Service is ok. My kids love coming here because they let you try out the games. Some of there merch is in bad shape. They could definitely use a little tlc, especially the games that are usually quiet dusty (musty & crusty). The employee Adam is really nice and available for any questions. I don't recommend this store because yesterday when I called the store and asked if they are selling any ps3 super slims, the guy said they had 2-3 available. He said it's $130 if I get it with a wired controller or $150-160 if I get it with a wireless controller. I told him that I would come over later on today to buy one. So when I got to the store, I told the same guy that was on call with me that I was the guy that called about the ps3 super slims. And that I wanted to buy the one that was $130 with the wired controller. He told me that I didn't call him and that they only had one that had a bundle with 2 games that was $185. This is literally lying to your customers! Because I recognized the guys voice that was on the phone with me and it was literally him. I even have proof that I called the store. read more

Buyers BEWARE. Bought a copy of a very expensive ps2 game. Tested this copy and it worked fine on their backwards compatible ps3. The dude then goes on to resurface it after testing and a few days later I try to play it and it doesn't work. Offered me no resolution and told me I'm asked out of my money. Staff are very nice So that's where the stars mostly go to. Overall it's a decent sized store with a big selection of common and rarer games. The problem is trying to find something is difficult because they dont organize alphabetically like most retro stores. Called in asking if they had a specific rare game which they did have but it took them a while to find. But they quoted me at $40 more than the average online price. Why would anyone pay more when online sellers(generally charge more) are cheaper. The owner comes across as a used car salesman Went in anyways to see the condition. The owner was gone at the time and only staff were there. They are super nice and ended up buying the item but haggled down to the average price. The shop is in a ghetto area and they charge 1.5 to 3X online sellers so honestly it's a waste of time risking going to a ghetto area to most likely be ripped off for what you're looking for. read more

While the lineup of games was impressive as well as their toys and collectible collection. I was not impressed by the fact that the price is worth 1.25-4x not only what the average online market price is, but also what places within a decent driving distance have it priced as. Also, while they did ask if I had any questions did not follow up with me despite not a lot of people being there. And continue to watch me and other customers like a hawk as if we were gonna steal something. Well, I do understand having to protect your valued investments. You're not exactly making people comfortable in your store. Regardless of that, the prices are just too much to justify even coming here. Perhaps if they reduce the prices by back to market or close to it it would be a decent reason to come out, but if not, that's not it. read more

The people who work here are awesome. If you're looking for a hard to find gem, a common game that you are craving to play from your nostalgic childhood, or if you are a hardcore collector, this is the place for you. I was looking for a copy of The Wind Waker for GameCube and they delivered. It wasn't in the best condition but the game works beautifully and the price was right. I also came back a few months later to see if they could fix my copy of Guitar Hero Legends for Wii with their little machine and it was PERFECTION. They let me try it after they conditioned the game and it worked great. I took a look at it in the light and it was like brand. New. I asked them by chance if they fixed Joy-Con drift and in fact they do. The gentleman said Leo will be here Monday and fix them for me by Tuesday. Left my number and Tuesday they called to tell me they were fixed. The price was right as well. The first time I visited this store I was welcomed by George and his staff Leo and Adam. I walked in specifically to buy a copy of Scarface for the PS2 and George immediately gave me what I wanted. I walked in with the intention of buying one game and came out with 4 classics. George gave me a deal I couldn't refuse. I purchased a copy of The Warriors, Splinter Cell, Scarface, and Destroy All Humans. My 6-year-old son also grabbed two packs of Pokémon cards. The second time I visited, Adam greeted me right away and started conversations about my interests in Retro games and as well talked about family values. I mentioned to him I had found an old PSP of mine and didn't know if it worked at all. He inserted a battery he had laying around and charged the PSP for me. Once I knew for sure my PSP was in working condition I bought a charger, new battery, God of War: Chains of Olympus and Max Payne 2 for the PS2. To top it all off, Adam offered me homemade cookies. I use to go to a comic shop years ago that was in this same location . The game guy had a small area in the back, I never bought anything but he was super cool. Made an accidental purchase for a GBA SP charger that I didn't end up needing (I already had a Japanese charger and thought I needed a USA charger, but turns out they are the same). Yes, my mistake, but what sucks is they wouldn't offer a refund although the purchase was made only a few minutes before trying to return. They only offered store credit. Problem is all their retro games are overpriced and are, for the most part, in poor condition. Everything can be found for WAY cheaper on eBay, which is sad. Too bad, because not many retro game stores left, but places like this are the reason why. Save time and a lot of money, and purchase online. read more

Great Service! I went here on 1/6/23. I went to buy a PlayStation 1 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, the workers are so nice they would help me find the games I am looking for, they had a HUGE selection of PlayStation 1 games, I have never seen that much games ever in my life I love this store so much, they would let me test the console and the games if they work, games are in perfectly good condition, the console was a little dirty but the workers cleaned it for me, they made my console way better in condition, after all the things they did for me the prices were worth it. This spot was pretty cool, I enjoyed looking through the games while they set up the wii that I was planning to buy. They let me play the console and games before a purchase to make sure that it was what I expected and had no issues. Customer service was great and they were happy to help me out when I asked them about their prices. They had a decent selection of games and they also had another section for toys and similar. I posted my review over a year ago, he still sends me messages in a mocking manner. As I was just posting my review with honesty. What kind of owner treats people like this. I think all his 5 star reviews are paid or given for a discount. My review was on par with the rest of the other 1 star reviews because there true. There complaints on either the price, the store, or the owners customer service, like the one with the little boy. I don't know about you. But if this is how the owner responds over a truthful review, I would hate to see how he reacts to returns or any other things that inconveniences him in the slightest. Buys beware! Spend your money on offer up, Craigslist, or Facebook market place, as they will appreciate your business better than the owner of game hogs.
