This place is so healing to my inner-child. Once you enter the room, your life changes. Nothing is the same. If you're looking for sonny angels, smiskis, etc. COME HERE! They have such a variety! You absolutely can't get bored coming in here. The service was amazing as well, the workers at this establishment was checking up on me to see if everything was good.

They have a pretty great selection here. And they utilize the space pretty well cause it feels big. They have claw machines, blind bags, stickers, figures and other anime/manga related items. Prices pretty reasonable too compared to other places and the staff was really hospitable. Thank you!

I've passed by Top Canvas a few times and I thought they only had claw machines from the outside point of view. I was in the area and decided to stop by one evening. To my surprise, Top Canvas sells many items that I would find at Pop Mart! I felt relieved knowing I don't have to drive all the way to the mall just to buy some! For claw machines, they used tokens so you need to exchange cash for tokens at the counter. The lady who works there is very nice. I also asked if I can buy the whole set and you can! I definitely spent more money than I should have. Stop by if you have self control.

My son was looking for smiski while we were in LA. They are these mini glow figures in different poses created by Japanese toy company. The store had them, but it was way more expensive than the other places. They also had a bunch of Japanese toys, plush toys, lots of figurines, and wall art. Both walls are lined with claw machines. Be ready to spend $40 in less than 10 minutes and win nothing. It was a cool place overall, but expensive.

Reasonable prices and a huge variety of blind boxes! Staff is also very sweet. She checked in the back for more inventory of a blind box that was low in-stock on the floor. I was really grateful and happy with the figures I got. They have Pop-Mart, Sanrio, Lulu the Piggy, Sonny Angels, and more! I can't wait to come back here :)

Such a cool place!! My friend told me about them having a lot of blind boxes and collectibles so naturally I wanted to check it out. It's such a cool little shop! They had a bunch of claw machines which I thought was fun. They had a lot of Sonny angels too! I love that they have so many different types of Sanrio plushies!! I'm definitely going back when I'm ready to do my Christmas shopping for my nieces and nephews!

Worker was rude in responding to us and accused us to shaking the blind boxes. She stated not to shake boxes when in actuality we picked up a box and placed it back down and the contents of the box moved around (The item has a key ring inside the box that is not attached to the blind box item).

New claw machine and cute merch shop that opened across the street from the theater! Another neat place to do things when you're in the area for a movie, meal, or stop at Gallery Nucleus. It's well lit, workers are pretty nice, and aside from crane games, they also have anime and cute character merchandise, plushies, and trinkets to purchase, LOTS of blind boxes, and some anime goods as well. At the front they have large statues of Arale, DBZ, and One Piece with some small backdrops for the perfect photo op. Currently, their machines have Squishmallows, various different size and style Mofusands, some strange Korean slug series, and Mario plushies. Nice place to drop by for sure and PS if you follow them on IG you get a small gift (nice pen!).

Great place to visit with areas to take pictures, plushies/collectibles to purchase and many claw machines to play. The prices are very reasonable compared to other stores/online from Japan. The staff were friendly and offer to help (no sales pressure). We'll definitely be back!

We came here randomly just because we saw claw machines from the outside. We came on a Sunday night. I felt it was unfair for them to charge tax for the claw machine tokens when the machines are rigged. You need to pay at least $20 to get additional tokens. The claws barely have any grip strength and they're 2-4 tokens per machine. They're not the machines where the second push will grab, it's just the straight downward and it grabs only if the machines are set to grab at a certain time. I've seen a lot of families who came by hoping to win prizes for their kids and they don't get anything. You have to be really lucky to get any prizes. There was originally two staff members then one during last part of the night, but they don't pay attention to what's going on at the claw machine areas. If I hadn't asked the employee who had left for the night about the rules to the claw machines, the customers probably don't even know you could exchange the prizes within the same claw machine if you wanted to. They have those popular mystery boxes/bags, keychains, posters, Long mouse pads, and plushies for sale as well. My girlfriend bought the last display of an animal labubu which doesn't come with a box and was still charged full price of $15.99 (price not taxed yet), and the mystery bag Junji Ito she got was $7.99 (price not taxed yet). The employee said the frames and prints they have on display are typically $80+. No public restrooms. Parking all street or parking structure.

