This store always conveniently communicates their schedule on socials (Instagram/discord) and it's very welcoming environment for players of different backgrounds so don't hesitate to drop by! Their price is pretty much MSRP for packs. I can find singles I need specifically from time to time and if it's not available I can let the store know to save me one if they ever come across it. And locals for different card games are hosted regularly. Bonus: they have begun to host socials/events like "girls' game night" which was really fun packed with different TCG, board game and trivia!!!

Girl working the desk is very unfriendly and rude. Why work a customer service job if you don't know how to interact with people.

But no fear, they have so many other items to choose from. They offer books, collectable figurines, old game consoles and games, vinyls, and many other items. Some are Japanese related but not all of them are. I would say it's a pretty good sized store and everything is organized and labeled. It's fun rummaging through the boxes to see what goodies one might find, remember that this is a used book store so most items are pre-loved. I didn't get any Tokyo Sea items but I did get a pre-loved well kept Japanese Pressed vinyl of Air Supply's greatest hits! Priced at only $19, I thought it was a great find. Clean, well organized, lots of things to go through. Definitely a place worth checking out if you like hunting for treasure.

You'll feel a little overwhelmed with all the offerings that they have at the shop. Offerings: They sell cd's, dvd's, toys, cassettes, anime/manga stuff, Pop Figurines, video consoles and games, trading cards, and used books. You can also sell your stuff their also. Service: Service is decent, but can take a while if there's people that want to get their collectibles appraised or to purchase something. Experience: Had a okay experience. I would like to come back to check out their massive collection of DVD's. Been on the hunt for the dvd, Renaissance Man.

The emphasis, though, is primarily new and recent comics. Passing through on a rainy afternoon I was pleased to find its location is near a few important stops in Pasadena, and there's some parking available in the private lot. I was mostly there to check out the selection and see if they specialized in anything unique. Not to say they don't, but it's still a well-stocked store. I was the only customer and enjoyed the classic jazz playing in the background. Pro Tip: Most established comic shops have subscription plans paid annually, or one-time up front. A customer goes through Comic Book Geek to pick their titles and sometimes preferred cover art, and the shop pulls their requests and holds them until the customer picks up the stash.

Only critiques I would give it would be to have a little more for the other collectors. And what I mean by that, have a couple more action figures, Funko, pops, etc. that will probably bring in some more people for sure. The other thing would bethe music playing in the speakers. Didn't care too much for the rock, but still all in all, nice place to go. There's plenty of parking and easy to find.

I found a hidden gem during my visit, however, the cashiers couldn't sell me the game that was clearly marked down a lot lower than what they had wanted me to pay. When they scanned it, the price showed up HIGHER than the sticker price. Then, the cashier (who was helpful by the way to a certain extent) explained that they couldn't do a manual override. Then I asked if I could speak to a manager who was coincidentally on lunch... then I was told that she (the manager) stated she needed to email their DM for a price override. I was skeptical about it as it seemed that they wanted to sell the game at a higher price rather than the marked down price. I declined to purchase that specific game for the higher price as they should've sold it me for the lower price! I was told I could leave my info behind, but have not heard back from anyone They were not too busy but I wasn't going to "wait" around for a response as no one seemed to do anything else but wait for the "manager" to "email" their DM or OM. I went into the store and they were able to "sell" it to me but their reason behind it was that they hadn't updated the sticker for that very day i went in so they can replace it with the higher price. I've gone to other GS locations before and well, let's say I won't be going back to this one.

I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. When I came to pickup my DS, I noticed there was a popped pixel on the new screen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. He said he couldn't do that and all replacement screens have popped pixels. I ended up paying and still have a defective screen. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

AVOID this business…read more First red flag: the storefront looked abandoned, like it had been through an earthquake. I should have walked out immediately, but I didn't--and that mistake cost me. My PS5 fan connector broke and needed to be re-soldered to the motherboard. The owner said he'd diagnose it for $30 and let me know if he could fix it. A few hours later, he called back and told me he had already "fixed" the console--but now the fan would be "a little louder." Huge red flag. Any professional would update the customer and get approval before moving forward with an unorthodox repair. While my PlayStation technically works, the fan now runs at full speed and sounds like a vacuum cleaner--unbearably loud. With how hard the fan is spinning, I seriously doubt the console's longevity. When I called to ask for an explanation, I got a vague half-answer and was told to "just turn up the TV volume" to drown out the noise. Absolutely ridiculous advice. I've attached a photo and video for proof. Curious about what was done, I opened the console and found a sloppy, makeshift repair and a note taped inside in Sharpie that read "do not open." Unbelievable. On top of that, I'm pretty sure they deleted a save file from a game I had poured hundreds of hours into. For the record, I'm not a "Karen." I support small businesses that do quality work and communicate honestly. But if a repair can't be done without major tradeoffs, tell me upfront so I can make my own decision. Avoid this place. Find a reputable electronics repair shop instead. Edit: If you want a preview of the kind of person you'll be dealing with, read the owner's response to negative reviews--full of name-calling, excuses, and petty deflection.

Everything from toys and clothing to movies and tons of fun merch. I was living for all the nostalgic finds! It honestly felt like stepping into a curated throwback dream. They also had tons of cool Sanrio and Anime stuff. Fair warning though... this place is dangerous for your wallet in the best way possible because I kept finding things I wanted. Luckily, they had a lot of in-store promotions and prices that felt super reasonable. The store itself is spacious and nicely organized, so it didn't feel overwhelming despite how much they carry. The staff was also super friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. As a horror movie lover, I was especially excited when my boyfriend surprised me with the "King of Horror Expanded Edition 8-Film" DVD set--such an amazing find! I've been wanting to build up my physical media collection, and this felt like the perfect start. Safe to say, I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the mood to treat myself.
