Lokiki blind box plushies as gifts. The gift recipient seems to love it, because it's always fun to open up a blind box. She totally adores her Lokiki plushie. Without a doubt, the highlight of my visit is the wall of Mofusand keychains! At $9.99 each, big or small, these are just too darn cute to pass up. I want them all!! Some of the more expensive and fragile collectibles are showcased behind glass. Great for avid collectors!! Tired of shopping on Amazon like me?? Naturally as he is a toddler he had removed some toys from the aisles and left some out as I was chasing after him it was hard for me to also be cleaning up. I acknowledge I could have done better and cleaned up after him but I've been having some pain in my back and it was just hard for me running around after him in addition to cleaning up. The part that was so bad was the attitude of the people working the shop. He got so angry at me telling me he was picking up after my kids mess. I felt really bad and embarrassed and said sorry so many times but his attitude stayed the same. Mind you we were paying customers and as my mom was purchasing a toy I simply asked whoever was working at the cashier to be a little kinder to the customers and he doubled down telling me I made a mess and was incredibly rude. Again, I could have done better by cleaning up but there needs to be a little more kindness in the customer service of a children's toy store and maybe some understanding that the parents are doing their best. It's a children's toy store after all. Reading the reviews here and seeing so many others who had bad customer experience as well. No greeting no smiling nothing, you wonder why this store is empty most of the time. I will not be coming back and if what you're looking for is a positive happy experience buying your kid a toy do not come here. I'm sure the owner will respond and blame my child and me for making a mess, but that is clearly not the point. The energy and attitude he was just awful and ruined my entire day
