The anime selection is above average and there's a giant Capsule Corp background (from Dragon Ball) and a giant Luffy figure (from One Piece) to take pictures with. The One Piece trading card vending machine was out of service at the time of my visit. This is one of those stores that is great to at least stop by for those who are into anime or Sanrio plushies. They open at 12:00 PM, but people start lining up well before that. Thankfully, I went on a Wednesday, so I didn't have to wait very long. Once you get inside, they hand you a ticket, and you are watched like a hawk as you wander through the store. The store is super cute inside with tons to look at, though it is heavily dominated by Sonic and Persona merch. They have a lot of items that are usually only sold in Japan, which means they are imported--and priced accordingly. The prices here are sky-high, so I wouldn't recommend planning a massive shopping spree unless you want to empty your wallet. I ended up only purchasing one item: a little Shadow the Hedgehog plushy for $20. Why I'm Knocking Off Stars : The service here was almost nonexistent. While the girl at the door handing out tickets was friendly enough, the cashiers were a different story. When my friend and I went up to the register to pay, the two employees working there were chatting away as if they were having the time of their lives. We stood there staring at them for almost three minutes before I finally had to speak up and say, "Excuse me, may I please purchase this?" They both looked up with frowns on their faces, staring at me like I had just interrupted the most important, intimate conversation of their lives. It was so bizarre--you'd think they'd be happy to ring up a customer! Instead, the guy just silently muttered "register," grabbed my item, and rang me up without saying another word. It was incredibly clear he just wanted to get me out of there as fast as possible to get back to his conversation with his coworker. It left a really bad impression. It's a very cute shop and definitely worth a quick visit just to see everything. If you decide to go, my biggest recommendation is to go on a weekday around 11:30 AM so you can be one of the first in line and avoid a massive wait! I believe that these may be the same people who did Hot Pot Penjing based on their Instagram. (LOVED that place and wish that I had a chance to go there more and I missed the chance to get that Touko Aozaki figure...). They specialize in anime statues. That's right, STATUES. Not just regular figures. They have those huge, super detailed, scale figures with prices ranging from $300-1k+ If you are a big One Piece, DBZ, or Demon Slayer fan, this this the place for you. Lots of huge statues for these series. In addition to these statues, there are some fancier figures, Nesoberis ($35 which is the standard price), and some playmats of various series. I'm not super big into most shonen series (as a non-casual lmao), but they did have some bigger Fate series items like Formal Craft Rin and a Scathach figure. Would like to see some smaller scale figures here from other series too. Regardless, it's a fun place to check out if you are an anime fan!

They also gave me an in depth explanation with recent comparisons on pricing on certain sets of Pokemon, and their prices are more than fair. It's nice to see the community building here, with them hosting weekly events as well promoting themselves and others. Definitely a friendly local card shop that welcomes newcomers, people returning to old hobbies, and veterans all the same!
