Great service, incredibly friendly staff Amazing selection of even hard to find games and accessories, and if they don't have it, ask them, they could probably get it. The prices were really good and fair. I have to say how much I love this store, I went I looking for just a few select titles, but I came out with much more because I found hidden treasures that I needed to my collection. The staff here is knowledgeable and they actually have a passion for games. I want to carry tons of RETRO collections but they also have a lot of new recently released titles. On my last visit, I picked up the brand new StarFox, Star Wars Monopoly, Rythm Heaven and five older Nintendo Switch titles as well as Tekken 8 for PlayStation. The customer service was nice except when i walked in the clerk had a personal phone call and instead of addressing me and just saying "i'll be with you in a moment" he stood there looking at me and i waited kindly but at least acknowledge me yk. After that i had some trade ins a PS2 Fat and a Nintendo Wii and a handful of games, he then proceeded to offer me $50 for it all that was less than or about 50% market for what i had brought in. Just because i wanted to off load this stuff i was like sure whatever, he then tests the systems and they all work. He then comes back to me and makes me a different offer for them "I can give you $40" it got lower??? Anyways it's better to go take your business with a place that's more honest. It just sucks cus they have a good selection of games. Wish they weren't so shady about their trade ins and prices. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Russ and how helpful he was. Great customer service! I had purchased a game cube game from GameStop for my nephew for Christmas. I didn't realize they had such a short window for returns and exchanges. By the time my nephew opened the game and found out that it didn't work, it was beyond that window. GameStop would not budge. Russ tried to resurface it twice and even set up a machine to test it and unfortunately, it still did not work. I purchased a few other games for my nephew, and I will be back for his birthday and Christmas. Thanks, Russ! read more

The people are cool here but they sell faulty games. I assume they don't test them out before selling them but I went and got Midnight Club LA for PS3 from them, brought it back home and it didn't load at all. Returned it/exchanged for Call of Duty MW3 & Skyrim...MW3 keeps saying "Disc read error". Skyrim is luckily working good. Please test the games before selling them! Having back to back mishaps is annoying honestly. read more

So if you're someone who needs Rock Band equipment for your Wii, this might be the place to check out. The staff is friendly and courteous as well. Incredibly approachable, helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, even if we don't find something on our wish list or that just catches our eye (but we usually do!) it's worth the trip just to say hi. My partner and I feel comfortable coming here knowing nobody is going to assume she's just there because she's with me. GamePlay always has a fantastic selection, they sell brand new games at retail prices and used classic games and hardware at a great price. They also have some original, new and new-old stock consoles, controllers, connectors and batteries available to keep your existing setup going. While mostly console focused, classic PC simming and specialized console peripherals and games do trickle through and I always have an eye on the Steel Battalion controller (in box!) up on the wall. I like the atmosphere, straightforward layout, videos, music or streams running to give background noise without being oppressively loud, the air is fresh and as I have said staff are just rad. read more

One of the staff wasn't wearing his mask properly (it was worn "unopened") and then I saw him take his mask off while we were in the store. He continued keeping it off the rest of the time while talking to us. The other staff there had his mask below his nose. We immediately left when we saw that. In a pandemic this is not acceptable and unsafe. Otherwise, this store does carry a lot of games but I found it to be on the pricier side compared to other video game stores in the area. read more

Amazing place to get video games, new and old. There's a Gamestop across the street, somehow still in business with this store right by. Local shop. Some pros: - Pricematches major stores (walmart, target, BB, etc), unlike Gamestop - Calls you when your game is ready for pickup (I got Persona 5 two weeks early before release from this shop). - Friendly owner. He doesn't push you for preorders. - Has games from the NES to whatever latest console is out there. Also has some movies, collectibles, music. - Overall lower prices on new AND preowned games than other major stores. I bought BotW new here for $50, when GS, WM were selling it for $60. Got XBC2 preowned for $42 (with original case), while GS were selling at $55 (which doesnt even have the original cover, has the junk gamestop case) Just some great things about this store. Can't think of anything else. TLDR: don't bother with other game stores. Go to this one. Lower prices all around, new and preowned. read more

Gameplay is a wonderful used and new game store with an incredible selection of games, extremely fair pricing, good return policies, and exceptionally helpful & knowledgeable staff. They are readily availabke by phone and will answer questions helpfully and promptly. Among their staff, Russ is especially helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and approachable. His customer service is worth coming to the store for over any other game store, excellence of the store's selection aside. It's always a delight when he's behind the counter! He REALLY knows his stuff. I've never had an issue with a game or controller I've bought from them. They vet what comes into their store thoroughly. In spite of this, they have a huge return window for any defective products, which gives me so much peace of mind. I've also found incredibly rare and valuable games there, fairly priced, and they've always been in good condition. They allow me to check for scratches or other damage, which I really appreciate. Every time I go in, I can't NOT get something. Their selection is large, and they're always getting new things. Their preorders are also great. I preorder from them instead of places like gamestop. They call and leave a message as soon as they have it ready. They also have a formidable selection of new games! Some game stores (even major ones) will be out / won't restock some new games once the inital release hype is over unless it's a triple A game. But if you're having trouble finding that game that wasn't released too long ago, check gameplay. Have been to many "retro" video game stores and some have solid deals and know when something is overpriced and they move inventory fast, this place does not have that, they had a couple games for the switch $15-$25 over what they sell for on eBay but I asked about a DS Pokemon game in a case with no price and they check eBay to give you a price and quoted higher than used selling prices. They have a ton of inventory and looked like back stock as well. Seems like they need to do a lot better pricing to move things. Store has a lot of potential but out of all the game shops I have been to this one has been the most expensive. read more

They have a great selection of new and used games and movies, lots of imports, very competitive prices, and a very friendly and helpful staff... what more could you want? One of the biggest factors is the personal experience. These are regular kids who love the items they're selling and they're more than happy to discuss games with you- and NOT in an elitist way! When you shop at Gamestop you have to deal with some greasy faced asshole who doesn't value showering or washing their hair who thinks they are the ultimate authority on video games- your opinion doesn't matter, only theirs. At Gameplay, you can have a good discussion with video game fans who actually want to talk, not just make an attempt to show off all they know. Sure, you may get the occasional weirdo employee who wants to chat a little too much, but they're harmless. I've been shopping here for quite a few years and will continue do so as long as it's open. It's very tempting to make the easy stop at Best Buy- but with places like this, that offer so much more than corporate electronic stores, it's important to make the attempt. read more