Most of the toys are for kids just a bit older, so her choices were somewhat limited. They do have a decent number of dinosaur toys, figurines, and accessories, as you might expect from the name "The Dinosaur Farm." However, they offer a wide range of toys, everything from lava lamps to play dough. There's a decent amount of plush animals and educational toys as well. The staff is helpful and friendly, and there's usually parking available on the street."

30 YEARS OF BUSINESS IN PASADENA AND NOT EXTINCT!…read more I was one of those dinosaur kids growing up and I know I would have loved this place if I visited as a kid. Heck, learning of its existence, I love it even now as an adult. Everything is very dinosaur themed and very geared towards both children and the community. They have events that support the community too such as book readings and much more. Make sure to join their email list before checking out. I love that they also have cute dinosaur themed gift wrapping paper too. I think a neat touch that they have is all the dinosaur art that they have on the walls as well as the cute dinosaur trinkets and toys that they have all around. I love the variety of little plastic dinosaur figurines that they have. Probably the most diversity of species that I have seen and in the most sizes too. Some which I have never even heard of, so much more than the stereotypical T-rex and Triceratops that you can find anywhere else. Also, fear not, there are toys and other goods for the other children in your family/party who may not be as dinosaur inclined if that is your worry. I got a really neat Dinosaur Farm t-shirt there (they come in blue and green) and a little figure for my desk. It def more of a toy store geared towards children than a super educational museum store towards geeky adults, but that's fine with me too! As a dino enjoyer, I support all ventures into the prehistoric practice!

The emphasis, though, is primarily new and recent comics. Passing through on a rainy afternoon I was pleased to find its location is near a few important stops in Pasadena, and there's some parking available in the private lot. I was mostly there to check out the selection and see if they specialized in anything unique. Not to say they don't, but it's still a well-stocked store. I was the only customer and enjoyed the classic jazz playing in the background. Pro Tip: Most established comic shops have subscription plans paid annually, or one-time up front. A customer goes through Comic Book Geek to pick their titles and sometimes preferred cover art, and the shop pulls their requests and holds them until the customer picks up the stash.

Now, they were all no Stewart comic book store but out of all of the ones in the area, this was the best by far. Chill vibes, plenty of comics, easy access, and easy to purchase at the end. Only critiques I would give it would be to have a little more for the other collectors. And what I mean by that, have a couple more action figures, Funko, pops, etc. that will probably bring in some more people for sure. The other thing would bethe music playing in the speakers. Didn't care too much for the rock, but still all in all, nice place to go. There's plenty of parking and easy to find.

But this store has a variety of selection such as Chogokins, Gunpla, Prize Figs, Construction Kits, Etc... Hidden Gem Alert!…read more Attention hobbyists and gift givers: Neo Happyland might just be your new happy place. Circumstances brought me to this unique and fun store that is practically hidden on the first floor of what appeared to be an abandoned mall in Chinatown, the Bamboo Plaza. Had I not known about this store and its location before visiting, I probably would not have entered the plaza. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Natalie one of the store owners. I then met with Alan, her husband and co-owner. Both were super personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I overheard them conversing about some of the products with other customers in the store. They really knew their product. The store was jampacked with products from floor to ceiling. I was overwhelmed with how much there was to see. There were so many different model kits to choose from (Pokemon, Bandai, Gundam, etc.). They also had figurines, model paint, books, stickers, Gundam decals, Book Nook and Wonderland items, Pokemon Mini Building Blocks, other building blocks, DVDs and other fun items. Everything was well stocked and neatly organized. I appreciated that most of the items were displayed behind glass so that you could see the actual product vs just looking at the picture on the box. Even though I am an adult, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I did not leave empty-handed. :) If you're looking for a wonderful brick and mortar hobby shop with Asian flair, I highly recommend this shop.
