Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.

Been here a few times. First time was for a One Piece Pirate Party event. Talk about first…read moreimpressions. I have been to other local game shops, most of them are 'mom and pop' style (no knock on them), this store is presented very well. Well lit, tables lay out very well, super clean, a couple of monitors to let you know of your queue status for trading in cards. This store feels like something 'official'. The staff are all very friendly. I am starting to build a Chopper collection, but I don't want to break the bank and looking for cards that are under a certain value. They were able to provide me with quite a few options well within my price range which I later checked were all within market value so no rip-offs here. The store events are also really well run and super organized (Shoutout to Lance). Vibes for the whole event is great even for 'new-ish' players like me. Played a game with a really chill guy who brought his son to compete in the same event (Love that). Played against the (eventual) top player of the event who was super patient with me. Learned so much playing. Added note: During the event I lost two of my Chopper Don cards and I asked the store if anyone turned it in which is unfortunate no, but they so very kind enough to give me two Don cards so I can continue participate in the event. Again, really great store and even better service. Overall a great experience!

Dusting my old Yelp account off to give a local store some well deserved props…read more Roughly six months ago my 4 year old son and I stopped by on a random weekend. The place was packed! The owner (super busy due to the event that was ongoing) still found the time to make me and my son feel extra welcome. He even gave my son a Space Marine mini! So I stopped by last week having found a few moments to dive into a new hobby. Again, the customer service was top shelf. Very knowledgeable and provided me with all the options available to me as a point of entry. Off a glance, you can tell this location is run by a staff of one. Devoted to his dream of having a successful shop and building a strong and friendly player base. Supporting him in that goal is the least I can do for the offered free assistance in building / painting my minis and finding games which will be a bit more noob friendly. I'll be happy to return and feed my newly formed addiction, and hope this location sticks around for years to come.

While yes there is a price for the membership monthly fee ($25 as of writing this). It is well worth it. Just the other day I was there playing a game at 2, then came back later with my other friend and got 2 more games in later that night at 8pm. It is really nice having those open hours! Stumbled upon Atomic Comics so we went in and took a walk around. They have a very huge selection of everything - comics, collectibles, etc you name it. Everything is organized and in decent order. The people that work there are ... typical comic book folks. They are super helpful, but not super social but not awkward either. Nice place, inside, the parking can be a little a tight, but it's not bad. Prices seem to be on point with other places in the area. I like it and I am glad we stumbled upon it.
